"We
are
all
made
of
something
different"
I
feel
like
i
walked
into
the
restaurant
I've
been
spending
my
whole
life
looking
for.
I've
only
been
in
Detroit
for
two
years,
but
in
two
pandemic
years,
that
means
i
haven't
gotten
to
eat
at
many
places
here
with
lockdowns
and
protocols.
Coming
from
Los
Angeles,
the
skies
in
the
D
couldn't
have
shone
any
brighter
upon
me
as
i
entered
Breadless.
A
place
with
parking
in
a
charming
neighborhood,
next
to
a
trusty
old
friend
in
red
hook
(I
grabbed
a
latte
after).
The
moment
I
walked
in,
a
modern
take
on
fast
casual.
I
was
greeted
by
everyone
with
such
enthusiasm.
The
energy
in
the
room
from
everyone
there
was
so
bright
it
just
put
me
in
an
amazing
mood.
Every
guest
who
walked
through
the
door
was
instantly
transformed
into
a
state
of
good
vibes.
You
might
have
called
me
"breathless"
because
it
took
my
breath
away.
It's
such
a
modern
and
fresh
concept,
i
find
it
amazing
this
place
was
hatched
here
in
Detroit.
The
food
offers
so
many
low
sugar,
healthy
green
and
meaty
options
with
plenty
of
vegan
choices,
that
i
could
bring
any
set
of
friends
here
to
find
a
knockout
dish.
No
food
preference
is
a
second
class
food
citizen
here.
While
I'm
not
usually
keto
or
Paleo,
this
place
is
great
for
these
good
choices
which
is
my
general
preference.
Perhaps
you
might
wonder,
what
is
breadless?
It's
certainly
not
an
afterthought
junk
"un-wich"
that
puts
a
sub
sandwich
in
between
some
nutrient-void
iceberg
lettuce.
These
sandwiches
are
designed
with
hearty
power
greens
to
serve
where
bread
might
traditionally
be
used.
As
a
lover
of
greens,
you
can
get
it
wrapped
in
rainbow
chard
(the
inspiration
for
their
branding
color
palette),
kale
and
other
such
lovely
leaves.
I
was
nervous
about
sauces
and
juice
in
a
leaf
wrap,
but
this
was
no
issue.
I
also
wasn't
sure
if
you
could
tame
an
otherwise
unwieldy
pastrami
in
a
least
wrap.
Boy
was
i
surprised!
It
was
perfectly
applied,
and
honestly
not
sloppy
or
loose
like
a
typical
sandwich.
It
was
packed
hard
and
certainly
didn't
drip.
There
were
a
lot
of
really
nice
spring
vegetable
ingredients
on
them
as
well.
You
can
also
get
them
served
as
a
hot
bowl
if
you're
in
more
of
a
"fork"
mood.
They
have
some
really
creative
side
dishes
in
dried
veg
chips
in
jicama,
carrot,
and
cauliflower.
And
some
what
i
would
call,
"agua
frescas"
lighter
on
sugar
and
big
on
flavor.
You
can
also
get
pressed
juices
and
other
drinks.
I
tried
a
pair
of
sandwiches
because
i
couldn't
pick
just
one.
I
had
to
follow
the
rainbow
chard
and
go
for
the
"Chardi
B"
and
the
pastrami
sandwich
(i
forgot
the
name).
They
were
both
amazing
i
would
offer
both
again.
My
friend
ordered
a
Chardi
b
in
a
bowl
and
loved
hers.
We
ate
outside
with
some
other
patrons
and
chatted
it
up.
Everyone
there
lived
how
different
and
healthy
it
was.
I
took
a
Chardi
B
sandwich
back
for
a
friend
at
work
who
had
never
had
a
Breadless
sandwich
and
was
shocked
by
how
awesome
it
was.
One
thing
i
loved
about
my
experience,
was
not
eating
a
freaky
fast
sandwich
and
hitting
a
freaky
fast
wall
a
half
hour
later
when
the
bread
starts
digesting.
After
eating
Breadless
i
felt
like
i
could
have
gone
running.
Also,
i
loved
the
veggie
chips
there
so
much
more
than
eating
potato
chips.
They
also
felt
good.
The
green
juice
was
a
little
more
sugar
that
i
prefer
(12
grams),
but
i
can
live
with
that.
Call
it
"dessert".
I
understand
their
beverage
selection
will
grow
quickly
from
what
they
told
me.
I
did
some
probing
with
the
team
there.
They
have
an
amazingly
talented,
classically
trained
chef,
which
is
why
each
dish
is
not
only
unique,
but
flawlessly
executed
with
perfectly
paired
ingredients.
There's
a
rock
star
team
of
young
food
industry
pros
who
are
looking
to
pop
up
more
of
these.
I
say
to
that
"hell
yes!"
Also,
look
for
a
mobile
app
and
delivery
soon.
I
don't
know
about
where
they
source
their
ingredients,
but
I'm
sure
we'll
find
out
next
time.
I
would
guess
they
have
nice
suppliers.
