A waitress, Nicole, was super nice and kind. I was happy and satisfied with her customer skills. 1. I love their savory salad. The vegetable was fresh although they provided already mixed salad. 2. Steak and Duck Combo is really great and rare to eat both of meat. Steak was juicy and great grade. Additionally, cooking steak is reliable since they have open window to show how to cook steaks. 3. *Steak Sauce* is the best sauce. Mandarine or Orange Steak sauce was perfect harmony with steak and even duck. The sauce helps not to be sick and tired of the meat, and can help to keep eating and eating again.

Good, but not great. The atmosphere is good. I was disappointed when I saw the $73 rib eye steak size. All of the meats tasted good. But it is served with an average potato and average vegetables. A little overpriced if you ask me. Great service 👏. I'm more than likely to give another restaurant a shot before I go back.

Everything we heard about this place is True! The Steaks are bbq grilled and are delicious, perfectly seasoned! Mushrooms out of this world great! The service is fantastic, our waitress Sue, was the best! Celebrated my moms birthday and Sue brought out a dessert 🍨 mom loved! The restaurant was featured prominently in the movie Sideways!

My first time here but I wanted to be thorough so forgive the long review. Like everyone else I wanted to come here ever since seeing Sideways. My first impression was cozy, extremely dark, an overall nice dinner environment. First I was really disappointed by the limited menu. There simply wasn’t much to choose from. 3 apps, 1 chicken, 1 fish, a few steaks. Nothing like the selection at say AJ Spurs. The waitress was super sweet and told us the specials. After nothing on the menu grabbed me, I decided to go for the 8oz chopped beef steak patty on brioche bun that was on special. I got bacon as an add on and oh boy am I glad I did!!! Anyone who reads my reviews knows burgers are my thing. And this one was amazing! Medium cooked top sirloin patty, fresh sides, great soft bun and a house made ketchup sauce. But the bacon…. The bacon!!! See the included pics!!! The bacon was more like slabs of rib or pork chops! Thick, juicy, fatty cuts of prime pork pushed this already great burger over the top!!! I do think they need to add some things to the menu, but overall the burger saved the day, I was not let down!

Low-key but delicious steakhouse. They start you off with some veggies, maybe to clean your palette? No idea but I'm always down for some fiber. Their bean soup is completely vegetarian and really flavorful while the salad is pretty standard but still good. For entrees, I ordered the pork chop which has really great flavor and didn't seem too salty along with the baked potato. My hubs ordered the 10oz New York steak with the magic seasoning and that was really flavorful too. All in all, a solid steakhouse restaurant.

I'm sorry, but for this kind of money I'm not eating dinner in a tent with zero view, in a parking lot, with port-o-let bathrooms. Even though they're nice port-o-lets. Although service was perky and attentive, they couldn't make up for the poor food and absence of ambiance. Let's start with the bare bones small table in an oil stained parking lot slot, with the Waffle House hand written table number on a stand, and no salt or pepper (had to ask for it). The grilled Texas quail appetizer was tasty but tiny, and the the clam chowder was very light but a bit bland. My garden salad was basically lettuce and dressing, no tomatoes, no onions, and a few carrot chards. On a high note, the pork chop was very good and the accompanying Wild Turkey sweet potatoes were excellent. But my "prime top sirloin" was inedible. After a few chew and spit repetitions I called the server and he brought me a better cut. And take a look at that fancy steak and potato presentation. But it was too late and my appetite was being satisfied by some cold draft Firestone DBAs instead. We have had good food here a couple years ago but this was an expensive disappoinment.

Lunch is served across the parking lot over at the winery rather than in the steakhouse itself. The two vegetarian options include a Beyond Burger and a portobello sandwich, which I chose and was delicious. There was also free broccoli slaw. The service was amazing and the view of the valley and Ostrich Land was beautiful.

Loved the outdoor lunch area. It's shady and has gorgeous views. You can even see ostriches in the distance, which is super fun. Wine is great! Food was good. What I didn't like was that they use plastic cutlery and paper cups, very wasteful.

Fantastic Steak house, service was wonderful. The wait staff was on top of it and able to answer any questions quickly and with spot on knowledge. The ribeye and fillet mignon melts in your mouth (medium rare because I'm not a heathen). All in all a 10/10, I'll be back.

One of the best steakhouses on the central coast. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was buttery soft and juicy like any well cooked steak, it needed no steak sauce. The appetizers were the bomb, I highly recommend the bbq mushrooms sautéed in their own branded wine. I celebrated my birthday and the staff was amazing from the manager Angel to Chef Jesus and Morgan our waitress they all made my celebration awesome. They even came out with a birthday dessert.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here and the food was absolutely delicious. Appetizer was wonderfully combined: roasted pepper with shrimp and goat cheese, served with (spicy) corn salsa. I had the chicken and it was so tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Served with many sides (salad, garlic bread, and I chose baked potato), I couldn't finish my plate. While I wouldn't make more than a 30 minute trip to eat here again, I would DEFINITELY visit again when I'm in the area. Sidenote: make reservations on the weekend! They book up quick!

We had a choice of two restaurants next to each other, both opened at 4 p.m. We waited for one to open but ended up going to the Hitching Post 2. Now here is where I read the Google reviews and both had their good points, yet in the end I'm happy we chose this place because we wanted more light with our dining experience. We Chose to sit out in the big white tent in the back. We weren't concerned with the prices because we know what rib places cost nowadays. Both meals were satisfying and tasty. We had good conversation good food and a good time. My favorite was the pork chop dinner while my girlfriend had the chicken dinner. I enjoyed watching the TV monitor with the cook actually cooking the food on the grill. If you ever ask yourself why man loves meat this TV show says it all. Thanks to Genevieve our waitress for being responsive to all my weird questions.Gracias.

We reserved a table but had such great service at the bar we decided to stay. My filet was cooked perfectly! The artichoke appetizer was excellent! And the strawberry short cake was the best I've ever had.

Perfectly grilled steak, amazing duck and quail, our waitress was superb. Surprisingly it was the mussels that made everyone crave for more.

In the words of John McEnroe, You've gotta be kidding me! Absolutely the f In best. Must eat the bone in ribeye and baby back ribs. Everything was killer.

The Hitching Post is a casual fine dining establishment. The atmosphere was average but the food was very good. I felt like the presentation was a little lacking but none the less it was very good food. They gave us a very nice anniversary ice cream and fruit cup, which we really appreciated. The drinks, on the other hand, were refreshing but nothing special.

My first visit was for lunch. I opted for the outside "picnic" like tables over looking the valley below and the ostrich farm in the distance. It was an awesome setting, beautiful day. The large trees afforded just enough shade. I ordered r the ribeye. It came with French fries. Both were delicious, seasoned and well prepared. One of the best ribeyes I've ever had. Once the servers bring your meal to you, they give plenty of space for you to enjoy without feeling as though they're hovering. Periodically, they come by and ask if you need anything but they pretty much let you enjoy the meal experience. I really like that. I've known about this place for 30+ years but never stopped in for a meal. I'll likely stop in regularly now.

Though well known of its steaks, neither of us felt like steak, unfortunately. Ok ambience, old style. Serice was great! The lamb chops were excellent! Pork ribs were a different style, but could certainly taste the high quality of the ribs. The appetizer mussels were delicious.

My #1 steakhouse, there service above and beyond, the food comes out perfect, Angus ribeye, and the dessert from the apple pie when they have it to the cheese cake drizzle mouth watering. 😋

Another must experience if you're a Sideways fan. Steak was perfectly cooked. Service was good. Do not expect a quick meal here. Make reservations. Try the lentil soup.

We celebrated our anniversary here and were treated so well. The restaurant is a little more upscale, but not fancy. The food is delicious. I had the grilled fish and it was perfect. Flavorful and juicy. My husband had the steak and shrimp como, also delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the rice pilaf. I feel like rice pilaf is hit or miss, in general .And this one was a miss for me. It had lots of slivered almonds and wild rice so the texture was very crunchy. Otherwise a wonderful place to eat.
