This pub was recommended to me by a Masterchef contestant and Beverly was right! Its a lovely place really friendly and helpful staff, plenty of room and nice clean toilets ! The food was excellent with good portions - perfect for a family lunch- the beer was superb as well - thoroughly enjoyed lunch today and will be back again soon

I went here on Friday for work... This pub has got possibly the best beer garden I've seen on a pub... With outdoor barbecue shack and outdoor bar for the hot weather. This garden is huge with a large children's play area and lots of hut type seating areas and tables for around 300 people... Would be great in the hot weather for a big family get together or wedding reception venue. Inside the bar it was bright, clean and very welcoming. I was met by Andy but for some reason I kept calling him Chris 😂 (sorry Andy, I got it right towards the end of the visit) Andy was very accommodating and a great host. Photos show how clean and bright the venue was even the gents loo was spotlessly clean !! The car park is huge, you need to put your registration in as it's fitted with anpr cameras... But that's not a big issue. All in all this place is well presented, clean and well situated and great for children.

My favorite place to eat in London already. They have vegetarian and vegan options.... Delicious ones! And non-veg too of course. The place is gorgeous. Just look at the bathroom, for heaven's sake:). The service was so nice and welcoming. And my company was wonderful as well 😊

A really big THANK YOU to the staff at the Rose & Crown for all of the help today with my daughters 30th birthday celebrations. I hired a Tiki hut and came early to decorate it and the staff were really friendly and helpful especially Tom who had to deal with all of our food orders. Excellent service from everyone in the pub who looked after our group so well. Highly recommend the Rose & Crown for a special celebration 🎉 😁🎂✨️

Went there last night and what a lovely time it was. The food was scummy and the staff very cheerful and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed outside for a few hours with our dog in their massive table Service garden which hasittle wigwam shelters and huts as well as lots and lots of well spaced out tables. Inside was warm and cosy in the evening. We'll worth the visit.

Lovely family pub, beautiful interior and friendly staff Had the Sunday roast - looked spectacular! Everything was perfect just the gravy lacked depth in flavour The veg in the side had loads of flavour and was delicious!

So, I was hungry and eager to get out of Croydon and onto the M25 to head to back to Merseyside. Thought I'd have a bite at TGI Friday, Orpington but it was closed. Disappointed, I head on and found the Rose & Crown. Thought 'it'll do'. Got in. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff. Good menu selection. Had thecsteak sandwiche. Fantastic. Tasty. With a side order of chunky chips. Washed down with a strong Americano (milk on the side). Just the job. Quick chat with staff the bish, bash, bosh - back on the road again! Highly recommend this gaff. It'll more than do!

We turned up without a booking as we got the pub mistaken with another neighbouring pub. The staff were so helpful and found us a table for 5 people with suitable wheelchair access which we required. We ordered the beef Sunday Roast the portion size were very generous. The beef was very tender and the selection of seasonal vegetables were great, the gravy was tasty. The waitress regularly checked on us for drinks etc and we found all the staff so friendly and welcoming. We ordered the sticking toffee pudding and chocolate brownie for dessert and both of them were throughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this pub for dinner. As someone that eats out regularly I was very impressed with the overall experience.

Had lunch today while working in the area. What impressed me indeed was the smell of the place- very pleasant, homely looking too. Had a few fireplaces there. Dog friendly. First impressions are great, food was delicious and service was excellent, friendly and polite. Decent vegetarian options. Had hummus and bread for starters and mac and cheese for main. Meat eaters had burgers- all was 👍 👌 Will be back for more for sure Got back for more wine and food and it was superb. Had mac and cheese again, nachos and burger. You need to enter your car reg for the parking, so you don't get fine. Ordered at the bar and food and some drinks were served to us at the table. Will be back again next in the area again

Had our Xmas party here from work. Beautiful pub, service and food quality. Only downfall was the price of soft drinks £3.55 for a bottle of coke zero. Will be going back.

Had a nice meal, food was really nice and arrived quite quick an hot. Only slight criticism is that we weren't told that our starter and main meals would be deliver together. Sat outside as weather was sunny, lovely garden space with plenty of tables, some picnic benches and others table and chair's, so plenty of choice. Staff attentive and pleasant, inside and out.

Beautiful pub nicely laid out. Attentive staff and very kind and polite. Food was beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. I had the burger was cooked just right and slightly customisable and partner had the fish and chips both very tasty. We had a tikki hut out in the garden very lovely and comfy beautifully lit and the garden well maintained could see that money had been put in the place to make it nice as it can be didn’t see much of the inside of the pub but what we did see look lovely and well kept. Would deffo come back and recommend to any one

The staff are lovely, the beer garden has loads of space and tables even on a busy day. Best of all is the vegetarian options. I had vegan fish and chips which was delicious 😋

We had our son’s 1st birthday there. What a lovely pub, the staff was so accommodating and helpful. The food was super delicious. All our family and friends loved it. We will definitely be going back. It’s a thumbs up from us, keep up the good work. Brilliant atmosphere and amazing staff!!!

Food was very average for the price we paid. Meat patties were hard and buns were cold. Good thing the chips were warm. But 3 burgers and 3 pints cost us £68. That's a bit of a stretch. The service however, was spotless!! Sadly i dont think i will be coning back though as I've been to pubs where at least i am willing to pay such price as the food is worth it.

Family friendly with a lovely atmosphere. Dropped in as a family of 4 on a Sunday evening and was warmly welcomed even though they were fairly busy. The food was good and the service really great. They have some planned events heading into Christmas so worth a look. It’s also dog friendly so you can get your pooch to tag along while you indulge.

They provide car parking without time limited and plenty enough space. The signature burger, their source is unique, a bit sweet! I need to mention the steak pie, the steak is juicy and soft, it should be the best steak pie I have had ever! For drinks, I try the Aspall cider, it is matching with burger with fries, specially it was 26℃ that day. Aspall taste sour and sweet and not heavy fruity, good choice in hot weather!

Cameron was an absolute angel, we bought our dog and before we even ordered our drinks he’d offered a bowl of water for the dog! Amazing service, great food and Cameron was super friendly!!!

Great vegan food options! We came in today, New Year’s Day, for the first time and we’re pleasantly surprised - the space was cosy and welcoming, the staff were super helpful and the food was great! The banana blossom fish and chips were SO good! We’ll definitely be back.
