What can I even say, that the food doesn't already! Hands down the best breakfast around!!!! 😋 Second time going and I will be back. The first time we got a more traditional breakfast, it may look simple but the flavor is 💣 . Grits are cooked to perfection, 🥓 on point and the pankackes have an exciting crisp to the edges!!!👌 😍 When we went back I got the Shrimp, bacon and grits bowl 🥣 OML 😲 That was fantastic 👏 👌 🙌 The Shrimp 🍤 were nice and plump. Packed full of flavor! The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly! They gave me some good suggestions for next time as well!! Stop on by, You will NOT be disappointed 💯 😌 I have gone for breakfast twice, lunch here I come!!!

This review is a catch-22. I don't want to share a best-kept secret with the fear that they get too busy to serve me. However, the food and service are so amazing that everyone should have the experience! If you are looking for quick and fast, this is not for you to dine in. Perfect, made-to-order food takes time. If you are in a rush, call in your order for takeout. This small restaurant is a chill vibe. Soft music was in the background and each employee understood their role. Customer attention, clean tables, and delicious food. My chicken and waffles didn't stand a chance! The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Hints of vanilla and cinnamon in every bite. The chicken was seasoned right and piping hot. I didn't have to add anything to it. I could barely wait for it to cool down. Probably burned my fingertips but was too busy licking them to notice. Totally worth it.

Found our go to spot in Sanford. Food and service was great! Everyone is super friendly and the establishment is clean. I had the grilled shrimp salad. The veggies were fresh and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. My husband had the fish and grits. He huffed it down before I could take a picture. He always has something to complain about when we eat out. All he could say was "man, this is good".

I had no idea if there were any Black owned breakfast places in Sanford before today. A little Google search for exactly that pulled up Roni's and I'm so glad I decided to try it. It's a mom and pop joint in the middle of a historic part of Sanford you may never see otherwise. It definitely gives a S. Carolina, country, juke joint vibe. The staff was incredibly busy, but cool people and attentive. And the food is PHENOMENAL!! I was supposed to share the shrimp, bacon, and sausage grits, but as soon after we each took the first bite I told hubby to get his own. I had the Kobe Bryant (RIP), a sweet combined drink and a waffle. The waffle was just ok for me so I'll try the pancakes next time. Bottom line we will be back for breakfast and to try the lunch.

This is THE place to go for Breakfast in Sanford! Delicious Southern Comfort food that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Q and the whole staff make me feel so at home. The cheese grits are my personal favorite, as well as the lemon pepper wings, but honestly everything is good! Great prices, better food! Must visit Roni’s if you want the true Sanford / Goldsboro experience!

I have eaten at this restaurant many times since moving to the Sanford area. The food and service are both consistently great. I’ve had the shrimp, bacon and grits, salmon patties, chicken and waffles, fish and wings. Everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing which is why I continue to come back. The house drinks are all great too! It’s rare that you find great food at affordable prices. This place is a gem!

Ordered delivery through Uber Eats, so I can't rate service or atmosphere. Shrimp & Grits *highly* recommended, you won't be disappointed! French toast breakfast sandwich with sausage patty also delicious, served with syrup for dipping. Wife had 3 meat breakfast plate, which is a great value for the amount of meat you get these days, and was awesome! Jelly was included for our biscuits without asking, can't remember the last time a restaurant did that! All in all, we're very happy to have discovered this gem, will definitely be back! Support local businesses like these, serving up quality and flavors you won't find at the big chains!

Feels like home, everyone is so kind with beautiful smiles. Food is FANTASTIC with actually affordable prices! I will be back very often. Shrimp and grits are amazing, chicken biscuit, and I mean just that biscuit alone is amazing add that honey butter and I just melt. Thank you Roni’s and everyone who works there!

Excellent cooking. We had 2 flavors of the chicken wings and chicken & waffle plate. All cooked to perfection, truly. Our next visit will be breakfast, looking forward to the real homemade grits. Definitely an easy going & welcoming place to get very good food.

What a great little place. Located in Historic Downtown Sanford, this locale (Veteran, Black & Woman owned) provides some amazing vitals. While keeping their menu simple a direct to the live of comfort food, they specialize in Southern Cuisine that expands from Breakfast through Lunch. Always quality service and welcoming staff. I highly recommend this hidden gem !

The shrimp and grits were really good. I ordered chicken and waffles. The waffle was good but not impressive. The chicken however was so good. I don't know how they sealed in the heat like that. I had to eat the first piece slow because it was smoking inside and the 2nd piece was just as hot once I got to it. I would definitely go back for the fried chicken.
