We visited the new pool for the first time today. On arrival there were no signs for parking. We found somewhere to park and mentioned this to reception where the girl on reception said there were signs to which we said that’s strange as we didn’t see any and drove around a fair bit, she replied again with well there are signs with a sarcastic laugh. When we left there were no signs for parking as we thought! In the pool, nice and clean in the pool but toilets were dusty with hair on back of seats at the 9am session, made me think it hadn’t been cleaned at all. Hot pipes also on show unprotected in the toilets outside of pool area. The changing rooms were the coldest I have ever experienced, when we got out the pool with our children they were blue and shivering while we tried to dry them as quick as we could. This would put me off returning given just how cold it was. The lifeguards were very strange looking at the families having fun with funny looks and pulling faces…very strange and made us feel self conscious about enjoying our swim.

Pretty much a waste of time. The swimming pool is far too small for the entire community, so in place they have decided to implement a booking system to complicate things even more. I recently turned up at the pool when it was open for public swimming and was told it had been booked out by a private party. In general the pool is OK, but a definite downgrade to the previous pool.

Main pool was colder than usual today Still a great facility though. Will greatly miss the challenge a 33m length presents. Why has the replacement pool in the brand new leisure centre been reduced to 25m? The land could easily fit a 50m multiuse pool - with Diving Boards and Flumes.

EDIT* - We attended today 3 Sept for Tag Active and a swim.. we were impressed with the idea behind Tag Active and it is a physically demanding game. BUT. At least 10 of the Tag lights do not work. They either have error, a clock face or simply do not react when you are tagging the light. Spoke to the girl on the desk who said she knew of some but not all of them. Swim was usual, it still needs a good clean! Hair and dirt all up the changing room doors, floor etc. June 22 - Does what it says on the tin. Regularly attend spin classes. Week on week the lights dont work. Constantly have bikes that are broken. Air con is intermittent. New flooring recently put in even though it's only 4 months old. Pool is "adequate" for 25m swimming. Changing rooms / toilets aren't the cleanest. Baring in mind it's only 4 months old. Could do with a team of cleaners. That she only there to clean!

We made our first visit to the new White Oaks Leisure centre today for 13.00 Public Swim on Saturday. The first hurdle was booking online. The website has a shocking booking system. It’s almost as if the web developers just stopped putting on filters to make the booking process simple. To book a public swim you have to go through each swim category on each day before you get to what you want. It’s terrible! When we arrived from the outside it all looked very shiny and new. Lovely building. The old leisure centre is still there so it’s still work in process. The parking is shocking and very limited. We parked around the corner and walked back. Many people had parked outside on double yellow lines. When we arrived the queue was all the way outside so pre booking seemed rather pointless. The reception area is tiny and was very crowded. The design layout is also terrible as the food area is right next to the main entrance and the soft play. You have to way past all that before you get to the pool. The changing area is big and new. There were plenty of lockers. Unfortunately everyone is walking around in there outdoor shoes so it will get very dirty on a wet day. There are two pools and the area was warm and light. Main pool is much smaller than the old pool. For the public swim 3/4 of the pool was still marked for lane swimming which was annoyingly for two twelve year olds but also because they have so many dedicated separate lane swimming sessions. The teaching pool was busy and boys liked the floats. Even for the family swim session the lanes weren’t removed by the lifeguards. Overall it was ok but poor design layout and could have been so much better use of the space.

Bag was stolen from the women’s changing room end of March. They leave the disabled and pushchair gate open all the time and the manager wasn’t helpful or sympathetic to my situation, but rather deflected to the claims I was making. A member of staff had said “this keeps happening” when I reported it immediately and when I told the manager this, all he said (paraphrasing) “you’re the second one this week so it doesn’t keep happening” like that was supposed to help me? I enjoyed this centre up until this experience, the lady at the reception who was wearing black was the nicest person there and the most helpful, she was very sympathetic to the situation. However, the gates are left open all the time which means anyone has access to the women’s changing room, my padlock was picked as I later found marks on it. I understand they can’t take responsibility for it, it was more the ‘help’ I got after. It was extremely stressful and I had to chase the manager up regarding the situation, but since there’s no cameras directed towards the door of the changing room, nothing could be done. I wouldn’t recommend, your belongings even with a padlock can still be stolen and they wont be helpful.

The company that runs it is terrible! I've had multiple payments come out of my bank, late fees for classes I attempted and failed to book. Staff are trying their best but seems everything is run through head office which are impossible to get hold of and you never get a call back. We've given up which is a shame because the facilities are great.

Man bitterly dissapointed, I have great memories of this place as a kid as I learned to swim here and used to come with friends after school almost every day going down the flumes and then eating potato smiley faces and burgers in the cafe (imagine that now) However it's just so soulless and utilitarian now, no character, the flumes are gone, the pool is smaller and the whole place looks sterile although I'm sure it looks good in selfies for the gram or whatever. For shame.

It's a fairly new place. Lots of car parking spaces for free with disabled parking and electric car parking. Rooms can be booked for private events, and you can host parties for kids there. There's food and drinks as well that can be bought on site. Tag Active is a popular feature. They've also got swimming pools. They're pretty busy on bank holidays, so prepare for a queue at the entrance.

What a great place, the gym is well stocked and kept clean. The staff are friendly and helpfull and knowledgeable. This place has helped me fall in love with fitness all over again. Keep up the good work 👏 I'm there almost everyday and can't wait for tonight's session 😀

The new soft play and laser tag game thingy is awesome!! Plenty of rabies and a great dejection of food and drink. I had to mark it down a star for the lack of fun in the pool though. White Oak was always famed for the flumes and the loss of those is tragic.

Went today with my family and found the facilities very clean and tidy. We went swimming at 9am and it was very quiet and ideal for our daughters first time swimming. Soft play is also a great size and fun for kids

Only visited the soft play and coffee shop with my grandson. He has been there a few tumes and really enjoys it .It's free for uner 2's, which is a bonus as others in the area charge for similar facilities. Only negative things are the reception desk young man seemed overrun with phone calls and people queuing for swimming etc. And as there are no staff in the young children's area if someone has 'an accident' like young children often do, there is nobody to sort it out .
