Sister restaurant of Corazon Cocina. They accommodated my corn & wheat allergy and recommended 4 Guisos De La Casa which is essentially 4 taco fillings with a side of tortillas and substituted green lettuce. My boyfriend got the fried quesadilla (de la “esquira”). Our server Brandon was so hospitable and even encouraged us to try their speciality hot drinks (not pictured). Amazing experience and highly recommend!

Amazing food!! Authentic Mexican, delicious one of the best I've had in a very long time. The mole sauce with honemade totopos is spectacular, the salsas they bring you each one unique, each delicious in it's own way. Every dish typical home made Mexican brought to the next level. I still think about the food. I only wished I lived in California to eat there more often. 10/10

I had a pleasant experience at Corazon Comedor. Gonzalo was very attentive and gave us excellent service. He suggested us to take our cafecito after our meals just to make sure we wouldn't over power the spiciness in our palate. The food overall was flavorful. The green chicken tamale I would say is my favorite. It brought back beautiful memories of when I go to Mexico for the posadas and the señoras take out the first tamale to check to see if they're ready. My husband and I also tried the Pa' probar option. This option gives you the freedom to choose from the list of guisos they are currently serving. We chose cochinita pibil, chicharrón, camarones en morita, and champiñones en chipotle. My favorite from this list is the champiñones en chipotle and chicharrón. The cochinita pibil could have a little more flavor, but don't take my word for it because my palate is not the same as yours. You would need to try it yourself. I also had a champurrado that I fully enjoyed. It's a drink made out of corn flour dough and mixed with chocolate and cinnamon. It was perfect for this cold weather. Ramon, the owner, was kind enough to approach us and share his idea of building this restaurant to make it feel homey. His idea is to be able to present a place where anyone can come in and feel welcomed to his home; from the decorations to what is being served. I can definitely agree with what he has presented so far. I can't wait to see what else he will be presenting in his menu.

My wife and I visited this restaurant after seeing news of a new Mexican restaurant in town. As Mexicans, we love great Mexican food, and since this is billed Mexican comfort inspired by Mexico City street foods, we had to try it. As soon as we saw the menu, we were disappointed. Some of the best street foods from Mexico City are not on the menu. Most importantly, there are no Tacos al Pastor. That is what Mexico City is known for, as well as tortas, tlacoyos, gorditas, and sopes. None are on the list. We ordered some enchiladas, guacamole, and a quesadilla plus sodas. The bill was over $50 before tip. Then I saw they charged $9.50 for a tamale and almost $7.00 a taco. It's expensive for what they give you. The guacamole was a small scoop. I will say the service was great. But overall, it feels like American Mexican food. Santa Barbara has better options for Mexican comfort food. .

If y'all have been to Corazón Cocina then you know how good the food is, Corazón Comedor is the same! We had a great time here. The service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and even Chef Ramon attended us. He was very welcoming and informative of the salsas they had to offer which were all delicious. We only had tacos this time but can't wait to go back and try all the other stuff they offer.

Unassuming on the outside but beautiful on the inside. Service was fast and friendly! And the food, just wow. Though I may not be the most versed in Mexican food, it's the best I've ever had. This place deserves more attention and I will surely be back for more. (PS The Arrachera was incredible)

What a gem! The food here is delicious. I had the huevos rancheros Andy boyfriend had the chiliquilles. Both were amazing and their chips and salsa are the best I’ve ever had. Would eat here everyday if I could.

The food here is great, being a sister restaurant to Corazon Cocina at the Public Market. We shared a tamale, a quesadilla and some enchiladas. The best was the quesadilla de guiso, would highly recommend it. The enchiladas were fine, nothing mind blowing or out of the ordinary. For being “comfort food”, the price point is quite high - be prepared to spend ~$20-25 per person for a regular meal. A single taco is pushing $6 depending on the type which feels pretty extreme.

Ray our server was amazing and the chef was incredibly accommodating in splitting the pazole amongst the seven of us in the party! Wonderful atmosphere, so cute and decorated tastefully with accents of charm. The food was phenomenal and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Barbara — the tamale and pazole are both made by the chef’s mother and it tastes exactly like that! So authentic and perfectly home cooked warmth that is refreshing at a Mexican restaurant. This place gets packed so make sure to make reservations! It will be well worth your time.

Everything here was top notch!! Supervisor Gonçalo and Rey , were very attentive. Rey , who assisted our group gave a little intro to their menu and idea behind it. Tortilla chips with beans and sauces was on house. It was good. We ordered flautas de papa ( potato) , de la ‘esquina’ as appetisers. Had Chicken Tamales, local fish and (Todos Santos enchilada shrimp) for entrée. Everything was delicious.

This place is spectacular! Truly authentic, we went for breakfast and they had a selection of about 10 dishes, plus we had Berry Mojitos which were delicious! The waitress and hostess were delightful, explaining everything. The atmosphere was very warm, it was clean, not to mention the restrooms were spotless. The "appetizer", a sort of chip with beans and cheese came with 4 sauces, all delicious varying in heat levels. The habanero one I found to have less heat than the other three ironically even though it was supposed to be the hottest. Dishes were displayed very well, almost fancy and tasted worderful. We got two dishes and split them so we could try multiple things. If you are in town visiting, do not skip this place on the places to visit and eat at

This place was delicious! I went on a Saturday for brunch around 11:15am and got a table right away. Started to get busy around 11:45am. It was my first time there so I ordered the breakfast burrito and berry French toast. SO GOOD! Coffee was spectacular as well. 😃

Best authentic Mexican food yet in Santa Barbara! The sopecitos and tamales and mole enchiladas are amazing. I am Mexican and can truly say the cooking is better than what I cook in my own kitchen. The staff were amazing!!! Even though you have to order at the register and then go sit at your table they were very attentive to us and came around asking if we needed anything else. Highly recommend it.

Modern twist on Mexican food with fancy presentations, finger licking authentic food and great friendly service by the staff. This is a family owned restaurant which opened within the last year. We were a party of 7 and Brandon took excellent care of us (including advising us for dishes with nuts as one of us had allergies). We ordered a mix of vegetarian and other dishes and all of them looked and tasted great! The drinks can probably get a little better (bit more alcohol) and ordering at the table definitely would be a great help! Definitely coming again soon.

Presentation, service, and quality of food were all top notch! The mole on the chips was delicious, I'll have to try the mole enchiladas next!

So good!!! Corazon inspires again with authentic, creative, well presented, and delicious Mexican food. It's a little different from their other SB restaurants as the ambiance has a more homestyle vibe, dishes are served on real plates, but you still order at the counter.
