My meal at Patois was okay. I started with the Fried Cauliflower which was good and very filling! My meal consisted of the Gnocchi and Five Spice Duck Confit Leg Salad. The Gnocchi was a bit weird to me. I typically love crab but the crab flavor wasn’t good at all. Now the Duck Leg Confit Salad was everything!! Everything about it was perfect! It had an Asian flavor to it and was so fresh and flavorful. I’d definitely return for that dish alone. My table thought that the cocktails were terrible across the board. Patois should taste the drinks and rethink the recipes. Or it’s possible that the bartender was off that night. Either way, we were disappointed. Also worth noting, parking is on the street and I suggest avoiding the restroom. It was clean, but soooo tiny and hard to move around without bumping against things.

One of our favorite date night restaurants! Cozy atmosphere and excellent food. We've never been disappointed by anything we've tried in the 5+ times we've eaten here.

This place is hitting on all cylinders. It had been quite awhile since my last visit, and while I have always held Patois in high regard, I was not prepared for just how excellent it would be in every respect. I had the two specials (appetizer and entree), and each was flawless. Our server was friendly, and the service was efficient but not rushed. A true 5-star experience!

Maybe my expectations were a little too high but I found the food just average. My husband had oysters au gratin and said it tasted very good but there were very little oysters in the dish itself. Apparently it was the first time that dish was on the menu.

We went for a long-overdue dinner with friends we hadn't seen in a while. I ordered the gumbo and scallops, and both were quite good. The gumbo had a particularly dark roux, which is fine with me but may not be for others. Delicious and flavorful. The scallops were also above average. There's not much to a scallop on its own, but this dish was elevated with a corn and black eye pea salad, charred okra and a miso ginger vinaigrette. It's a good option if you're uptown looking for a casual, neighborhood spot.

I was a single party looking for a quaint place with outdoor sitting and Patois fit the bill. The staff was attentive and welcoming. The flavoring for their dishes was excellent and the portions were perfect for me. I will say that I prefer when there is free bread for the table but other than that, enjoyed it and would recommend!!

We tried this restaurant during Coolinary month. It was EXCELLENT. Everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned so well. I would definitely return. Try the potato, crabmeat gnocchi. You'll not regret it. The peach ice cream was fresh and flavored without artificial flavors...like peach infused ice cream. Our waiter was friendly knowledgeable and brought us the most excellent "New Normal" cocktail.

My wife and I had a wonderful brunch here. The service was excellent, servers were attentive but not pushy or hovering. the food was great, well seasoned, executed and hot. Drinks were delicious and well balanced. Will definitely be looking forward to coming back.

Food was good. I made a note with the reservation that it was a birthday and requested a surprise dessert… nothing came. So that was a let down.

Too many great choices. Planning a return trip to taste more dishes. Potato gnocchi is light fluffy and extraordinary. Apple galette a la mode alone is Wort three trip.

If you’re looking for an intimate, yet quintessential New Orleans neighborhood restaurant, this is your place! Food was impeccable and staff was so helpful. We had the Lamb Ribs to start (a must!) and the green heirloom salad. For our main, we got the special, which was duck with dirty rice and roasted carrots. For dessert, we got the chocolate budino. So delicious! Can’t wait to come back again.

The food wasnt super bad, a bit mediocre. There wasnt anything i really loved. the bathrooms had no locks on the doors. I ordered a diet coke which tasted funny so i read the label and it was 8 months expired. i felt really gross after that. the waitstaff were very nice but overall i had a bad experience.

After going again I have to lower my rating. Don't know if it was just an off night. But the food was not as good as it was on my last few visits. The food was dry/off, as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for an extended time. Almost to the point of tasting like I was eating reheated leftovers. The gumbo was extremely dark to the point of being burnt and I believe it's what got me feeling sick that night. For a meal for two that was $175 I would expect better quality.

Patois is excellent. I had a drink which was well balanced and refreshing. We had a vegetarian, pescatarian and omnivore in our group. The egg plant parmesan was one of the best we have had. The cheesy soup was layered, and flavorful. My fish was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato, pecans, and sauce worked perfectly with the fish. My daughter's shrimp dish was also excellent. we sadly didn't leave room for dessert. So we will have to be back soon.

Absolutely wonderful, from the food selection to the service. Outstanding!!! Highly recommend the seasonal gumbo, and short rib rigatoni. It was all delicious!

Great environment and service, but very slow and not exceptional bar. It seemed like there were 2 different chefs for appetizers (excellent!) and main courses (not). The chicken had almost no flavor and the consistency of a shoe. My son-in-law’s steak was “so so” - so strange!! The gnocchi appetizer was delicious as were the deviled eggs and salad. I would not order an entree again there.
