The breakfast was delicious and well met my expectations. Was told about this place awhile ago and finally came. Had a little wait but nothing bad. The waitress we had was very nice and helpful. The food was great, took me awhile to decide on my option. Hot and fresh. The coffee was good too. Definitely coming again soon

This place is a must if your in the area and craving a good breakfast. The Dutch Baby(German Pancake) is one of the best I have ever had. The sourdough toast is perfectly cooked, the bacon is thick and crispy making it one of my favorite things on the menu. The omelettes will never disappoint either. They are huge and full of flavor. The waitstaff are all very nice and extremely attentive which is refreshing to be treated as if they enjoy your business. Combine the food with the great staff and its an experience to dine here that I can’t wait to get back to every time I visit here.

Today I went to the Original Pancake House for the first time. I was really expecting this to be a grande experience, but unfortunately not. It definitely is a very popular place for breakfast. There were a bagillion people waiting to be seated which was fine. The wait wasn’t long at all. When we were seated, the seats were dirty and the floor under our booth was very nasty. After seeing the floor, I just really couldn’t enjoy my meal. I know this maybe petty, but I can’t help it. Our waitress was delightful and kind. The sausage links were really good, and the scrambled eggs were fine. The pancakes were fluffy. My friend had the ham and cheese egg white omelette with tomatoes. I’m not sure how clean the plates were tho’. I would’ve been okay eating off of a paper plate. Thankfully, I brought my own plastic ware. The water glasses just didn’t seem washed well at all. I don’t know. . . I know it’s difficult to clean really well between customers, but my experience today was a tad bit gross. Y’all really have a great thing going at your eatery. However, some people may be turned off by the unsanitary conditions.

A cozy location with a campy atmosphere. I had the cherry Kijafa crepes and they were ambrosial! Quick seating, prompt service. Our order was delivered to the table within minutes of being placed. A wonderful place to grab breakfast!

1st timer!! Love Love Love! Let me start by saying that I am not a pulp person when it comes to my orange juice BUT Leah (our server) sold me, It was fresh and it was so good -Highly recommend! Their was a slight mix up with my order but I was offered fresh fruit for the inconvenience and that made me very happy! I ordered the breakfast scrambler and it was definitely enough for 2! Cooked well & flavorful. I also had the potatoes which were ok… they were lukewarm and could’ve been cooked longer in my opinion. They would’ve been awesome if they were/came crispy. Just a suggestion.! Leah was our server and let me tell you she made the whole experience!! She was friendly, inviting and genuine! Loved her energy- Ask for her & treat and tip her well! ;) Thank you so much Pancakes house definitely will be back.

Excessively large portions with prices to match. Good food. Mostly booth seating, a few tables are available. Our table had slow service, while others were quickly served.

This is my favorite breakfast spot, many times you have to wait but the food is worth it. Stopped here and brought a friend for her first time, we were seated immediately, by the time we left long wait for arriving customers. For, as always is excellent, love this place.

12/10 highly recommend Becky to be your server. If I could, I’d move right in and have her take care of me! The food was beyond delicious with the fresh cream for the coffee, fresh fruit on the pancakes, and home-like service. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town! Thank you for such a wonderful breakfast, Becky!

I love the Original Pancake House and have been to several locations. This one was good, but also the worst location I’ve been to yet. The restaurant is in a good location and in a cute building. I thought the signage was kind of confusing; it wasn’t clear where the main entrance was. There is a variety of seating inside. The staff were pretty good but not overly friendly. The menu is standard for Original Pancake Houses; excellent variety and fair prices. I ordered the cherry crepes and a side of corned beef hash. When our food came out they forgot the hash. It came several minutes later and was slightly burnt. They clearly forgot to put that part of the order in and rushed it. I wasn’t impressed with that. The crepes were okay but not perfect. Overall, I felt this location didn’t quite hold up to the expectations of this chain. I feel with slight refinement it would be excellent.

Excellent breakfast. Staff friendly and speed of food acceptable for what ordered and number of customers inside. Suggest ordering one of the known for special items and sharing between two adults or be ready to take half back home. Had the apple pancake and wife had dutch one. Both very tasty and far from anything the other breakfast places offer. Great job!

It's a great little place that has a wide variety of food. The service is very friendly and very efficient. There's usually a wait but the line goes down quickly. I love the cherry crepes. They have the best thick cut bacon. Strawberries and cream is delicious as an appetizer. My wife likes the strawberry pancakes. She also says the coffee is good.

Hadn’t been here since I was gluten free, but decided to try it again recently, and was delighted to find that there are lots of gluten free options, and they even made me a gf Belgian waffle with their signature cherry topping, it was just amazing, such a treat!

Cute place that is right on a main road and near the freeway for travelers. My husband and I had breakfast here. We had GF pancakes with an egg & sausage plate with an extra side of potatoes. The pancakes were delicious and my husband loved the potatoes. The waitress was friendly and quick. Coffee is Torke brand which makes a decent cup. Big parking lot and both stairs or ramp access into the restaurant (no electric doors though). All table or booth seating. Simple, effective and cute. We will definitely come back!

In town visiting from Tampa and had to stop in at one of my favorite places for pancakes. Once again they didn’t disappoint! I don’t miss living here but I miss eating at this place 😆

Happened to be in Brookfield and in need of breakfast. Decided to check out OPH. Service was excellent, food is tasty and well prepared. Don't be scared by the round "oven baked" omelette like I was. Western omellete with potatoes was plenty of portion. I will be eating the other half later today. Coffee is quality just like the rest of the meal

Only give Atmosphere 3 stars because we were seated right by the really noisy kitchen entrance. Not a huge deal but it made conversation a bit difficult. Food was great! I think I had the corned beef hash which wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it was still good. Service was excellent – server even stuck around to help us take some family photos after already taken care of the check and getting the tip which was really nice of her - she didn't need to do that! Would give 9 or 10 over all stars if I could !! highly recommend, will return!!

A few months ago, while vacationing in Sioux Falls we had our first experience with The Original Pancake House chain of restaurants. It was such a stellar experience we decided to seek out The OPH on future trips for at least one meal out. We were excited to find this Brookfield location and we were looking forward to trying a specialty item our second time around. We were seated quickly at the worst table in the house. The table is directly across from the galley kitchen. There either was no door, or it was propped open, and every staff member was literally yelling in there. The decibel level was so loud, it was painful to my ears. I do have a touch of noise sensitivity but even my husband found the noise level obnoxious. I couldn't hear myself think and I told my husband we either need to move to another table or will have to leave. When our server returned, she seemed annoyed by our request but did oblige and moved us wherever we preferred. She mentioned she would have to give us to a different server but when she saw the other person was not available, she said she would keep us on and seemed less annoyed. I apologized to her and explained the noise level was literally a painful experience and she replied, 'No need to apologize, you like what you like' - her comment really ruffled my feathers as I felt it wasn't a matter of preference it was really a matter of actual physical comfort. I mean, who would choose to subject themselves to a meal they have to literally suffer through? I decided to let it go since we were moved to a quieter location. We ordered standard breakfast fare but also opted to try a Dutch baby from the Specialties of the House section. Our standard fare was fine. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary. We were really hoping that Dutch Baby was going to knock our socks off. You could say it did but not in the way we were hoping for. I truly believe that comes down to tastes. It is a savory, super buttery - flan-like pie with a flaky crust. It is not sweet, and you can sprinkle it with lemon juice and baby powder to alter and sweeten the taste. We did, and it still wasn't our thing. Our server really recovered from the initial exchange, and I sincerely don't hold anything against her. We tipped her well. Sadly, the second time around the OPH fell as flat as the Dutch Baby. I am not going to let that discourage me from trying again if we are ever within the vicinity of an OPH when we travel because our first experience with the Sioux Falls location was that grand. The standard fare was good - service was good - Dutch Baby was not for us. Have to give this one a mid-range rating considering all factors.

This restaurant always exceeds our expectations on food and service. A-amazing German apple pancake, first time we tried it, we can see why its one of their signature dishes, its worth the wait. The restaurant is always busy but we were seated fairly quickly. Great place for a weekday or weekend breakfast!

We didn't have to wait to long. All the employees were very nice. Our waitress was friendly. We had a baked bacon and cheese omlette, chorizo burrito and a eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce it kinds tasted like cream of chicken soup but it was good not great. The pancakes were good and good coffee.

I have wonderful memories of eating and working at an OPH in California, and this location more than lived up to those memories. The service was stellar, their coffee is excellent, and the food qualify is as good as it was 20 years ago on the west coast. One of the most enjoyable breakfast places you can visit.

It was a new place for me and my wife to go I would recommend it for a new breakfast spot or for a nice date and the portion size are great for the price.

Saturday morning packed house in mid February. We showed up at 10am waited 35 minutes for a table. Do not expect to wait anything less on the weekend until after noon. Ordered the sausage omelette with pancakes, very filling and pancakes are a favorite. Ordered the recommended Apple Pancake, loaded with sugar and more like a loaded of pie with lots of glaze. Definitely a shareable dessert dish, not for one person. Probably wouldn’t order it again. Lastly, ordered the Dutch baby which took 20 minutes to make and worth it. I would drive from anywhere just to order this since they are the only ones I know who make it. Original Pancake House is a staple breakfast/brunch joint with great dishes and why locals keep coming back.

The food was what you would expect from somewhere serving classic breakfast food served in hearty portions. Omelet was fluffy and filled full with cheese and bacon. Wait staff was very busy but attentive, and the inside was a bit outdated and crowded.

Been here a few times and wow, it’s just great food. The atmosphere is like a small diner but the quality of the food is amazing. My kids are their entire meal which is incredible and my wife and I both had great dishes. I love omelettes and they make a solid one. My wife got a wrap and it was delicious!

Classic breakfast spot tucked into the edges of neighborhoods and business park areas. Don't be fooled by the use of pancake for the signature dishes -- it's a literal "cake" cooked in a pan. Tall, fluffy, and chock full of your choice of goodness. The Apple Pancake is worth the price of admission.
