If doing a tour of Aruba, this is a good place to stop. There are great views of the water and coast. You can climb up the ruins - it's a little challenging - for even more amazing views.

This was a stop on our atv tours by abc tour company. Next to the ruins is a food truck and a very busy restroom which will cost you $1 to use. I would have to say that 98% of people were on a tour and as such, this stop is okay, however, in a perspective, there is no reason to plan a trip to visit this attraction if you are not part of a tour. It’s 15 minute stroll around the ruins at best, though ocean view is very scenic. You won’t find any gold nuggets, though if in search of one, you will have better luck in the downtown Oranjestad.

From the moment I set foot on Aruba’s sun-kissed shores, I was spellbound. The island’s blend of pristine beaches, azure waters, and rich cultural heritage makes it a paradise unlike any other. But beyond its natural splendors, Aruba’s ruins are a testament to its captivating history. Each ancient stone and weathered monument whispers tales of civilizations long gone. Exploring these ruins feels like stepping back in time, offering a profound connection to Aruba’s storied past. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or someone seeking serenity, Aruba promises an unforgettable experience. Its unique blend of modern luxury and ancient allure is a rare gem in the Caribbean. A visit here is not just a trip; it’s a journey through time, culture, and unparalleled beauty.

I enjoyed stopping here because it wasn’t crowded, there was a food truck, the building itself was interesting, and we got to stack some rocks. This is a quick stop but definitely worth it.

Ample parking in front. Worth a stop if you are driving in this side of the island. Nice views of the water.

It used to be a smelter to extract gold from the ore. I think it's worth visiting. Inside there are just rocks and you can go to the top side by trekking. The sea looks extremely beautiful from this point on. There are big waves, which is fun and fantastic. It was a fairly crowded place.

Such a beautiful stone structures! We visited here with the Island Safari Jeep tour, it was a fun stop to learn about the interesting story behind this ruin. It would be really pretty to capture sunrise pictures from here.

Great historical spot. No accommodations of any kind so be prepared. Some food trucks but closed in the morning. There are a lot of flies and some bugs that bite so be mindful.

Just the most amazing thing to see, right along the sea shore, the most unexpected sight, the ruins of a house. But it's not just any ruins, it collapsed in the most beautiful way, with the different colors of the building, in the backdrop of the sea shore, it's just amazing. It's about to be climbed on, just perfect for kids, but the walls block the wind, so by the opening areas, like through the window, it gets extremely windy. The views were breathtaking.

Amazing ruins. Scenic view. Rich history. We rented a car for less than $200 a week and explored the island. It is safe to. About 20 mins from Noord, hotel area.

Around Aruba Tours (ATV_UTV see review) is the best. The saw mill tour and getting to know the history behind it all was very interesting. I recommend wearing some sturdy shoes if you are wanting to go up and take pictures. Lots of big rocks and sharp. The views are amazing you will not be disappointed Brings some money if you want to grab some pretty tasty snacks or a cool drink aside from water. Wear clothes that you do not care about getting dusty. The road up is dusty and very bumby. All around his was an awesome experience.

We got an ATV for the the day, and we were able to see Aruba our way on our time. For $230 you can have a 2 seat ATV from 9-5 they drop off and pick up at your location. So worth it and fun I met so many people, talked to tourists from land, sea, and plane. A very welcoming Desert location.

It is a very interesting point of history in Aruba! Usually visited by guided tour. Can be accessed by vehicle as long as it can handle rough terrain. It does get busy and it's a small area but really neat to see. There were a couple food trucks there as well when we went.

The Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins provide a captivating journey into Aruba's history, offering not only a great view but also fantastic photo opportunities. Accessed via ATVs, the experience may pose challenges for those in regular cars, but the unique vantage point and historical significance make it a must-visit spot for those seeking a blend of adventure and cultural exploration.

Not a lot about the history and inforabout the mines but awesome views and great location for photography. Trails for ATVs, quads around this place. No tickets needed

  • 4/5 Gerry W. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting out of the way spot during El Tours Sightseeing Tour. Old gold mining area and ruins are "fake" pirate castle. Lots of ATV's running around. But best part is the shoreline views. Waves crashing on the old lava flow beach. Beautiful blue water and wind. And lots of little piles/Stacks of rocks visitors have staged.

It was a cool area, but nothing about it was really special to me. It was very crowded and while the ruins were neat they weren't anything memorable.

Great experience. Nice ride through the Aruban landscape which was a great experience. When we arrived at the ruins it was a majestic setting. The ruins are very interesting and it’s cool to see the history of Aruba. The landscape surrounding is amazing. Great site to see. Highly recommend.

Worth the trip if you are on this side of the island, can be reached with regular car no need for a jeep but does make for an easier drive. Great view and a snack truck is parked right outside.

Part of UTV tour. Fun. Climb it. Walk around. See the desert like surroundings and understand a different Aruba. Build a stone statute along the coast.

  • 5/5 Walter S. 2 years ago on Google
Fun place to spend some time climbing across this stone foundry. Fantastic views are visible from atop the structure of the crashing waves along the east shoreline of the Caribbean Sea and Aruba's beautiful landscapes. Take a moment to consider what it must have taken to build and maintain this structure over 100 years ago.

  • 5/5 Philip Q. 1 year ago on Google
Very impressive in the way the building is constructed, the rocks are stacked on top of each other without the use of mortar. When you get to the top of this structure, the view is quite impressive. The steps and paths may be narrow: use caution. The pay toilet is 1 US Dollar or if you are bold enough there is a divot on the western corner where you can relieve yourself behind some low lying walls.

A nice stop on the way to or back from the Natural Bridge. Fun rock tower location! I don't necessarily recommend coming just for this but if this place is near you then it's a fun place to stop by!

  • 5/5 Andris D. 1 year ago on Google
Another great place to visit. While you there, the natural bridge is a short drive away. You can go as part of a tour or on your own if you have a car. It's free if you drive.

Not much to really see other than the ruins which you can’t go into. It’s okay for taking a few quick photos. Make it part of the drive to the National park and it’s worth the time since it’s free.

  • 5/5 Angel H. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely a unique visit!! I wasn’t brave enough to venture up but many people did. I would say it’s worth a quick ten or fifteen minute stop on your way to/from the Natural Bridge. There was also a food truck there and paid bathroom if you need to make a stop.

Nice attraction to visit… and hopefully the food truck is here when you stop by. Enjoy the site, the wonderful breeze coming off of the ocean, and don’t forget to check out the stacks of rocks (you’ll know what I’m talking about!)!

If you are on the Island definitely a place you should visit. This goldmine ruïnes is a nice spot to take gorgeous pictures and you can explore the ruïnes. If you like to hike there are different hiking routes you can take from this place....enjoy and explore the Island.

Came here on a UTV tour and definitely an attraction worth visiting. Ruins are fun to wander, and views are wonderful. Fairly crowded during the middle of the day, but take 15-30 minutes here to explore.

Well worth stopping at and checking out If you're heading for the Natural Bridge rock formation, the Bushiribana ruins are a great place to stop. Set into a coastal rock formation and oozing with atmosphere, this old stone structure makes for some great photo opportunities and provides an excellent view of the surrounding coastline.

I love this island but this pile of rocks (more or less all it is) isn’t that exciting. It’s a half broken down former gold smelt. Worth stopping if you’re driving past but I wouldn’t drive especially to visit.
