I
took
my
puppy
here
for
his
second
distemper
booster,
as
well
as
looking
at
his
eye
discharge
that
only
comes
out
after
he’s
woken
up
and
he’s
had
since
I
got
him
a
month
prior
to
my
appointment.
Before
they
even
took
him
back,
the
nurse
was
pushing
expensive
tests
and
insurance
on
me.
The
doctor
took
him
back
to
give
him
his
shot
and
look
at
his
eye,
brought
him
back,
and
made
us
wait
at
least
20
minutes
before
we
got
fed
up
and
walked
out
of
the
room
to
pay
for
the
vaccine
and
leave.
That’s
when
we
were
told
he
had
conjunctivitis
and
needed
a
cream
and
antihistamine
to
treat.
When
told
we
just
wanted
to
pay
for
the
vaccine
and
leave,
they
kept
pushing.
If
my
dog
had
conjunctivitis,
his
eyes
would’ve
been
swollen
shut
by
this
point
and
the
discharge
would
have
been
all
of
the
time.
For
the
next
two
days
after
his
appointment,
he
had
severe
side
effects,
including
not
being
able
to
walk
on
his
leg
the
vaccine
had
been
administered
to.
For
his
post
adopt
check
up
and
last
distemper
vaccine,
he
was
taken
back
to
the
clinic
at
the
shelter
he
was
adopted
from.
Prior
to
the
doctor
taking
him
back,
his
eye
was
not
mentioned.
When
the
doctor
came
back
in,
she
did
not
bring
up
his
eye
at
all,
however,
I
did
ask
if
she
noticed
anything.
She
said
it
definitely
was
not
conjunctivitis
and
she
didn’t
notice
anything
wrong,
but
she
took
another
look.
She
ended
up
diagnosing
it
as
eyelid
entropion,
a
condition
he
was
born
with
and
there
is
no
treatment
for
unless
the
condition
is
severe
enough
for
surgery,
which
it
is
not.
So
had
I
believed
the
vet
at
Banfield,
I
would
have
paid
money
for
an
unnecessary
medication
and
eye
test.
Also,
after
the
exact
same
vaccine
given
at
the
shelter,
my
dog
had
only
the
normal,
mild
side
effects
and
was
able
to
walk
just
fine.
I
filed
a
complaint
with
corporate,
which
was
sent
to
local
management.
Karen,
the
woman
I
spoke
to,
was
incredibly
condescending,
and
basically
told
me
her
doctor
was
not
in
the
wrong
and
that
she
“was
sorry
I
felt
like
I
was
being
pushed
to
spend
money.”
Aside
from
basically
telling
me
I
was
wrong,
she
did
absolutely
nothing
aside
from
try
to
justify
her
hospital’s
actions.
Overall,
I
would
not
recommend
Banfield
unless
you
want
to
spend
unnecessary
money
on
misdiagnoses.
