Great fishing! Nice and quiet during the week.

This is one of my favorite lakes to fish, not only because it's local, but there's not a lot of heavy pressure like a lot of other lakes in Central Florida. Also, if you want to, you can often find a secluded area of this lake where you can fish without being bothered by water skiers.

I wasn't there, but if MLF & Ott Defoe was here it's on my list of favorites to go fishing at.

I've lived in Clermont for over 40yrs and have enjoyed the Johns lake chain since before any homes were ever there and it's a very clean chain of lakes with alot of good fishing from Bass, bluegill and awesome speckled Perch lake. Also most of the lakes surface is not within the city limits and alot fo people also duck hunt on the chain but make sure you call the game commission to be sure of where you are allowed to shoot before you get into trouble.

Recently participated in a bass tournament on this lake. Although the fishing was tough, the beautiful scenery m, which included luxurious Hines made the trip worth it

Beautiful lake and boat ramp parking can get challenging during busy times.
