Had a lovely evening with my wife. Service was excellent with the waiters being very attentive and friendly. As for the food, ten out of ten! The Bhajis were a must and the flavours in our all the dishes were cooked to perfection. Well done all at the Dakshin. Will definitely be coming again

Had my birthday celebration at this amazing restaurant Saturday 26th February, the restaurant was extremely busy and there were 14 of us. Despite this the food was as always outstanding and the service perfect we just love to come here and Ali and his team are so welcoming & really lovely people……highly highly highly recommended ❤️ best birthday for a very long time…Thank you Ali & team so much ❤️❤️❤️ Date of visit: February 2022

I went to visit dakshin with my husband and toddler. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. They made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious and authentic. There were many options to choose from and a variety for my toddler too. I will definitely be going back as we thoroughly enjoyed everything.

My second meal here and loved every minute. Fabulous food, Chicken Dhansak and Onion Bhaji to die for,.my father was swooning over his chicken tandoori. Love the fact that you don't use food colouring everywhere, I hate luminous curries. Ali's Garlic Roti was really tasty, and a surprise treat. We were made to feel like kings tonight, thank you very much guys you deserve every success. There was a really great vibe in your restaurant tonight and I can't wait come back, and not just for the free flaming sambuca (but it helped :))!

We are from Brazil and had the most fantastic experience! We went on a Monday evening (typically less busy) and got to be hosted by the restaurant’s owner. He was the most considerate and friendly host! The food was just amazing - all freshly cooked, delicious! The whole experience was terrific, and as we told him, they got themselves two regular customers! If you are passing through to visit the home of Charles Darwin, make sure to stop by! ☺️☺️

Excellent food. Have eaten here for the first time and it was a good experience. Staff was friendly. Great flavours. Really enjoyed the food. One suggestions: Toilets need more cleaning. Apart from this everything else was fabulous.

Just ordered a meal via Deliveroo. It’s probably the worst Indian food I have ever had. Meat portions in starters and mains were insultingly small (see attached photo) most of the main was made up of onion. The popadoms were soft too. Not worth the £53 charged.

Can't comment on atmosphere as take away but quality of food poor. Tiny chunks of paneer, not fresh. No spices, all curry's tasted the same. Thin dhansak. Have moved to the area and there is no comparison with my previous curry house.Curries all tasted the same. So disappointed as expected more from the reviews.

We've had takeaways but thought we'd try eating in-house. Didn't disappoint. Onion bhaji the size of cricket balls! Yum

We had had great food from this restaurant before but our latest delivery order arrived late, and cold and very oily. Our mixed starter was nothing like the description on the website and very poor in comparison. I did message the restaurant privately about this but they didn’t respond and so I’m now posting publicly. How very disappointing.

Went with my partner after reading the good reviews.The service was decent restaurant was half full and the food was nothing great in my opinion. We had a chicken jalfrazi and a king prawn Balti and both dishes where both loaded with loads of onions and not enough chicken or prawns the rest of the food was to a decent standard would I rush back definitely not I’m afraid had far better curry’s elsewhere.(We was quite disappointed)

This is our first visit to Dakshin restaurant and we really enjoyed the food, especially the Ali Roti and Onion Bhaji which were both large in size. The service was excellent and the owner, Ali, made us feel welcome. We were even offered complimentary drinks after our meal, which was a nice gesture. Overall, I highly recommend Dakshin Indian cuisine to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I can't wait to go back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
