I had no clue about looking after fish. Although my husband initially wanted to go to a big chain store, I thought those people will not have enough time to inform us so I dragged him to Unicorn. Pets & Aquatics. In about half an hour, we get an enjoyable and thorough lesson about fish care and we left the shop happy, confident with our starter tank and two cute fishes. It is amazing how much time the shop owner spent with us and answered our every question. Thanks very much!

Proper old school, independent, family run pet shop. The owner has been in the pet trade since the 80s and his knowledge is second to none. Huge variety of stock including a very good selection of animals, birds and fish - none of which would be for sale were they not in the peak of good health. In the current trend of huge supermarkets run by faceless corporations where profit comes before welfare, its refreshing to find these little gems of tradition.

As a newbie fish owner the advice given by both Steve and Dave over the last week has been invaluable. The fish we have bought are healthy and happy. Will only be coming here for my fish stuff

I can highly recommend this shop. When I decided to get an aquarium I googled local pet shops. Unicorn is local to me, so decided to visit them. So glad that I did. Spent about 40 minutes speaking to Dave who answered all my many questions and guided me through the set up process. I have been back every week since and spoken to Steve or Dave usually with more questions and now 7 weeks on have a beautiful aquarium. Thanks to you both.

Very good services and knowledge sharing I wanted some information about my tropical tank as so fish are going missing overnight and he helped me locate the problem, They have a wide range of animals and we have brought a few times from the now and will be buying some fish once he has some a bit bigger ad the new stock he has are babies.

Moved to dagenham 2 years ago, this has been my go too pet store ever since. The two guys who work there always welcome you with a smile, a friendly chat and make a point to remember who you are. They've helped me from advice to creating myself a mini farm! Iv had a few pets from here, including birds, degus and fish. All of which have been amazing. The range of raw natural treats for my dogs too is amazing. They even trimmed my bearded dragons claws Couldn't ask for better service

First time coming to the pet shop today and the place was lovely and clean. The guy was very welcoming and helped with everything I needed. Will definitely be coming back all the time. I got a splendid parakeet cage and everything needed 😌 thank you so much

I have been coming here for years. Always an excellent service. Quality products that are fairly priced. The animals are sold by very knowledgeable shop owners who care very much about the well-being of animals and want everyone to succeed as pet owners.

I started visiting this shop about 10 years ago when I got my first tank. The owner is superb and very knowledgeable. Always happy to have a chat and share his knowledge. Even now when I can't go as often as before, the owner is always available to help. Also very banterous which is fun!

Fantastic service, advice and knowledgeable owners. Went in as a beginner fish owner and now have birds and hamster thanks to the great advice both while buying and after. Started with a small cold water tank and now have large cold water tank, small tropical, 3 budgies, a hamster and a parakeet! Since first going in to get a couple of fish I've come away with new pets almost every time we've visited. Can't praise Steve and Dave enough I just wish I didn't spend so much money!!

The guys in this shop are very down to earth and will take the time to show you how to take care of the pets you buy the guy even showed me how to do a water change on a fish tank gave me some really good advice too

Very knowledgeable about aquarium fish and plants , the friendly cashier also kept me updated on when plants would arrive and recommend me 2 hardy tropical dieffenbachias for £5 . Plants were healthy and are acclimating great 👍
