I was a patient at Alan Cummings Day Surgery Unit yesterday 08/02/2022 and my care was outstanding from the moment I entered to the minute I left after my operation. The nurse looking after me really stood out to me. Her name is Faye Parker. I made sure to check her surname before I left because I honestly could not have had anyone better looking after me. She was just wonderful. She was like I had my friend looking after me. She was so gentle, considerate and nothing was too much. She really did care and she listened to me! Before I went down for surgery I asked if she would make sure i had my glasses put back on when I came around as I have bad eyesight. One thing I remember when I came round was Faye making sure I had my glasses to see! People moan about the NHS but every single nurse yesterday was just brilliant and so lovely, making me laugh and put me at ease! The anaesthetist was so funny he really made me feel calm when my nerves kicked in! I couldn't have asked for more! My surgeon Dr Jonas Osher... what a wonderful man! He was so kind, gentle and informative! He really listened and explained things! I felt so safe. I'm recovering after my operation so well and I believe it's because I had such great care and after care from the surgeon, to the anaesthetist, to the hardworking nurses! Thank you all! I couldn't have asked for better care.

Had surgery on eye 2 weeks ago second time there. The care was outstanding from the minute I arrived until I went home. Thank you to my surgeon and his team and to the wonderful nurses that looked after me. You all deserve medals for what you do you are all so dedicated 💛❤️

I had my gallbladder removed here yesterday. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from the moment I walked through the door in the morning until I left in the evening. The staff were friendly, happy and caring from start to finish, even at the end of their long 12 hour shift. They made the experience a very happy one. I also made 2 new friends with the ladies on either side of me! 😊 Well done team, and thank you so much! You have confirmed my love of the NHS 👏🏻👏🏻🥰

Amazing service & care as always. So saddening to hear another patient complaining loudly about how long she has been sitting in the waiting room. I for one am truly thankful we have a wonderful NHS Service & appreciate waiting cannot always be helped. Keep smiling, you are all amazing!

I had my surgery on Wednesday All the surgeon 👩‍⚕️ and nurses were outstanding, they treat all the patients like VIP , I can’t thank you all enough God bless you all , much appreciated Real heroes

There is ongoing building work outside here so it is difficult to find the entrance. Instead of using the usual entrance near the slipway from sainsburys car park there is one in the main hospital car park. Ignore the sign telling you to enter via the hospital itself as it hasn't been taken down yet. If you are coming to support or collect a patient be aware that you won't be allowed to wait, even as in my case when there was a completely empty waiting room with 40 chairs.

While it’s never fun to be in hospital, my 5 yo went for a routine procedure and we were well looked after, explained everything that would be happening, the nurses were brilliant. It really was excellent care.
