👍 Very nice restaurant, the food is so good and will definitely be returning. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because they offered us shots of lemoncello and then charged us £24 for the 4 of them. Our own mistake as he never said they were free but worded it in a way we felt like they were. Still... People often mention restaurant, service, great, waiter, nice, owner, booked, excellent, good, asked,

The waiter told us to provide a bad review for the restaurant. He claimed to be the owner and knew nothing about providing food for children with disabilities. The restaurant was completely empty and lacked staff with this waiter claiming he owned the restaurant and clearly did not and did not care about the restaurant either. One more staff was present who could not speak any English and he was being sent in and out of the restaurant throughout during rain, some rain water came in through that staff shoes and my daughter slipped as a result of the rain water. It was very heavy rain. The waiter began telling me we can’t accommodate for children like yours I asked to speak to his manager or to the owner has ever said he was the owner. I did not believe him even for one second but he began trying to show me and behaving like he owned the place he said he needed to check terms and conditions to see if they could provide defrosting slightly cutting thinner chips for my autistic toddler and plain rice he said they couldn’t he asked me to leave and never come back. He then said my child isn’t allowed to sound excited he didn’t charge me for milk and rice as my daughter would not eat the rice it was soggy and mushy with orange bits in the point was my daughter needed white rice only. He then scooped out the orange bits and asked my child to eat it and had no understanding or sensitivity towards autistic customers. A bad experience. He then said he wouldn’t charge for a toddler portion of rice or milk and he won’t provide any chips and then said just don’t come here again and you can write it up on the review. Previously going to the restaurant the waiter did everything we needed this time the waiter who called himself the owner was really ridiculous.

Booked a table for 7 the very last minute on Saturday 2 weeks ago. Nice atmosphere, had life music. Service was quite slow and not very attentive, but restorant was full and we did not mind as we were there to enjoy our company and same good red wine. Food was good, even fussy eater was accommodated. May return again on less busy time, like for lunch.

Do not be fooled with their offer of 50% dine in to help out which runs from Monday till Thursday. It is only on main dishes so starters drinks and dessert not included and it’s only 10 pound off per a person very misleading. And have lost a regular customer.

My husband and I booked a table for dinner. On arriving we were seated on a table for 4, without being asked had we booked or not. We had our starters and main course which were extremely nice and then we waited for 20min to be offered a dessert menu which they didn’t offer, so we had to ask for it. The dessert I ordered (kunefe) from the menu says it takes 10-15min to be prepared. However the waiter told us it will take about 20-25 min which we were fine with. The dessert my husband wanted (baklava) they didn’t have, so he chose a different one. 20min after we placed our order we were asked to move and sit outside as they needed the table (as we had a window seat and saw that they had turned away a party of 4 who hadn’t booked). We were offered to move to a table outside but refused to sit on the noisy and dusty environment outside and eating there. Asked to cancel our order and have the bill, which was brought really quickly along with the desert, which we already canceled. If you cannot manage your tables than don’t allow people who haven’t booked (we saw a number of those come in while we ate) and try to get rid of the ones who have booked. Shame as previously ate there and had a fantastic experience which is why we booked again.

Excellent food, nice ambience and good service - if a bit slow as the restaurant became busier. Sadly, sharp practice on billing left a bad taste. The amount involved was small but the owner and manager let themselves down. When challenged, the young waiter doubled down and became quite confrontational. An otherwise good experience spoiled. I doubt we will return - which is a shame.

When the waiter took the order from the three of us, he didn’t write it down, he wanted to show that he was a professional and would remember everything. The order was brought incorrectly,he returned 4 times to ask again. We waited a very long time about 45min ,no people in restaurant, only us and another table with old couple. Also price was very highfor portions so small. Next door is Bank, also a turkish restaurant, that’s where the service are at the highest level! We won't come back. I don't recommend it. 👎

We went on a Sunday, bit quieter in there. Table of 8, excellent service, food was delicious. Also nice cocktails. Our lot are very fussy, but everyone enjoyed their food and the restaurant overall.

Superb all round. Must visit! The chicken shish is exquisite and probably the best I've had which is quite a statement! Complimentary chilli sauce and garlic mayo compliment the food wonderfully and overall excellent service with a smile. Kofta is also premium grade but not tried much of the other things on the menu. The restaurant is very popular so book in advance! Parking available outside. Although a little out of our way, this is now a regular spot for us!

We've been twice in the last couple of months for lunch celebrating family birthdays which have been fantastic, the food is excellent. My family background is of Egyption/ Greek/ Italian/Maltese food cooked by my grandparents, my mother and myself with so many different flavours from each country so you kinda of know what the food expectations should be, I truly recommend The Istanbul Grill the food is very authentic with a lovely welcome from all the Staff.

Superb Turkish food, we had vine leaves, falafel, cacik, which came with bread and some dips for starters, and just wow. Best Turkish food I've had in the UK, really bold and clean flavours, everything tasted fresh. I tried to order the babaganoush (at lunchtime) and I was appreciate informed it wasn't made yet (so yes, they are making stuff fresh on site). We had vegetable moussaka and vegetable casserole for mains. They were also excellent, the casserole was tasty, very healthy (low cal, almost no fat), not as spiced as I was hoping for but that's ok, and the moussaka was deliciously creamy (but also obviously swimming in fat). The moussaka was also enormous, could be a main for two adults. Service was excellent (although we were the first for Monday lunch), and the decor is nice, good acoustics. We will definitely eat here again in the next few weeks.

Was welcomed promptly and taken to our seats even though we had no reservations (recommended on weekends). Food was of high quality and served promptly. The service was warm and welcoming and we were treated to live instrumental and vocal music and belly dancing on the Saturday we went. We loved the experience and this is definitely on our list of 'visit again' restaurants.

We went to Istanbul grill past Saturday evening, just in time for a welcomed warm party atmosphere created by the turkish lady which was dancing like a siren. I don't know her name but she is beautiful, as well her outfit and dancing. The food was excellent, as well the service provided by Albert. Thank you, we will be back.

Food was lovely. Babganoush and stuffed vine leaves were gorgeous. Lamb shank fab. Service from Adem and female server was friendly and attentive without being invasive. Adem asked with 10 min warning if ok to start our mains. Very happy to package any food we couldn’t eat. Nice background music and pretty decor. Lovely Pinot Grigio and Efes bottled beer. Definitely recommend

This being our favourite local Turkish restaurant, we booked the whole restaurant for our engagement party of 80 people and had the best experience ever! The service was great, drinks and food were served quite fast and our guests didn‘t have to wait around for long. We were very happy with the food and it‘s presentation. The restaurant owner as well as all staff went above and beyond our expectations to make it a great night! We would like to thank you wholeheartedly for hosting such a special night and for making sure everything was perfect!

Came here for an engagement party so I cannot comment on service as there was lots of people to check on but the mains were very nice, the meat was tasty and tender. I wasn't a fan of the starter plate though (it had hellim, sucuk, chicken goujon and sigara borek on it), the borek was nice but the rest wasn't the best

This is such a great restaurant. Really can’t rate it highly enough! The owner is such a genuine person and always makes us feel so very welcome. My personal favourite is the hummus with bread to start and the chicken mix grill. Thank you and we look forward to our next trip.
