Very crummy apartment and the ”singles” are a scam… They don’t explicitly tell you that there’s a sliding door that separates the two “singles.” Photos and tour are very misleading. Find another place. All the five star reviewers were paid so don’t fall for them.

I can’t recommend ICON - it’s a big scam. I moved out at the end of March and I am still waiting for reimbursement of the security deposit (500$) and prepaid last months rent (1124$). My last two emails are getting ignored and it is impossible to reach the leasing-office via phone. In addition I was assured by one of the managers that I will receive the money back via credit card, the original form of payment. He promised to give me a call back when all the paperwork is done, but he never did. Suddenly it turned out that credit card reimbursement is not possible and that I will receive a check. As stated above, I still didn’t receive the check. As you can see, ICON management is extremely unprofessional. If you don’t want to have any trouble with your housing, don’t chose ICON. Even one star is too much.

So let me start by saying how filthy gross this apartment complex is. The elevator had throw up in it that was never cleaned. The stairs to get to the 3rd floor were even worse. Second thing I’d like to say is when I was moving out, I was the last person to leave the apartment upon moving out, however there was tons of stuff left in the apartment that wasn’t mine. The owner of the stuff (my ex housemates stuff) that was left in the kitchen got put on me. She complained to the front office that they were scared they weren’t going to get their deposit back because I didn’t throw away their stuff or clean up after them. Such a big joke. And when I called to tell them what really happened, the lady at the front desk was unbelievably rude and didn’t listen to my side of the story at all. Definitely one of the worst places I’ve lived in isla vista and I highly suggest never living at this horrible establishment. This place is a joke.

I’ve lived here for 2 years now and am super happy with the new management. Staff is always friendly and takes our concerns seriously. The place has great amenities, nice rooms, and a wonderful maintenance staff that arrives promptly

I have lived here for two years, but the past six months have been amazing because of the new management. Brett and Javier are so friendly and have gone above and beyond to take care of all of my needs. The maintenance team, Luis and Esteban, are super quick and have great attention to detail. When the floods damaged my ceiling, I was put up in a hotel while management and maintenance worked diligently to fix it up and get me back home ASAP. Being right next to campus and having a fully furnished place with an in-unit washer/dryer has been so convenient. This was the best way to end my time in Isla Vista and I have nothing but gratitude for the good people of ICON!

Had a wonderful experience living here! I appreciate the staff, specifically Meera Memula, as she was always extremely understanding and helpful concerning any issue I had. I 10/10 recommend staying here!

I stayed at Icon Gardens for a year and it was by far the best student housing property in SB. Great pricing, good room layouts and right in the heart of isla vista. Definitely recommend it to students attending sbcc/ucsb

It’s good quality overall. The kitchen is a bit small for the 6 person suite I’m in and there isn’t a lot of shelving either but aside from that it gets the job done
