I brought friend of over 30 years for her yearly follow up with Dr. Desai. She started with an echocardiogram & then saw April, NP because Dr. Desai was out of town. The echo tech was friendly, respectful, professional & efficient. April, NP reviewed her echo results, reviewed her history, asked appropriate questions & made sure she understood everything with no questions. The office staff was efficient from beginning to end of her appointment. My husband & I are Dr. Desai’s patient, too so I highly recommend him for cardiac care.

They refused to see me when I was ON TIME for my appointment after already rescheduling my appointment once previously due to their scheduling error. They did not inform me at the time of scheduling that we needed to be there 15 minutes early in case the line in their office is long. It is out of patients control if there is a long line in the office. Absolutely appalled at this policy.

This place is awful. My son is a patient there. He has never met his actual doctor. They e cancelled multiple appointments on us. He's on a life vest and they have never even checked it. I called 2 days ago with a question and nobody has called me back. They said they had no record of him being on a life vest even though he's been there multiple times. I will never take my son back there.

one of the few first world clinics that takes medicaid in tucson. in half a dozen visits, they havent screwed anything up. dr desai and NP rachel are both personable & competent. telling me that no one in the office can help me with the portal is unacceptable. as is complaining about immigrants. if yr tech is not clever enough to read the room before he shares his grumpy racism, he should be removed from a public facing role. if you are too busy to share this with him & other staff, i will gladly return to explain it to him in very colorful spanish

I like Pima Heart but I am very disappointed with these blood monitor charges. First they don't tell you it will cost, second the guy that is pushing that scheme at the office fails to tell you is a.monthly charge and if you break it it will cost you 110 bucks! What a racket I have my own monitor and I could easily send the data myself through the patient portal once a.week. I am sure the doctor is not looking everyday to the sent data. Not all of us are well off retirees. Suggestion, get rid of the tons of young assistance constantly chatting to each other and offer the monitoring system free. If they would like to be efficient they ought to look how effective the French medical system. Is. Cut the pork, stop the bamboozle with this silly and unnecessary schemes and be more efficient with phone systems,.useless assistants and so forth

I don't know what has occurred with this office but it has gone downhill dramatically since I started going there. They are extremely rude, you can never speak to anybody on the phone and have to wait for somebody to call back. I was scheduled a video call and the doctor never joined the meeting. Called to ask why he had not joined the meeting and was told that I don't have a video meeting that it was a phone call and somebody would call me back in 10 minutes. Nobody ever called me back and it took over 2 and 1/2 hours of my time waiting for somebody to call or the doctor to join me. Every time you call back they continually say someone will follow up with you and they're not sure what's happening. Nobody knows what anybody else is doing in that facility. It should not take 12 phone calls to determine why an appointment was missed by their doctor. All of the people on the phone have attitudes, if the phone disconnects they don't call you back and you have to start all over again. This is just the topper from an issue I had a few weeks ago with them as well. I was having heart pain and was told to come into the office, which is 20 minutes away, and they would do an EKG. After arriving, waiting in line for 10 minutes, sitting down and waiting another 10 minutes, was told they couldn't do the EKG and I had to go to the hospital. I have WPW and that means you have to catch it right when it's happening. They wasted an hour of my time because of employees who are not properly trained. When I made a complaint with the office manager, she apologized profusely and said that they needed additional training. This is just the tipping of the iceberg and I will find another doctor. If you are trying to keep your stress level down or attempting to accomplish anything in a timely manner, I would find another doctor.

Went in because I have been having heart palpitations and rapid heart rate and I was alerted by my smart watch to Afib. I at a bare minimum wanted blood tests or anything just to be safe and the Dr just said he didn't think it was anything. Apparently they are psychic and can see inside your body without testing. I think they didn't see dollar signs with me as I told them I didn't have insurance and was paying out of pocket. Garbage practice that doesn't follow the hippocratic oath.

Staff is extremely rude, came in with my elderly client they proceeded to treat her like a child and act in an extremely unhumane way. MA we delt with name was Brian. He was rude, rushed the client, spoke over her, and made decisions on his own. He made comments like "oh my gosh!" definitely the worst doctors office I've been to in tucson. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Thanks again to Dr. DeSai and crew for continuing to work on my behalf. Meds and recommendations on lifestyle changes are showing positive results. This office is always busy but never behind in meeting scheduled appointments. Well organized, well staffed and maintained. Highly recommended.

This place is a scam. I called to set up an appointment and they asked for my insurance to see if it’s covered. They sent a bill to my insurance company and I have never been there.

Pima Heart staff is wonderful to work with for my heart care! Staff is friendly, listen while I’m talking & are very helpful! Dr. Desai is always friendly, caring & listens to what I’m saying! Plus he does it with a smile! He doesn’t seem to believe in doing unnecessary testing. I trust Dr. Desai without hesitation!

Lou Lancero, MD, Pima Heart. Affiliated with TMC. Is the best heart Doctor in the City of Tucson. My deceased husband went to him and his practice for 20 years. He is now my Heart Doctor. I recommend as highly as possible. Many thanks to Dr. Lou Lancero. Louise Sullivan, patient

Doctor spooner was a sweet heart and listened well. The nurse treated me like I wasn’t even there, I felt like a tool for her to work on, received no guidance on what was happening. She was rude asking me to move my shirt to attach wires, riped them off of me and rolled her eyes at me when I was surprised with the brashness of her movements. I have never felt like crying after an interaction with a nurse before.

😠 Check in was smooth and front desk staff nice. That's the only pleasant bit about this review. Sitting in exam room currently. Our appointment time was scheduled for 1.5 hours prior. Can hear staff chatting and laughing. No real service being performed for us. I think staff need to work on turn...

😠 I am sorry to say that my experience with the Pain Institute wasn’t that great. I am not complaining about the outcome of tests which showed that they really couldn’t help me, but the fact that every time I called I couldn’t get a live person. Sometimes I was switched several times until I could act...
