I called on Thursday 15th to report my green bin not emptied and was met on the first call by a totally disinterested lady who was not interested at all and was advised that it would be collected later. Called and spoke to a really nice lady called Nicola who firstly told me I should not have been told to call back the same day and she would check next morning, as promised she did call me and advised my bin will be collected in 2 working days. Day 3 now ended and strangely wheelie bin is still full.

My brown bin is never emptied on the day it is supposed to. First it was emptied 2 days later after I submitted my report online, then I found I had to ring as well, it got emptied later and later, until it was 10 days late. Then Biffa employees ticked it as having been done when it hadn't, and now they posted a message saying the container wasn't there when the bin had been at its usual place all along. I kept on being told somebody would ring me to tell me what the problem is, but nobody ever rung back. I made a formal complaint, I was told it would take 10 days to process, and at the end of the 10 days, still nothing has happened. I am not quite sure what to do next.

Spoke to a lady in the council tax department who was very helpful and sorted out an issue with a property having been vacated and the next bill needing to be sent to an updated address. Reading the rather grotty reviews I wonder whether as often as not SBC employees have to put up with unacceptable rudeness from residents. Rubbish bins not being collected is indeed a council issue but so many things are outsourced nowadays that one can hardly blame the SBC employee (s) for the failure of sub-contractors (Biffa or whoever). If it is a council failing then obviously action needs to be taken, but there's a chain of command and moaning at the poor person who's job is to answer the phone is not really fair. Maybe people should be mindful of their manners, I always find that my politeness is reciprocated by the person at the other end of the phone even if I need to complain. Treat others as you'd want them to treat you.

Moving into the area and needed to set up council tax. The lady I spoke to was excellent, set everything up in a few minutes and helped with the discount for disabled adaptations. Just what it should be.

Once again website not functioning properly. Tried to access Energy form application and doesnt work. Have tried to use online many times and usually end up having to phone in. Wonder if this review will appear!

Swale borough council are 100% the bain of my life the minute you get back on your feet here they are making sure they got something else to make you pay for... What a shambles if there were 0 stars sbc would not deserve that

Absolutely disappointed with the people they hire to patrol the streets and fine people. Was fined for dropping a cigarette bud which was fine because I did and I paid the fine. Problem is the 2 policemen who fined me and their attitude. They didn't even fine me when it happened, they actually followed me around town for a good few minutes thinking I was stupid enough not to notice. Even waited with me on a traffic light to cross the street making conversation with each other laughing. If these are the people enforcing the law around then that's a joke.

They employ henchmen that patrol the streets making up imaginary crimes trying to get your personal information while refusing to identify themselves to you because 'They don't have to' according to them. They stalk you home or get in your path to try to prevent you from getting home, they get in your personal space and harass, and physically assault vulnerable people. They literally act like a school bully trying to follow you home after school. Since when has it become okay for someone to do this to another human being? So I'm going to video record them every time I see them now and upload to social media to expose these bullies. Other than that there is litter all outside my home and up the street, there is fly-tipping on street corners, in bushes and in the country park. There are not enough bins and the bins that do exist are overflowing and rarely emptied. When will my road get a deep clean hmm?

Swale council have definitely been trying to turn them selfs around . Have had a couple of issues that they have try to sort out and get things done. They have also started to invest in the local area which has long been over due . The streets are still looking dirty and and need better contractors with street cleaning but things are looking better.

What's the crack with the beach huts? You NEVER see anybody using them...have they been sold? Who to? Seems a complete waste to me. Can someone enlighten?
