A few miles from the main site it is a nice place, cafe is OK and specialises in out door furnature, BBQs and lifestyle things, rather than plants. I prefer the main site and cafe, I think thst is the best garden centre in the area, by far... But this one is goid...

Garden centre with a zoo and a cafe inside. Some alpacas in the zoo area. Ample parking space. Toilet is available. Great quality of gardening tools, plants, garden decorators, etc

This part of Coolings has been completely revamped with an emphasis on furniture (garden) , barbecues, mirrors, etc. The cafe is now accessible from outdoors at the rear. Very nice it is too. The nature walk is going strong with an emphasis on bird life, owls and raptors in particular.

Comprehensive garden and lifestyle centre with a pleasant cafe. The tables probably need clearing a bit more frequently, though, as I witnessed customers moving dirty crockery. The till staff were helpful and friendly.

Haven't visited for ages but I was very impressed, love the whole set up. Restaurant is great, much bigger and food was good. Staff very friendly, we needed some advice and the lady went out of her way to help us. Plenty to see and do, we will be back to visit the birds of prey and the nature trail. Loads of parking.

Took my 4 year old and her 9 year old cousin to Coolings Enchanted Christmas Grotto, they had a wonderful time. Lots of thought went into the experience so that the kids stayed excited and had set activities along the way, as they made their way to meet Santa. Staff got the kids really engaged and we went through as a small group. Definitely worth it, smiles all round and we also got a ticket for bird of prey center included - looking forward to taking them to see this

We took our children and grandchildren to the "Enchanted Grotto" at Coolings Lifestyle to meet Santa. The little ones loved it and were spellbound throughout. Details like the "hunt for aliens" during the trip in a spaceship and "preparing food for the reindeer" were a clever distraction from the inevitable wait for the audience with Santa! The elves were friendly and enthusiastic and Santa was jolly and full of warmth and humour. Well done!

My 4 yr old enjoyed the journey and doing the mission to see Santa; spotting all the bits while doing the other activities. Photo at start if you want it as well as one with Santa. You also get to make up reindeer food to put out. Santa is engaging for both young and old. So don't be afraid to offer Santa a choice of beverage different from milk and cookies. 😄 The choice of gift at the end is from a variety of different things some are arty type to plush and plastic toys. Then you get to walk round the rest of the wildlife enclosures to see what animals are out and about. Would happily book again for next year.

One word Brilliant. I brought our 11 year old Son who’s autistic and he loved it it’s the first place in years that’s actually properly interacted with my son he was so excited too and they made his evening. Santa was brilliant and actually took his time with my son. Highly recommend and would definitely come again. Thank you to all your staff so friendly and entertaining thank you all.

Amazing experience. Lovely access to the animals and woodland walk. The grotto was lovely. Was space themed which was different. I was particularly impressed that it wasn't rushed. Had plenty of time in the play activity bit and plenty of time to make reindeer food. Santa very friendly. Also really liked that children could choose their toy and there was a really good selection of toys for each age group. Overall had a really great experience. Would highly recommend and would definitely like to return next year.

This a a great place to take the kids out for half day. They loved watching the animal shows. And it is not too big, which makes it doable for smaller kids too.

This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We first of all told our son’s we were going for dinner so it was a nice surprise for them. The lights were lovely. The space theme was fun and entertaining and very unique. It was really nice to make the reindeer food after as well. Meeting Santa was great. He looked great and very friendly and chatty. Both son’s were pleased to be on the nice list and especially pleased with picking their gift from the toy shop. Would certainly come back again

Great location for children to stretch their legs and discover farm animals. Recommend using a sturdy pushchair for babies or have your carrier as the walk can be long. Depends on the time you can be allowed to help feed the animals. Afterwards there is a great food court to relax and have a quick bit or carry on shopping in the garden centre.

Visit here midweek very often for coffee and yummy cake. There is a children's nature walk with birds of prey, lots of shopping, and good size (not overwhelmingly big).Oh, they also sell plants and gardening things, of course.

Not bad - small and expensive compared to Ruxley and Pole hill. Nice to pop to occasionally staff customer service is questionable at the site with animals.

Lovely place for lunch, we had the soup and a sandwich. The nature trail was great fun for my 4 year old. Take 20p to feed the animals they are food slot machines. Staff are very friendly.
