I hesitated to share this less than favorable review but in the end, I feel I must. This was our second visit. The first time 3 years ago we were married at the Bayfront Marin House. Our experience in the beachfront cottage with Marina hosting/managing us was nothing short of amazing. This year we stayed at the Bayfront bed and breakfast to celebrate our Anniversary. It was lackluster to say the least. I requested towels and cleaning but came back to find that it was not done. My husband had to call a second time to request it towels and cleaning was not done in the 3 nights we stayed. The room was quite humid. The air didn't seem to work properly. We missed the Happy hour with the other guests as well as the personalized experience we had the last time we visited. The Bayfront is close to our hearts. It makes me sad that it has changed this much in a few short years.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and it was perfect at the Bayfront Marin! The room was gorgeous and our private balcony overlooking the river provided a cooling breeze, many hours of relaxation and breathtaking sun and moon rises! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! We loved the happy hour selections served on our balcony and they catered to my gluten free lifestyle so courteously for happy hour AND breakfasts. The location was also ideal. Walked to everything in the historic district and rode bikes over to the beach. When back in St Augustine again we will absolutely choose this place AND this exact room!

Had a great experience here last week! Very nice staff, easy check in/check out, really cute room, good food, no noise issues. We really loved the 5pm happy hour as well! Location is also perfect. Short walk to all major attractions. Definitely would stay again!

This was my first B&B stay and it exceeded all my expectations. The room was clean and very well decorated. The jets in the shower are heaven sent. The fireplace is a wonderful touch and I look forward to coming back in the winter to try it out. The location is perfect and in walking distance of almost everything we wanted to do. The view of the bay is beautiful. I enjoyed the breakfast and evening happy hour. The staff was extremely friendly and the free parking made my life easier. This is now my new favorite vacation destination!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Bayfront Marin House! The location was perfect and a short walk to local restaurants and attractions. The complimentary breakfast and happy hours were such a treat and delivered right to our door! It was a perk that we also had complimentary parking, a short walk to the bnb, but they offered curbside loading/unloading zone to easily pack/unpack. We will recommend this to friends/family!

We stayed at the 93 Lookout Suite beach cottage for our honeymoon 6/17/22-6/21/22 and there were definitely some pros and cons. The fact that you have your own private section of the beach was GREAT! We had the top level of the house which granted us access to the rooftop deck, which was nice at night...a little too hot to go up there during the day, as there is no covering. Breakfast was conveniently served every morning at our doorstep upon request. And the staff were extremely friendly and polite. We did have a great time on our trip. The area of improvement needed is the room itself. The pictures on the website must've been taken a long time ago and don't accurately represent the room because it does not look the same anymore, which was definitely a let down. I wanted something a little nicer for our honeymoon, and what we got was a rundown beach cottage that we shared with two other groups of people (the label "beach cottage" is misleading slightly in the sense that I thought we would have the whole place to ourselves). The exterior of the house looked a little junky - there were boxes and trash bins everywhere, and the retaining wall that lined the sidewalk to take you to the beach was falling in, so it created a very narrow space to get to the beach; there was also a board with nails dangerously hanging off the walkway. Inside, everything looked like it was purchased at a yard sale and thrown together. The rug covering the floor was super faded and dingy - definitely needs to be replaced; they conveniently covered a hole in the wall by the closet with a picture rather than fixing it. They provided a small fridge in the closet, which I thought the location was odd; there were 3 tiny trash cans throughout the room which barely held trash enough for two people for 3 days (we had to take our trash out several times during our stay); the plumbing was horrible - nothing drained whether it was water, sand, or toothpaste; they supposedly provide chairs and umbrellas (which is shared amongst everyone in the house), but after making two separate trips hauling the umbrellas to the beach and attempting to set them up only to find out they were broken, we gave up and used our own stuff; lastly, parking is very tight - I had to duck and cover under huge palm trees every time I got out of my car, which was a little annoying. On our first day, we went to the grocery store and upon our return, some construction workers left a trailer with a large roll of cable on it blocking our way into the driveway. My husband had to get out of the car and literally pick it up and move it (it was not light, by the way). Not The Marin House's fault, but still a big inconvenience. If I'm being honest, I am being a little critical because this was a special trip for us, and what I thought we were getting based on the pictures just wasn't the case. For any other beach trip, this room would've been just okay. I just wanted to leave an honest review for anyone who is in my position. Thoughts for improvement: 1. Major updates need to be done: either to the room or the pictures online to give an accurate representation. 2. Move the fridge out of the closet - there's adequate space in the room for that setup. In the closet just seems weird. 3. Provide larger trash cans and update rug/furniture. 4. Fix the plumbing and the hole in the wall. 5. Check on materials provided to ensure everything is in good condition and clean/trim the area outside. Again, I gave a 3 out of 5 star rating based on the room, mostly. I would probably stay here again, but just not in this room.

My wife and I got married here and absolutely loved everything about the wedding package and our stay in general. The ceremony was short and sweet, but still felt so special. Bayfront Marin really took care of us and made it feel as best as possible. Our rooms were great, and we missed being here shortly after leaving. Thank you, Bayfront Marin! We will definitely be back in the future.

My husband and I have stayed with Bayfront Marin House on several occasions and our experience has been stellar each time. We had a very small marriage ceremony at the end of March and knew BMH would be a great choice. Kyla did our catering and she was OUTSTANDING!!! The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Kyla was a dream to work with - she was extremely flexible, communicative, kind and made great recommendations. That’s really saying a lot, considering that she personally shopped and prepared all of our food before serving and cleaning up on-site! We love you Kyla!! 💕

We recently stayed three nights at Bayfront Marin House to begin our honeymoon. We had a great experience overall. The room was nice and very clean. Communicating with the staff was super easy thanks to them texting us via SMS often. We were able to go straight to our room and open the door with a personalized code without the need to check in at the office first which was great. The included breakfast and happy hour meals were always delicious and came right at the requested time. We really enjoyed having a bath tub in our room since that’s something we’ve never experienced as a couple before. Long story short, highly recommended for many reasons. You won’t be disappointed with your stay at the Bayfront Marin House.

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a wonderful location in the heart of the historic district. Great service- we were running late to check in and were going to miss happy hour by a few minutes, so they made us a plate for our room to enjoy! This was our second time here and we will be back.

We had our wedding the the sanchez house 12/15/23 and honestly it's impossible to put into words how incredible it was... our coordinator Suzy who is through the bmh went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. The house was absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend having your wedding here! My day was truly out of a fairytale❤️

My wife and I just had our wedding on the beach with them. Our room the Royal Palm was perfect for our occasion. Susie the wedding coordinator was awesome and made our day a lot less stressful. Everyone we had a interaction with was great. We will visit again. If your looking for a small intimate wedding, I suggest the folks here.

I loved the Bayfront Marin!! The grounds were beautiful, lush and very tropical. It was the perfect spot for a beautiful, intimate wedding. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Breakfast and happy hour was filled with excellent food and drinks. The location was convenient for exploring St Augustine. We can’t wait to return and have more time to do some exploring.

Absolutely perfect location! We stayed in the Lindsey Michelle room this visit and it is gorgeous!!! We also visited a year ago. The hotel has an amazing location and the rooms are clean and spacious. The view from the front is just spectacular!!! The “ snacks” and drinks as well as the breakfast never disappoint! Always delicious! And the white sangria is truly refreshing. My only bad comment would be on the inns TV service- it runs on hotel WiFi and it’s truly not sufficient to watch any show without multiple freezes

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Charlotte Street Hacienda. It was an unforgettable experience. We were there to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. I also purchased the birthday package which included a cake, decorations and a bottle of wine. They coordinated a convenient time with me so that they could decorate while we were at dinner. He was totally surprised when we returned. The accommodations exceeded my expectations. It was the cutest private cottage with all the amenities of the Inn . There was a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The room was very clean. They delivered a hot breakfast to the room each morning which was included. The food was delicious. Happy hour was also very enjoyable. We received exceptional service which made our stay truly memorable. This is a prime location and off street parking made exploring the city a breeze. Everything was in walking distance so we didn’t need to drive around at all. I can’t wait to return to on my next visit. Highly recommended!

It’s hard to begin to describe all of the excellent features of this well situated incredible inn. They made all the guests feel like family. Offered us homemade breakfast, delicious snacks and endurance detail was taken care of. 5 stars to the Inn, their employees and facility. We felt spoiled.

Celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and I couldn't have picked a better place or setting. It seemed to me that the Bayfront Marin House was more than a "bed & breakfast." Breakfast brought to our cottage and daily happy hour, the food was superb! All of the personnel went way above to make our experience the absolute best! We will be going back ... and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to get away and to be treated like royalty!

My wife and I have stayed at the Bayfront Marin House several times since 2018. This past trip was disappointing. The bed we slept in was very uncomfortable so I never had a good night's sleep. The jets in the hot tub did not work and there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The exterior has weathered quite a bit since our first stay and needs some upkeeping. There was little interaction with the staff - Quite the opposite of what it used to be from years prior. Love the location but I'm not sure if we'll be returning in the future.

My husband and I stayed at the Bayfront Marin House for a few days to celebrate our 44th Anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was great…you can walk to shops and restaurants plus you have peaceful views of the Bay across the street. Our room was perfect and tastefully decorated. The service was outstanding and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and happy hour was a treat and the food was so yummy! Thank you for making us feel welcomed…we will definitely stay here again.

We cannot express enough praise for the service. The rooms were comfortable. The concierge service was most helpful. The website most informative. Nicely located in the center of the historic center. Only drawback - the parking was a bit of a walk, but they have a parking space for managing arrival and departure at the Inn's site.

My wife & I have stayed at several historic B&Bs. Really nice ones. But never have we received the level of service like the Marin House. This was our choice to celebrate my retirement and it paid off. The view, the breakfast, the location, the friendly staff is unmatched! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for four nights with our Maltese - great experience! This was our 8th or 9th visit to the St. Augustine historic district in a B&B and our first time at this property. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants, shops and to interesting sites in the historic district. The room was very nice and larger than some other B&Bs where we have stayed in St Augustine. I liked their technology of using texts to inform us of the breakfast and happy hour menus and letting us tell them where we wanted it delivered (our room, the courtyard or the gazebo). I liked the check-in and check-out procedures (go to room upon arrival; no requirement to stop at the office - they had already provided a code that was valid during our stay for the electronic door lock to our room). Virtual checkout by text. There was someone available in the office when we had a question or needed something (ice, coffee before breakfast, etc.).

The service at Bayfront Marlin was exceptional- we felt welcomed and pampered. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, the happy hour was amazing, and the grounds were very well kept, so it was enjoyable to sit in the garden and enjoy the meals. I felt very happy and peaceful! The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the bathtubs and extra blankets. The temperature was easy to control. Thank you very much B.M. staff!

This B&B is so adorable and has a great view of the ocean. They create a unique code so you don't have to keep track of a key, and it's in walking distance of everything in historic St. Augustine. We literally parked our car and walked almost everywhere. Also breakfast was delicious and healthy. They also have a Happy Hour in the garden area every night. We'll definitely be back.

I had a blast staying at the Bayfront Marin House. I stayed for 2 nights at the Burgess Suite and 1 night at the Marie Antoinette Suite. They were both clean and spectacular in their own way. The service at this small B&B was comparable to some of the 5-star hotels I've stayed at all over the world. A gem of a place in a gem of a town! Highly recommend.

Bayfront Marin House is nothing short of perfect! Their location, close enough to walk downtown and far enough for some quiet, their breakfasts and happy hours are delivered to you, and the staff’s overall attentiveness are just part of what makes this place so special. My husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend and it served as the perfect backdrop for some pictures and home base for the weekend. Each room has outside sitting space facing the bay, creating the most beautiful and peaceful relaxation spots. We absolutely plan to stay here every time we visit St. Augustine.

We stayed at a cottage owned by Bayfront Marin and it was lovely. It had three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer. We had the option to receive breakfast at the cottage or walk to the main inn which we did. The hosts and staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. It was a quick walk to the historic district. We would definitely stay here again!
