I couldn't be happier with my rings, thank you so much. I had my wedding band and separate sapphire ring made out of my Grandmother's very dated boodles diamond and sapphire cluster ring which I never used to wear. I never wore my wedding ring, engagement and eternity ring together and also they were yellow gold when I prefer wear white now. For a couple of years I had wondered how to combine them as I wanted to keep my blessed wedding ring within the design, along with the sentimental value attached to the other rings too. As soon as we met with Robert he had ideas to suggest - he is so experienced. he can see how the actual end product will look and listens very carefully to what you had in your own thoughts too. The shop feels special with amazing bespoke, one of a kind items of jewellery that Robert has designed and made. He took the yellow gold from the rings to make a middle ring which he set with the large diamond from my engagement ring with the eternity ring stones down either side and then encased that with a white gold ring either side of that one. I went back for one fitting appointment and then back to collect the completed ring. It was very emotional for me, it was presented beautifully for me to unwrap when I arrived and it was simply stunning. Robert obviously takes enormous pride in what he does, is so skilled and I felt he really enjoys providing that very special moment for his clients. He showed genuine pleasure in witnessing how happy I was. I cannot recommend Robert Bicknell highly enough and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We wanted a quality personalised eternity ring to celebrate our 20th anniversary. High street outlets were all very samey and the staff lacking knowledge. Robert made three rings for me. Two gold rings from old gold I had and a silver Mexican Skull ring designed by him. All are stunning rings. He designed a snake ring in 9ct gold made from old previous family rings that absolutely blew me away and far exceeded my expectations. He redesigned my wife’s wedding ring in 18ct gold, resized and better than the original made from gold from her old ring and her father’s ring. I went to Robert Bicknell because I wasn't totally happy with my engagement ring band and, after having some alterations made by the original jeweller which still didn't really address my concerns, wanted to work with someone else on making some more substantial changes. Robert took the time to listen and gave me options with different costs associated with them. I felt fully equipped with the information I needed to make the decision best for my expectations and my budget. After a couple of weeks, I was invited back in to check that I was happy with the work and shortly after that the ring was ready for collection. I was so happy to see the final product and am so glad I made the decision to get my ring remodelled. My fiance and I will be returning to get our wedding bands.

I visited Robert to re-string some antique mosaic glass beads which belonged to my grandmother. Robert also added a silver chain to the beads to make them the correct length. Robert explained that he didn’t usually do this type of work but gave me great advice and choice of chain/clasp. I haven’t worn the beads for many years and now look forward to wearing them again. Excellent and friendly service from Robert Bicknell. My engagement ring was repaired and reset and now looks better than it did originally! Knowing the repairs were done personally onsite and being able to discuss the repairs and new setting in person really helped reassure me. Thank you for a doing such a wonderful job.

It is a really lovely experience to go into the shop and the jewellery he made for me is stunning. It was from gold pieces I had left to me, that I no longer wear, so he created two beautiful bracelets for my daughters. So we are now able to remember them and wear them as well. The jewellery on display was also stunning . I could spend hours in there if my husband would let me !!

Rob is the best! He made my wife's engagement and our wedding rings which she designed and he improved on. We now live on the Isle of Wight and came back over so that Rob could make her an eternity ring. It was a exactly what she wanted. Rob is a true craftsman and the service is excellent. We really can't recommend them enough.
