This hotel is very tired. Check in was friendly, but then asked for extra money for breakfast, which we believed was included, confusing to say the least, said we could pay it later, then asked again on checkout but a different amount? The very small room wasn't nice at all, horrible shower with hairs included for free, half a toilet roll and no spare! TV hanging off the wall, remote only worked if stood right in front of it, they didn't fix it when reported. The bed was ancient, uncomfortable, hardly any space around it. Dirty net curtains. The room door looked like it had been kicked in a few times! The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed and rested on the bed when open. Breakfast wasn't too bad to be fair, but came out in a strange order, they ran out of butter for the toast? I would never stay there again.

Clean and modern rooms in a big old house. Not sure if the word 'Hotel' can be used as it is more of a bnb. Room was well equipped with a small fridge, tv, shower and comfortable double bed. Arrived at 3pm with a semi- friendly greeting, shown to my room and booked in for breakfast. Room was lovely and warm and had a nice aroma so went immediately to sleep for 3 hours... always a good sign! Room and hotel is quiet so got a great nights sleep. Breakfast was served at 0630 although it was slightly disappointing with two overcooked eggs and a sloppy tinned tomato. Overall, at Β£82 it was better than the majority of places in that price bracket and close to a local pub for evening food.

The room was incredibly dated and tiny - nowhere to put bags and if you put them on the floor and opened them, you couldn't actually move around without closing them and putting them away somewhere. What we thought was the wardrobe was actually the bathroom - we could not believe how tiny it was. Speaking of, the TV was more a desktop monitor than anything else. The staff and the manager especially were very aggressive and rude when speaking to us about their policy of not letting anyone else into the property that aren't paying to stay. This 'policy' is not listed anywhere in the room, at reception or any websites. Most hotels don't say that guests may not bring others around during the day. The rate is a nightly rate and so usually as long as those who have paid to stay are actually staying during the night, why should it matter if a few others popped around for 30 minutes during the day? Fine if they'd made us aware of this 'policy' beforehand but the aggressive manner in which they reacted after the fact was disgusting and really upset and stressed out my parents. I wanted to only award 1 star, but the staff were actually quite considerate in moving the room to a slightly bigger one because the first one we were given the bathroom was so tiny it was basically inducing feelings of claustrophobia, not the relaxed clean vibe one would expect. Thank you to the staff members who helped with that. Overall, this is more a 2-star hotel when considering the facilities, decor, out-dated-ness, poor upkeep and shockingly sub-par treatment from staff. Much better off staying at the Premier Inn - at least you know what you'll get - and that includes respect!

The people were lovely and friendly but the room was tiny, as soon as you open the door the bed was no more than 3 feet to your right and just inside the door was a fridge, it is always nice to have a fridge in hotel rooms but this was situated right in front of the door. the bathroom was bigger than the actual room, the bathroom was beautiful but would prefer the room to be bigger than the bathroom, the shower had a horrendous smell of rotten eggs and took ages for the water to heat up, the fitted radiator didn't work so there was a small portable radiator but we had to sit close to it to benefit from it at all and being in bed wasn't the best of help as it was just blankets, no quilt. There was also no TV channels, just lucky it is a smart TV and someone had left their Netflix logged onto it. For almost Β£220 for 2 nights, it felt like we were paying for the bathroom. Would not recommend it to anyone.

It was definitely 3 Staff friendly but I had to ask for towels the room smelled a little the worst part was the wonky door lock πŸ”’ an even worse the bodged job of the door handle that simply came off and had cocktail sticks used as a filler with screws to hold into door … we had to yell for someone to open the door to let us out !! It’s to expensive for what we paid next time I will find a cheaper quality alternative

Grubby hotel. Stayed twice. First time wasnt so bad as had nicer room number 1. However the second time I had room number 9 (?) I didnt want to unpack my stuff. I showered on the way out. Room was cold. Dated decor. Plug sockets out of order. Spiders and cobwebs. People smoking in adjacent rooms until early hours of the morning. Had to get up in the night and open window and spray my room as the smell of cigarette smoke woke me up and made me feel sick.

Refused to issue me a refund, despite not staying in the hotel. - My father was admitted to hospital and later died! Avoid at all costs, they show no human compassion.

The breakfast was very poorly presented for the of Β£12.00 you got 1 sausage,1slice of Beacon,1egg which they didn't even asked how you wanted it done dry cold toast. The small bathroom was filthy toilet had dry poo on the back of the toilet seat.the face basin had water mark when I checked in. Hotel needs some new bedding and some new towels.theres only one socket that guess could use in the bedroom. My stayed at the Glendevon Hotel was horrible.

Very disappointing . Tried to support local business, almost double the price of budget hotels but no where near as nice. Rooms were dated and falling apart, toilet door wouldn't close which was embarrassing as I was sharing with my father.Too many things done badly . I feel sorry for them competing in the current market but they fall very far from the standard they are charging for. Next time I will be looking elsewhere and saving my money in these hard times for everyone.

Staff are well trained, owners are super friendly & genuine, prices are incredibly reasonable for the area and the double rooms are absolutely divine. The location is perfect for transport into London. The full English breakfast is fantastic and I would certainly recommend to any traveler / business person.

We loved this hotel. I came here with my missus to spend the weekend in London. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it wasn't overpriced, it was actually cheaper than alot of alternatives but alot nice than your usual standard hotel. Really high spec and high quality, plus it's just down the road from Bickley train station and a short cab journey away from Bromley town centre which is great for shopping or eating etc, there's also a train station in Bromley with direct links to London and other surrounding areas. I would highly recommend this hotel, I will definitely be returning!

Last October I spent five days in this beautiful hotel located in a quiet, safe and residential area not far from the centre of Bromley. It is perfectly connected not only to the surrounding areas, but also to the centre of London. It's a friendly family-run hotel and the owner is really a special lady: sociable, kind and always ready to help you. My room was a true gem: clean, comfortable and cosy with colour television, free Internet access, hairdryer, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. If I work in that area again, I'll definitely stay there! Hi, Dawn... I miss you! From Maria - ITALY

Nice enough hotel, had to pay extra for breakfast, when asked how much it would be I was told about Β£10. Had room with spa bath which didn't work. At breakfast the brown sauce had been watered down, if I hadn't noticed it would flooded the breakfast.
