I really wanted to love my stay Aruba Lagunita. It seemed like a great location, and the pictures made it look beautiful. Unfortunately it really didn't live up to expectations (which were maybe too high). The biggest issue was that the walls in the apartments are paper thin. At all hours of the night you could hear other guests talking, watching TV, showering, and even using the sink. Secondarily while the location seems great on the map, there is a giant lagoon you have to walk around to get to the beach. This takes a while, and has the unfortunate side effect of there constantly being mosquitos biting you while using the living room / kitchen (I'm getting checked for Zika virus as a result). Finally, the photos show a quaint wide angle view of the place. But in reality there a quite a few units tightly packed in. So there was not much privacy, at least when we were there and the other units were full. All in all I wanted to like staying here but wasn't comfortable and probably wouldn't stay again. It's tough to leave a bad review, but I also want others to set their expectations right with this place.

Hi, I really enjoyed my stay at Aruba Lagunita last week. I’ve visited Aruba before and lodged at the hotels. This trip I wanted to stay in a local community. It was an excellent experience. I will be back this year that is how much I enjoyed my stay. The owners and the kids were very nice and helpful. The local grocery store and beach is walking distance. I met so many locals and visitors from around the word. I just love the concept of the apartment units and the outside kitchen. It’s fabulous. I recommend this for everyone. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in a place outside all the touristy spots. Personally that's what I liked about this place. The rooms were clean and the people were nice. Loved the added benefit of having a little kitchen just outside the room. It really did feel like I was staying at an apartment for my trip which was nice. The somewhat downside to the place is that it's at least a 10-15min walk to the beach...although that's not that a big deal in theory however when youre walking in the blazing sun with little to no shade it can be an issue. Other downside, depending on the person, is you don't have access to all the usual amenities that you would in a regular hotel except for a pool. Last but not least, they give you this book that has all the resources you would need like rental car info, supermarket locations, etc but they don't list taxi info....the owner or his wife just tells you to call them if you need a taxi. I thought that was kinda weird and could only justify it by them getting some type of commission from it.🤷🏾‍♀️ All in all I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

I am very happy with my stay, there is a lot of value at this residence. The neighborhood is extremely safe and close to the beach. The rooms were very comfortable, there is a kitchen area that you can easily cook if you so decide. The pool area is great and there is an outside brand new bbq to use if you want. The service was also very courteous. I have 0 complaints and I would visit again. Just have in mind, this is not a 5 star all inclusive hotel and it costs less than 1/3 of that hotel's price.

I had a lovely stay and can only recommend this small hotel. Located conveniently close to the beach and a lot of restaurants. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, with an equipped kitchen to cook if you wish to do so. The property has a pool, a jacuzzi, common areas to gather and a bbq. The owner and the staff were nothing but incredibly helpful and friendly. Would certainly visit again.

Nice spot. Nice amenities. Close to the Marriott and beach. Very low maintenance stay. Would consider again due to a competitive room rate.

This was my second stay at the property; the first stay was booked through Airbnb. The second visit was even better than the first, and my recommendation remains the same: stop looking at alternative accommodations and do yourself a favor and book here! Original review from Airbnb below: This is a wonderful property. My friend and I stayed in Apartment 6 ("The Owner's Club") which is the largest unit — a 2-story haven. The living room (more atrium!) is very welcoming, open, and bright; a great space for playing music. The bedrooms, which are upstairs, were comfortable spaces with very comfortable beds and an awesome private balcony with hammock. The grounds personnel (Joel especially) and the host, Andrea, were wonderful, friendly, and responsive. The location is *very* convenient as it's just outside Palm Beach and just down the street from a super market. Anywhere of interest throughout the island is within a ~35 minute drive. If you're reading this review, do yourself a favor and book this place — don't waste your time perusing other options. You'll thank yourself for it.

This is my second time at Lagunitas. I will continue to go back here, time and time again when visiting Aruba. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always available. This place is impeccable, quaint, relaxing, decorated beautifully, and the beds are comfortable, It is also close to everything. Thank you Andrea and Dora for a wonderful stay!

Loved staying at this small apartment style place. Everything was very clean, well maintained and beautifully landscaped. Had a family friendly atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating.

Aruba Lagunita was a real find. Charming, quiet, comfortable, clean, well priced and only 2 short blocks from Palm Beach and all of the big hotels. Excellent value and highly recommended.

The location is perfect. It is in walking distance of casinos, beautiful beaches, public transportation, front door tour pick-up destination option, and close to the resorts restaurants and beachfronts.

Great stay at Aruba Lagunita! This place was everything my group needed. We rented apartment 6 (for 4 of us) + apartment 4 (for 2 of us). Apartment 6 was a real winner with two floors! Gorgeous rooms and outdoor area to swim, relax, and hang out. Only a 5 minute walk to the Marriott and the strip through a path. Google maps says it’s a 20 minute walk bc they don’t know about the path. I communicated with the owner Andrea via WhatsApp and he answered all of my questions and was very responsive! Would definitely stay here again for my next visit to Aruba!

We enjoyed our vacation a second time In Aruba Lagunita Apartment 2. This location is wonderful, we love it. Never we would change to live in the big hotels. Perfekt for relaxing :) Everything is very clean and tidy. The garden with swimmingpool and Jacuzzi are wonderfull. We often used the grill in the garden. You can delivery food from Superfood. The owner are very nice and very friendly staff. The way to Palm Beach is 15 Min on food Or you take a bus very cheap to another beach Thank you for the great time in Aruba Lagunita !!!!

Wonderful stay, excellent location, wonderful staff, very clean. The cost was great, the pool was peaceful. The tv went out during my trip but the owner eventually replaced it. They offer free Wi-Fi, cable television in English. The location is about a mile from the beach we would walk up and get a taxi back. Taxi cost between 9-14$ one way. They also have safes in the room we didn’t use. Best stay for my first visit in Aruba! I would love to go back and stay here i wouldn’t stay anywhere else

Amazing property! Just returned from a 6 night stay with my teen daughter - we loved our 1 bedroom apartment at this beautiful complex! Grounds are gorgeous and the apt. was spacious and exceptionally clean! The hosts are very friendly and live on property which is directly across from the Marriott hotel on Palm Beach. We are already planning our next trip back and will be staying here, again! Loved everything!

Great Experience for me and my girlfriend, I stayed at Aruba for 11 days in the Aruba Lagunita. The location is wonderful, clean and more curate. The pool area is very very nice and we relaxed inside more times. The rooms are very cleaned and every three days, clean up again in very accurate method. The hostelles are super accomodate and super appreced with us, for all our holiday. They suggested us more special beach, restaurants and experience to try and in the end of our holiday they helped us to relax restore before our long long fly to home. I will return on Aruba Lagunita other times, maybe next year. See u soon Lagunita Brenno and Michela

Quaint little corner with all necessary amenities. Units are very clean, beds very comfortable spacious shower. Host are very friendly and place is short walk to the beach.

We stayed for a week, and it was terrific. Great host; the place was clean, pool and cabanas were perfect to beat the hit.

This place is awesome. The garden is beautifully landscaped and it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the whole place. The indoor outdoor vibe as great for us bc we don’t really want to spend too much time in the hotel room on vacation, but with a 3 year old we do end up moving more slowly. The bathroom was beautifully outfitted with a spacious walk in shower with rain shower head and a high end mirror that has anti fogging. The kitchen had everything we needed (including coffee) and the cooler, 2 chairs and beach towels were the perfect amenities for great days at the beach. We rented a car from Aruba Cars 4 Cheap so that we could see the island during the day and also walked over to Palm and Moomba beaches in the evenings. Would def stay again! And the staff was great! Cannot say enough good about Aruba Lagunita.
