Old Goan Restaurant serving authentic Goan cuisine. One of my all time favourites, this place has consistently served delicious food over the years. I especially love their beef steak, which is one of a kind and shouldn't be missed! Staff very courteous and accommodating and the traditional setting makes for some great ambience too!

I used to love this place back then but I had the worst experience recently. I talked up this place to two of my friends and we went there to have their Thali at lunch time, only to find the kismoor and the tisryo sukkah completely stale and spoilt, totally inedible! I took the Prawn Thali and the prawns tasted stale too, completely undercooked. Imagine the shame I felt talking up this place to my friends, only to have poor quality food served. The staff when confronted didn’t own up to their mistake nor changed our plates or served up fresh food, which I would say is poor customer service. Oh and I had a stomach upset later, so nothing good to say about this place really!

Good food, service, and cold beer on a hot day! Pork roast was brilliant but good for a group, cos that was all i could eat. Portuguese insignia plastered all over the walls made for an interesting look.

Good food service , with fine dining you can have chilled beer on hot days. The waiter was so nice and friendly and the food suggested by him was so delicious.

We stayed in Panji for 3 days and we wanted to try some authentic goan food. Major problem was , we are vegetarians and we were not finding any options Gondinho was just next to our hotel and the hotel owner suggested to visit it The restaurant as such is a pretty small one. You will enter to a hall , where they have some 3 tables. And another room is there with some extra tables Food was really good - We tried 2 different goan side dishes ( both with Butter Naan ) • Vegetable xacuti • Vegetable Vindaloo Out of them Xacuti was best. Vindaloo was also good, however we liked Xacuti more We also tried Veg biriyani, it was really flavorful and tasty We went in the Christmas time. There was an old gentleman wearing Santa hat, and serving food. A very cheerful personality, me and my wife were really impressed by his enthusiasm at that age. We requested to take a photo with him and he immediately agreed. I don’t know the name of the man, but cant forget his cheerful and happy attitude I recommend this place if you are looking to taste some good food ( some goan food too )

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The waiter uncle was so friendly he treated us like special guests. Also the owner of the hotel who is very young he came to us and suggested the best dishes and also he explained how it is cooked. I would love you visit there again ❤️

A real hidden gem of a restaurant serving authentic Goa Portuguese food. Hidden in the heart of Panjim a few meters from Church square and 18th June Road, Its surprising not to find a queue waiting to taste the Sorpatel, Pork chops and sausage pulao.

An iconic place to eat in Panjim. Their tisrio (clams masala) is the best I've tried. As is their beef chilli fry. Their steaks are worth ordering as well. Very nicely cooked beef. They serve excellent Goan breads. Only one complaint: The waiters need to pay a bit more close attention to the orders. We ended up getting extra food.

The food of this plase is they have great taste of food. We ordered beef biriyani, beef xacuti, pork chops, mixed fried rice and poie. Except the fried rice, all others are very good. But the Reason I gave 3 star is that it has very bad service. The waiter was having a a bad day. They turn off the AC in the AC room. So it was a a bad situation in room. The non AC section was more cold than the AC room. As a result we could not finish our food..

This is a quaint little place in Panjim , mostly visited by locals , it takes pride in its Portugese heritage and decor and ambiance is testimony for the same. People and staff are chilled out and relaxed. They will take time to bring your order, everyone along with food will be sipping their drinks, visit this one with time in hand people sit for hours here, chatting across tables with unknown people is very common and infact very interesting. I will say typical Goan friendly ambiance is what it offers in abundance. Food portions are good and local Goan sea food is its speciality.Drink menu is nice as with all Goan eating joints. Rates are decent and bathroom are clean. Go for a relaxed chilled out feast do keep time in hand to soak in the ambiance with locals.

I had the pleasure of dining at Godinho Bar and Restaurant and it was an excellent experience. The food was simply delicious! I highly recommend trying their all dishes, especially the "Pork ribs" and "Butter Naan". The flavors were well-balanced, and the chilly chicken was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was a great dining experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a relaxed setting.

Can't recommend to go, a simple fish thali was no good, the fish had no taste, side dishes no good either. Not worth the price, doesn't even serve dessert at the price (which should be served in the price range).

It is located in the heart of Panjim. The restaurant is decorated well. The starters were excellent. Really delicious. The main course was good. The beef steaks are loaded with gravy. The service was a bit slow.

This place has lost its charm. Once being a gem for goan food when Nazareth used to run it, has now turned into a microwave utilizing, food revitalizing sorry state for stale food. Must be yummy for people born in the age of the microwave. For me it's just a NO NO for my palate. Dev Borem Korum

Godinho bar and restaurant used to serve one of the best cafreal in Panjim. It still continues to serve a decent one but is defintiely not worth the price. Food portions for starters are very small and the place charges 4X price of local poi/pao which isn't the case with most other restaurants in the city. Service is okay, nothing to report about

Not worth the price. They use ready to eat frozen Chapatis. We had no choice, because it was getting late and this was the only place with no waiting time, we decided to try this place. Atmosphere was okay but the food quality for such a high price is just not worth it.

The food was awesome and I strongly recommend trying the Goan dishes such as pork roast, vindaloo, beef tongue and beef chilli. The music system needs to be upgraded, as the music selection is beautiful but for some strange reason the volume suddenly gets loud and needs to be tuned lower. The ambience is very nice and the waiters are friendly. It is definitely a place for a good family lunch or dinner.

We have been going to this place for more than two decades. Everytime we are in Panjim, we find ourselves in this restaurant. Food is delicious and not much has changed in its quality. It's always been good delicious food. It's a family owned business that has been around since 1938, if I remember the board right.

  • 5/5 Kimberly S. 3 years ago on Google
In addition to the delicious Goan dishes, their butter chicken is a must try. It's delicious!

  • 5/5 Nikita N. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious food. Their welcome was very warm. Pork dishes are a must try for anyone who loves pork. Beef chilly was superb too. Service is fast. Follow the map and you will get there easily. Avoid reaching around peak times as you may not get parking.

Visited during lunch hours with my wife, ordered the beef steak and pork chop. Both were very well made but the former was impeccable. Do yourself a favour and order poi to mop up the gravy. Has a sleepy, old world vibe to it which we loved personally. Go for a leisurely meal.
