What a nice surprise! Wish there were more establishments like this. The food is excellent, the team so so friendly! Passed through driving up from LA to SF but it’s so good we’ll be back just to spend the evening to dine at Ember. Loved everything we ordered but in particular the 50 layer lasagna was a stand out!

Food is always excellent here! Was a little disappointed with having to wait 40 minutes on top of our reservation. They are busy and tried to make accommodations for us but we ended up being sat next to the a door to the patio area which ended up being very breezy. A nice atmosphere despite that, and the table service is top notch.

Ember was a nice surprise. We made a reservation last minute and we were seated a few minutes after our reservation. We opted for a pizza as an appetizer and it was great. The crust was delicious, it was served promptly and in order. For our main course we went with a rib eye that was cooked to our specification. Very tender, and the potatoes were also great. I ordered a Cabernet Franc, the bottle paired really well with our rib eye. Delicious bottle for a reasonable price. Dessert was great. The toasted marshmallow is the special one. The others were pretty standard. Good but nothing special. Toasted marshmallow was great. Service was good, also. Attentive, quick and friendly. The best part of this was the price: $300 or so for four people, with wine and dessert. Great experience, I’d go back.

Ember has become my favorite restaurant and I will always recommend to anyone that wants a superb meal! I always make sure to make a reservation right when they open because I love watching the atmosphere change to dim and busy, and it is a little quieter. The staff is knowledgeable and such a joy to talk to! I usually never like vegetables from restaurants, but Ember knows how to cook them. I always eat them first! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.. it is all so delicious!

Listen! I don’t think I’ve ever given this high a rating to any restaurant in the US. Ember was worth the hype. We can’t wait to return. My steak was cooked perfectly. The entire dish ate well. The mezcal cocktail was delicious. Dessert was decadent and not too sweet. The ambiance was lovely and intimate.

When I mentioned to someone about coming to ember, he said, oh it's not good. Don't go there. We had a reservation so we ignored his advice. So glad we did. Crispy quail - Absolutely delighted. Crispy and spicy. Loved it. So much flavor. Squid - Another surprisingly delicious appetizer. Spicy and crispy squid. Three white beans was nicely flavored and the charizo was very flavorful. Spicy and delicious dish. Pepperoni pizza - Very good pizza. The crust was fresh and charred to perfection. I believe there were anchovies there, a bit overwhelmed but still, along with the greens made it quite tasty. Surprising, I prefer the bianco because the pepperoni was on the salty side. Filet mignon - didn't taste the beef but it looks like the medium rare was done perfectly. The potatoes gratin was excellent. Doesn't have much cream but tasted the butter flavor it was really savory. Bianco pizza - The quality of cheese just exploded in your mouth. Though it didn't have anything but cheese yet it's delicious!

Finally had an amazing dinner from Ember! I won’t lie; the other two times I’ve been here have been very disappointing but this one was worthwhile. Started out with the baked goat cheese and peach salad and the fried green tomatoes with shrimp. Both delicious and very fresh. Then we had the poblano and cheddar sausage and the Alaskan halibut. Also amazing options! A lot of seasonal ingredients so tomatoes and basil flavors in the fried tomato appetizer and the halibut dish. We finished off with the toasted marshmallow ice cream cake. Would highly recommend all these options! Came later on a Sunday night so maybe that helped.

The pizza is very very good. Probably some of the best wood oven pizza we’ve ever had. Service is also great. But, the other dishes we got: the squid, filet mignon carpaccio, and duck leg confit were a bit disappointing, especially for the price.

Excellent food and service. The rosemary bread was tender and delicious with just the right amount of bite. The filet was perfect. Smoky and juicy. Lasagna was delicious. So many layers, but not a thick cut. The sole was also great. Our only issue was the meatball appetizer we ordered came with a couple raw in the center meat balls. Kitchen took care of it, but that should never happen. Gordon Ramsey would have been screaming.

Delicious pizza, 50 layered lasagne and the best dessert we’ve ever had (chocolate cake, ice cream, hazelnut crunch, salted caramel and marshmallow). The service was very good - prompt and friendly. A great ambience and high quality tasty food

Been here about five times and every single time was amazing. The menu changes every so often, which could be a good or bad thing. Bad because, if you eat something you absolutely love, the menu is going to change. The good thing is, every time the menu does change, it is still amazing. Each dish is like a work of art. Not only is it pleasant to the taste buds, but to the eyes as well. I frequent this establishment with my wife, on date nights, and we eagerly anticipate new menus. It's like anticipating the next book from your favorite author and never being disappointed. I wouldn't consider this a family restaurant because the prices are a bit on the steep side, although, they have wood oven pizza for kids if they join you. This is a great "date night" or "friends get together" outing. I believe the ingredients are from local farms, so that is assuring of freshness. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this restaurant. The photos submitted are of an espresso martini, which was DELICIOUS, and dessert. I believe it was a chocolate terrine. I didn't get a picture of the main course or appetizer because I just forgot and dug right in.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is rustic in decor, but it feels creative and has great energy. The chef is amazing. I love it when you taste something and it’s so delicious that you have to figure it out and then you are shocked to learn what yummy things are in it. The Woodfire oven makes everything taste so good. The sides, desserts, And salads Have unexpected and delicious surprises in them. We usually go to the central Coast from Orange County for wine and we have to drive about 40 minutes to go to Ember from where we stay but it is worth it every time.

I have been coming to Ember for YEARS and every time I come it’s outstanding! You can not go wrong with anything on the menu, my partner and I always try to come whenever there’s new additions on the menu, as it’s always local, and in season curated dishes. Also, the toasted marshmallow dessert is a MUST try. Literally the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Ember is always an exquisite experience! The menu changes monthly so there are new and exciting things to try. They always have their pizza options, one of their signatures, along with steak, fish and poultry with delectable pairings of sides and prepared in creative and mouth watering ways. The crew are all very friendly, nice and helpful. It's fun to watch the chefs work their magic in the open view kitchen with their famous brick oven. They have comfortable indoor and outdoor dining as well as bar seating. The atmosphere is elegant and lively. Being parents of two beautiful young Daughters, we don't get out much so it had been a while since we last visited Ember and we learned that they now accept reservations so it would likely be a good idea to set that up in advance. We arrived just about 4:30p and were able to get a seat easily as there were only a few other parties there at that time, but when we inquired about dessert we were told that our table had a 6p reservation so we didn't have much time. That was disappointing since we still had wine to finish, we certainly felt a bit rushed at the end and weren't able to enjoy some dessert.

I have been back here multiple times, and I've noticed the service has not been so excellent lately. Food also has changed, and the price you pay with service seems higher than when it first opened. Three times the hostess was unkind and had so much attitude. I'm unsure if she's trying to have an LA attitude to elevate her position or is not the right fit for the job. One other time we also made a reservation, and we were told that if you do not choose what type of table, we automatically got seated at the bar. Who sits at the bar? It was a special occasion, and we sat at the bar because I did not want to make a scene. The hostess was so unfriendly and accommodating and then called the manager, who then told us that we were the ones that made the reservation, and so the mistake was on our end. For a place that wants to be upscale and hopes to get a Michelin star, these types of service issues should not be happening. Previous Review: Good food and good service. I ordered the ribeye, and it was delicious. We also shared the marshmallow dessert, and that was scrumptious. By the way, the drinks were good too!

The BEST restaurant. One of my favourite in California. The service, the meals, the vibes were all amazing. This is a MUST visit. The menu changes daily but some of their classics are always available.

This was a 2-star review before the desert showed up. We visited on a Friday night, made a reservation for 8 PM it was busy when we arrived and watched 6 other parties get seated before us. are table for 3 wasn’t ready till 8:30 and we were the last party to be seated for night. It was a two top and the server grabbed an extra chair to make it for 3. Patio was alright with propane heat. Server was friendly but somehow lost our drink order we received our starters and entrees before getting our drinks. Ordered the shrimp and pasta dish was warmed it was spicy which was not the case. Maybe a 2 out of 10. Dish was good but could have really used the spicy The manager did offer desert after the drink issues which partially saved the night and was the highlight. But for the price ($200+) and the lack of service getting seated on time and the drink issue it was not a great first impression. May try again just for the toasted marshmallow desert!

Great experience and wonderful customer service! Our server, Joey, was great - he remembered us from our last visit in 2020. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing; great service all around, this place is highly recommended! We enjoyed the Avocado Salad and Grilled Filet Mignon 👌

We have had the most amazing meals the other two times we’ve eaten here. Tonight our ribeye was not up to par. It was not tender. The smoked chicken dish had all of its flavors and ingredients so mixed that it was almost like a stew or soup instead of smoked chicken and risotto and vegetables. However our fried green tomatoes were excellent. We were so disappointed compared to our previous meals and now think we’re not likely to come back.
