I have stayed in many Ibis and Ibis budget. This has been the worst of them and it is also bad, compared to other hotels. - The AC was very noisy - The soap in the shower was empty since we got the first day. Did not ask for a new one because we were leaving too early in the mornings and did not want anybody entering the room. The thing is, soap cannot be empty the first day - The curtain on the shower was so short that all the bathroom got wet every time we took a shower - The staff was not helpful at all. The guy that checked us in could not answer a simple question about the area where the hotel was - The light in the aisle when you leave the room only turns on after walking like 15 meters in the dark - Only “to go” breakfast

Well what can I say upon arrival no one knew if we had paid and then was made to pay again !!! Then we arrived at what should of been our room to discover other people stuff in them!!! Went back to reception to be told there wasn't any other rooms available we wasn't happy had us sat in reception for a good 30mins until the bloke found us a room by this point I was getting very stressed out. To then arrive at our room to find it was filthy shower didn't looked like I had been cleaned after last guests carpet hadn't been hovered no tea or coffees only thing made was the bed. Was not happy made a complaint to reception to be told they would get house keeping to check our room in morning and clean it we was staying for 3 night to see family and for a funeral what should of been the easiest part of our trip away was shocking avoid at all cost staff did not care

Stayed for 2 nights in a group of 6 in 3 rooms. Had multiple issues throughout with rooms and at one point even got moved out of a room part way through a stay due to staff error. Staff seemed clueless throughout our stay, with one telling us that he wasn't sure how to help as he was "new". Staff also often mentioned they would need a manager to process things for us, however we never saw a manager once during the stay. Generally seemed like they weren't equipped to help and couldn't ever answer questions we had about our stay. Hotel looked tired, carpets are old and stained. Rooms themselves weren't too bad, shower curtains didn't prevent spray from shower so the floor would get soaked. Rooms were clean but generally the rest of the hotel felt dirty. Breakfast was described as "continental" when booking, which we assumed would be a buffet with cereals and pastries etc. However on arrival we realised that this was a "breakfast bag" which contained a croissant, a piece of fruit and a carton of juice, with some having a cereal bar/porridge pot, making the experience feel like a school trip. Definitely putting the budget in Ibis Budget and definitely not worth £120 a night! Won't be staying here ever again.

Our stay and experience here certainly brings a whole new meaning to ibis "budget'... 😬 We were given the key card to room 103 upon checking in, and after heading to the door, room 103 turned out to be already occupied - much to the horror of ourselves AND the couple in the room 😳😬😰 After hastily going back to reception, we were then given the key card to room 104, which - whilst unoccupied - turned out to have two single beds instead of a double bed (which is what was booked), as well as it also being a disabled room, with a wet room instead of a proper bathroom 🤨😑 To then make matters worse, only one of the two single beds had a duvet, so that ended up being our third visit to the reception desk to get another. In the end, we settled in for the night with no further issues, and checked out the next morning 💤 In general terms of the quality and cleanliness of the hotel and the room, there was nothing major to complain about, as the hotel itself is relatively new having been refurbished from once being a Travelodge, and the room with its bathroom and beds etc. were all clean and tidy. The staff, who very clearly were not on the ball, were still nice and friendly enough. At best, this was a good night's sleep on a clean and comfy bed, however it certainly wasn't worth the £70-something pricetag! 😕

Standard budget hotel which can be improved by various updating (the carpets in the rooms for example - they are all a weird colour - and the walls in the rooms need repainting). However, they have definitely started making improvements with the first being jess working at reception. She is the nicest member of staff we have come across (we stay each month for work). She is willing to do anything for you; nothing is too much. Every member of staff needs to be like her! Next step is updating the rooms!!!

I was very disappointed with my stay, this is the second occasion I have had to request a room change due to poor hygiene and foul smells. The first occasion was the strong smell of sick and urine and on this occasion the room smelt very badly of dogs. Overall the cleanliness of the hotel is very poor .

This place is grim. Cheap and basic would be fine but this place is gross! Dirty, smelly. Towels had stains. The majority of the carpet was stained. Dusty. Footprints on the walls. Peeling paint. Absolute stench from the bath plug, made even more gross by the fact the water doesn't drain properly meaning you have to stand in the water that's contaminated with whatever blocked stench is in the drain. Felt like a crack den. Do not recommend.

Literally is what it says. Budget. Has all the basics. Clean friendly and secure. The NCP car park is 1 minute walk and 24 hours. £12 for 24 hours. It's right in the town. Excellent shopping area

During my stay at this ibis budget hotel, I was extremely dissatisfied when during my short two night stay, the Air Condition was not in working order and I had to take a shower in the cold and sleep in the cold throughout my stay. In addition, my colleague and I had cleaning included in the package but our room was never cleaned and our coffees never refilled. Moreover, my room was tailored for disabled people, and whilst I fully understand that it makes one's stay easier for someone who is wheelchair bound, it makes it more annoying for me, even more so since I did not book a room for intended for disabled people.

The location to the train station and London is fantastic. There is a large mall across the street and markets and shops are just a short walk away. Do not sit on the small bed as it will collapse. The staff explained that they’re designed for kids only. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Would stay again.

The hotel is clean and within good location for the bus, trains, taxis, shops and restaurants. The hotel could easily be rated as 5-Star if it had complementary breakfast and a fridge in the room. Comes recommended.

When this hotel was owned by Travelodge a couple of years ago, I regularly stayed there for £29 or £32, depending on the offer available. When Ibis took over, it went up to £42, but was still reasonable for the area. This time I was charged £75, and for later this week they want £120, which is over the amount my employer will pay (£100). The hotel is quite basic, which I'm fine with if it's reasonably priced, but £75 or £120 is not value for money. The bed was not great for two people: it sloped towards the middle. I don't mind that for a cheap stay on my own, but not when I'm with with my wife. Also, the breakfast is advertised as healthy, when it is anything but - it is a take-away bag with sweet stuff (muffin, juice, etc.). I chose not to have the breakfast, but a healthy, low-carb option would have been nice. What's worse is that the Accor web site says it's a cooked breakfast in a restaurant room, when it isn't - this hotel doesn't have a kitchen. I am being picky because I feel that, at £42, all of these things would be expected, and I wouldn't mention them. But putting up the price to £75 or £120 without changing any of this feels wrong.

Needed to stay somewhere close to London for a couple of days for work. Great welcome from Jess who was a credit to her employer. Rooms a little tired but good size room, very comfy bed pillows. A great place to stay for London and more than half the price than staying in London, with Victoria just 18 minutes away. Next time I'm in London I will be back.

Pros: Location. Easy access into Central London via Bromley South Station. Cons: Everything else. The rooms were filthy, service was appalling and did not warrant a so called 'budget' price of £100 a night. It was disgusting. Rooms were never cleaned throughout my stay of 3 nights, the sheets and carpets smelled of cigarettes and the hot water barely worked. I wrote to the manager and gave them a few weeks to respond before posting a public review but they chose to ignore me. If you want a budget hotel, go to another one in the area. This isn't worth it - you can't sleep due to the smell, dirt and noise. I wanted to move out after a couple of hours but all other hotels were booked so I didn't have much of a choice.

I know it’s a budget hotel, but it is extremely basic. There isn’t even a hotel phone in the room. Ok for an overnight stay.

Manager Cr*d* is very unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, no experience and no customer service skills. I was extremely disappointed by the way I was spoken to by this guy. Is almost like he's got personal issues with me even though its my first time. Will never waste my time booking here again. They are unprofessional, disgusting and I will never stay there again. One advice... please train your management team. This is a business not their personal space. Don't address paying guest as if you are at your home ...!!!!!!! Shocked to my core!

This "budget" hotel delivers exactly what it states. Very affordable and a very good basic room with everything you need to rest, sleep and work. The location is fantastic, right next to a shopping mall and near plenty of restaurants. The room was clean and quiet and the staff were very helpful, polite and cheerful!

Walked in, served straight away, large room for couples and Bigger family rooms available, the glades shopping centre right outside, direct trains into London, ideal for travelers and locals alike, highly recommend only 30mins by train from Blackfriars, main Train station for central London..

Convenient location. First I was given a room with funny smell ( smell of sweat) and they gave me another one that actually smelled really nice. Spacious bedroom. Great place to stay in the south.

We enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and bathroom all areas clean and tidy I dropped points for service only because we only saw two members of staff over the weekend once when checking in and secondly when a housekeeper was out in the hall in the morning on chambermaid duties otherwise no complaints and would not only visit again but also recommend to others too

This ibis is being used in part as a halfway house. I live nextdoor to it. I read other reviews talking about the place smelling of urine….holes punched in walls….how dirty it is…it’s because it’s being used as a half way house. I think it’s really poor form that ibis are still renting out rooms to people without informing them. When my family come to visit me I’d usually put them up here but there’s not a chance I would let them stay here now as it’s not safe. I’m woken up several times during the week by people kicking and screaming outside. Do not stay here!! Not safe
