I'm writing this review to help others who might be looking for a bed and breakfast to stay in St Augustine. I probably would not come back here simply because there are so many options you kinda would expect a place to meet certain expectations. First, and I'm going to put this politely my husband found a "toy" under our bed. I would encourage housekeeping to look under the beds after people check out. Also, I did purchase the breakfast. I've never been to a bed and breakfast before. I told the woman 9 o'clock for breakfast she did say something about room service but when 9 approached and we didn't receive our breakfast we just went downstairs and they were getting the tables down there ready and we were seated by a woman who never asked us our names. Fyi the room service breakfast you can purchase is the same breakfast downstairs, but actually the juice is better downstairs. When they went to bring our food upstairs they realized we were downstairs eating. They blamed the fact they were late with our food (we didn't care) they had us down for 9:15 breakfast and said we could go upstairs to eat now. It was just awkward and no one apologized and no one asked us how our stay was as we left. Just not impressed what can I say. Edited to respond- The room was the segui on June 15th of this year. It was in my husband's name.

The staff went above and beyond to make our mini getaway one to remember. The home is located right in the heart of all that St. Augustine has to offer. We were able to pop in and out without feeling like we had to make a long trek back to the inn. Their breakfast recipes were all amazing. They were kind enough to even share a couple of their recipes with us. The room was adorable, clean and very comfortable. We loved having a balcony and being able to sit and look over the courtyard while sipping on our morning coffee. Even in the hustle and bustle of the busiest week in town (week between Christmas and New Years) the staff made us feel like it was all about us and did everything they could to make it a special get away.

Sadly dated and falling apart at the seams, and not in a charming way. Dark red floral pattered, mystery stained carpets with a moldy smell. The rooms look like a cheap model, not at all as pictured, with tv wires sticking out haphazardly, bathtubs in the middle of the bedrooms, moldy and brown stained ceilings. We had no choice but to stay here ultimately, but I regret I spent my money here. We never saw anyone at the front desk, we were left a letter to check in because we checked in late. We came ten minutes late for breakfast (which is from 8:30-9:30) and the staff was eating the breakfast. When we came in they just stared at us - we were okay with missing breakfast, but even the juice was quickly swept away from us. No problem, again, as we were very disappointed by the breakfast the previous day (2 pieces of rock hard sausage and a croissant French toast…excuse me, I meant to say week old stale Publix croissants fried in egg and bathed in syrup), but the women working (two European women) were so rude the whole time…as someone who is European, who thankfully doesn’t live in Europe anymore, I can spot European “customer service” a mile away. We were checking out around 7am - there was no one at the front desk and one of the rude girls just said “give me the keys, bye”. For 700 for three nights…I just isn’t what you expect. Please don’t waste your money here. I’m sure there are better places around. Attaching the photo of the horror movie worthy bathroom ceiling. I’m just trying to pay it forward by making sure no one gets themselves into the same kind of situation. Only pro: Kathy helped us figure out check in after hours and at one point okayed parking in the loading zone when I called her. Thank you to Kathy.

We live in the Orlando area and come up to St Augustine ever so often . We decided on this Bed & Breakfast in the Historic area because we have always wanted to stay in one and with the summer prices we couldn’t resist . From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out our experience here was fabulous. The staff is very friendly and welcoming . We stayed in the Mary Mitchell Room and loved it . The room was so cute and peaceful . It was one of their 1st floor king rooms. The parking is off site but a very short walk to and from which we did not mind . They even allowed us to park our rented golf cart on site for the 2 days we were there which was nice . We had breakfast on site the first morning and it was a very delicious breakfast and a unique experience. The bed & breakfast is very elegant and charming inside and out . It was also in walking distance to just about everything in the historic area of St. Augustine . A couple of nights we walked to where we had dinner reservations. Overall we were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to have a romantic getaway or just a quick weekend trip away from home . We are looking forward to returning during the holidays like we usually do each year but stay again at the bed and breakfast .

My partner and I stayed for 3 wonderful nights! The staff, despite their experiencing some genuinely difficult personal tribulations during our stay, provided exceptional service and treated us as if we were family. Casa de Solana is well-located, which is great, but we honestly enjoyed the bed and breakfast so much that we preferred spending our mornings having coffee in the sitting room of the Victorian House after breakfast. We can’t thank the staff enough for being tremendously accommodating during our stay and making our experience so memorable. We cannot wait to return!

Look no further ! This is the perfect elopement location. The ceremony was delightful, the professional photographer went above and beyond, and the staff worked so pleasantly to make sure our special day was fantastic. They were by our side the whole time. I felt so cared for during our special day. WE COULD RELAX AND LEAVE IT ALL UP TO THEM. We are so very grateful . Thank you, Mary and Will Gilmore

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They completely stole our money. We spoke to Kathy who said she would help us re-book since we had a death in the family and when we tried to book she completely blew us off. We have tried calling multiple times and when she hears our voices she immediately hangs up! Be careful if you book with them.

What an amazing experience staying here. The location is perfect for the downtown area. We arrived 2 hours early and were able to get in our room, thanks to "Cathy". Parking wasn't an issue being only a few blocks away. The coffee, tea and cookies were delicious. The breakfast was really good and the gentleman that served everyone was very cool. Looking forward to staying here in the future.

This place was the best! Came for our 3 year anniversary and loved everything about the place. The rooms were cute and the wine social and outdoor area were a great way to start our day. Will definitely be back.

My husband I had come to St. Augustine for a honeymoon getaway. If you want a place that is so incredibly relaxing and the ENTIRE staff is top-notch? Look no further! This Bed and Breakfast is a charming and very hospitable place to come to for a vacation. The rooms are beautiful and smell so good! The breakfast changes each morning you're there and is delicious! Something I would recommend to any couple, regardless of the reason for your stay.

The best place to stay for couples looking to get away! The ladies were all so welcoming and made it feel like home. The room we stayed in was the Kirby room and it was clean and inviting. Outside seating was so pretty to relax after a long day of walking and there was a wine happy hour - amazing. Breakfast was devine and filling. The b&b is also located within walking distance of most if not all of historic downtown and it was so quiet. My fiancee and I will absolutely be visiting this b&b again in the future!

Charming B&B, a short walk from the center of town, close to all the action but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Well-appointed rooms with old-world charm. Beautiful courtyard with ample seating. Excellent breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Parking is not on site but just a very short (5 min) walk. My wife and I loved it and look forward to staying again someday.

Enjoyed a romantic weekend celebrating my wife's birthday. All the hosts/staff were good but especially Marcus on our first night (our first time at a b and b) making us feel welcome and Oliver the rest of our time serving breakfast and helping with anything else. Wonderful place, location, and breakfast:) Enjoyed Night of Lights and sightseeing.

Our 5 year anniversary getaway to St. Augustine was fantastic and staying at this bed and breakfast in the heart of the historic district added an extra touch of old world romance! We stayed in the Cielo room. The bed was comfortable and had all the amenities one would need. Our balcony overlooked the beautiful courtyard! We had a wonderful stay!

My only discomfort was parking. But that's what you get when you want to be close to the action. They have a parking lot about two blocks away. We got caught by the rain during that transit to our car. All else was great. The breakfasts were tasty. The place is cozy and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.

First time staying at a BNB. Well, I have to tell you, the Casa De Solana has set the bar pretty high. We stayed at the sister property, Victorian House. The room to the service was impeccable. Sylvia was fantastic and accommodating. Breakfast was hot and made to order. Sylvia came in early so we could have breakfast before our early flight. Thank you Kathy for taking my call while you were on vacation. Jonathan, thank you for your hospitality as well. Thank you all for making our vacation one we will never forget.

Everything was great in the Isabella room Best breakfast I've had at a b&b. The parking was a bit far odd location. We loved it all in all

We have stayed here a few times! Great location and close to everything. Super friendly staff. Parking is a few blocks away but is you are visiting Saint Augustine you are going to do a lot of walking anyway.

I can not rave enough about this gem in the heart of Historic St. Augustine. My Wife and I decided to rent a room here due to its location, yet were stunned when we arrived by the beauty of the house and rooms. We stayed in the Deluxe King suite and were pleased with the rooms features, balcony, and overall comfort. The experience felt private and personal. To compliment a wonderful nights stay, breakfast in the morning could not have been any more out of this world. Served on the first floor, the staff could not have been any more generous in their portions as well as their patience. Jenny took the time to even show us the menu, and allowed us to take the recipe home with us! Anytime I am in St. Augustine I hope to stay once again at the Casa De Solana.

Our stay here at the Casa De Solana was extra special. The employees are wonderful and the breakfasts are insanely good. The location is perfect and we sure hope to get back there soon. The cook was Jenny and the server Christina were so attentive and nice. Cathy checked us in and got us all set up and her sister was also very good at helping with the breakfast the second day, please forgive me for not remembering her name. This is an excellent place to stay and I hope that you get a chance to visit there, I know that we will again as soon as we can.

Johnny at Casa de Solana went above and beyond to help my husband and me when we were having car trouble upon checkout. We are so grateful that he was around to assist us. Beyond that, too, our stay at the inn was really nice and the ladies who run the place are lovely. Thank you to the staff at Casa de Solana! I would definitely return.

About 4 days after I made my reservations I had to cancel and postpone it for a month or two so I read their policy and called them and they refused to give me my cancellation money even though I did it well within the time period. And my reservation was for two months in advance so there is no excuse for this! We were looking forward to going there but now we are not going to go at all!

My boyfriend and I came here for a few days to celebrate my birthday! The ladies who work here are so kind despite a lot of the people we came across during our trip were kind of rude. Don’t know if they’re tourists or just live here and I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem. But other than that we had an amazing time! Sadly we didn’t get up in time for breakfast but we did go to the Starbucks near there. If you go to St. Augustine stay at this hotel!!

Happy folk take care of you meeting all your needs. Breakfast was tasty and nourishing every day. Our room was clean, effecient but very small for two of us. This might not matter to some.

We enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very hospitable. The bed was comfy. We loved our room and very clean. Breakfast was great. Also, we were walking distance to everything to be seen in the historic area. We highly suggest. We look forward to spending time here again.

Stayed here a few weeks back and had an amazing time. Was my first time down in St. Augustine and immediately felt welcomed. I stayed in the Cielo Room which was pretty awesome. The terrace and double whirlpool tub in my room were a great bonus. Everything in town was within walking distance and easy to get to. After having a lovely breakfast in the dining hall, you can just purchase a trolley pass, hop on, and ride all throughout town. The hosts at La Casa De Solana were all very kind and super helpful with suggestions. All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

One of the cutest B&B's we have been to. It is on the smallest street. If you have a pickup truck or large suv don't even try. Call ahead. Love this place! Easy to walk places.

One of our absolute favorites. A amazing house in the middle of the old town of St. Augustine. Great decor and run with a lot of love. Super nice staff. We will be back again.

We just got here today. 30 year anniversary. First impresión? Beautiful. Decorations? Berry impressed for a 250 year old house. Nothing is perfect but personally I am very impressed. The room is private (Cielo room, second floor with balcony. I will post more once we are done with our stay. The place is in the middle of the historic district near to many attractions. Our room was Cielo, second floor. Very nice, Balcony with a nice view of the yard. Kathy the Receptionist was great, always ready and willing to help as well as the ladies that did our breakfast. It is a very quiet place, the prices compared with the other B&B around, are affordable. Coffee and water for tea all day. The atmosphere of the place is as expected of an antique House. Beautiful decoration. In our room we had all that we needed. We live in Bradenton Florida (4 hours away) and i am Telling you, you will not regret it. We are already making plans for the next Anniversary or Vac. Yes, the parking for the Hotel is a few blocks away, walking is good for the body. We park our car and just walk all over the place not a problem. All the people we met in the Inn here were so friendly and down to earth, berry respectfully and polite. Something that the World seems to be missing nowadays. Highly Recommended, but make reservations with time, since the place is booked all year round. We did ours like 6 months ago. Well, to all the employees of Casa De Solana, Thank you much for making our 30/ year anniversary unforgettable, pleasant and priceless. Thank you.

Stayed one night this past weekend and enjoyed it more than any other place we’ve stayed in St. Augustine. By a happy accident we booked the British room and will try to do so anytime we come down. The location is amazing with everything in the historic district being only a 5 minute walk. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the banana bread! I look forward to staying here again! 10/10!

It was our first time visiting this area and we had such a beautiful time. We couldn't be happier with our stay here. Wonderfully clean and beautiful rooms, perfectly relaxing outdoor space and delicious breakfast. What more could you ask for. Such welcoming and kind staff made this one of our favorite get aways. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our time memorable and enjoyable.
