It’s a nice enough pub, staff are friendly. Plenty of parking, great drinks choices. Could do with a bag hook in ladies toilets. Food feels overpriced. Ordered the roast; hugely disappointing. Measly piece of meat and boiled skin on potatoes that maybe touched an oven shelf for maybe a couple of minutes but certainly aren’t the roast potatoes one would expect with a Sunday lunch. Check the pictures, you can’t pass those off as roast spuds. Veg was lovely; red cabbage especially. Great gravy consistency but tasteless. Sides were average at best. Cracking playlist.

Worst roast dinner I've EVER had! Not sure why the restaurant thinks it can pass off minute steak as roast beef... or think frozen Yorkshire puddings are OK to serve.... but will not very returning! Such a shame as the starters were lovely.

Beautiful building, very tastefully refurbished 2 years ago, huge outdoor seating area and covered smoking area. Open fire for them cold nights, serving food and a wide range of drinks... Lots of free parking in car park but Restricted on the road between 11am and midday to stop people parking all day and jumping the train

Nice place for a quiet lunch (weekday) at Chelsfield with relatively good food and great atmosphere. Will go again and try their other menu.

Great, lovely place with reasonable prices (mains around 12-15Β£; kids meals for 5.5Β£. Yesterday we visited with the kids after their refurbishment. 6pm still quiet (we were the only people dining). Food served quick and all tasted great. Ordered 2 bar snack croquet and pork belly and the pork was just amazing. Wife had the fish and chips and the taste was lovely, not oily batter served with skin on fries Kids had burgers and they both enjoyed it (they mentioned that could me more fries) and it was substantial Myself had the burger (as the Thai curry wasn't on the menu anymore) and the meat was juicy, 2 patties, bacon and cheese. Was nice.. Only 2 concern that I would like to share: - I understand and happy that the establishment is pets friendly but would have been great if the dog on site sit / rest somewhere else than the restaurant entrance. My daughter is afraid of dogs and the owner of it was giving us an unpleasant look when asked to hold on to the dog. - from your snack the croquet is very pricey (Β£5) for 2 pieces compared with other options for the same price (however the dip was amazing according to my wifey) All in all its good to have this pub nearby, will definitely try their Sunday roast.

Good atmosphere, nice staff , very long waiting time to get food... then food is very uneven... Children menue mains: good quality -staff is flexible to get what you children want. Adolt menue some disapointment- I choose salad and could not work out why these veggies landed on the plate with big amount of olive oil... missing lemon juice, soya sauce or even balsamic vinegar! Pudding: Eaton mess - not recommended- poor quality fruit a lot of cream but non if the sweetness evn from the sauce... cherry Sunday - missing ingredients , big chunks of fudge which does not improving the taste, chocolade browny - children potions with compote of blackberry - browny looked liked treated in the microwave... I am not sure if we come again.... Hope it was odd day for the chef ...

I wish to sincerely thank Louise and staff at the Chelsfield for arranging our post funeral wake on Friday 15th. The staff are both friendly, efficient and accommodating in relation to our requirements. The hot and cold mixed buffet was perfect and was enjoyed by all the guests. Most importantly the room with its own bar and facilities is ideal for any form of private function. I rarely write reviews but can whole heartedly recommend this venue. Well done Louise

I would have enjoyed it more if the serving staff had topped my drink up to the line and hadn't refused twice. The quantity line is a minimum not a maximum

Terrible steak for the price. Dirty table. I ordered shepherds pie which was nice, but thrown at us. Could of been better especially Β£28 for a steak with oven chips and a dry tomato.

Had a beautiful meal here, with friends. Staff was very friendly, expecially the young man that served us. He could not do enough for us, was very polite and made sure everything was ok with our meal and drinks extra. Was only gutted as i wanted to leave a tip but didnt have any cash, and didnt except card tip. So i hope the manager recognises this!

Nice pub for pint and bar snacks. New decor better than old. Outdoor spaces very pleasant. Great sun trap in summer out the front. Restaurant very hit and miss. Had a few meals and generally slow with food coming out randomly. Food over priced for what it is. Said they had a small kitchen but hardly busy. Very disappointed with experience. One hour to get starters overall meal 3 hours and abandoned dessert. Restaurant also freezing cold with no heating on and deserted with zero atmosphere 😫 Staff generally ok bit not great on last visit. Our waitress clearly didnt want to be there, scruffily dressed in grey tracksuit bottoms and had attitude as we constantly asked for the basics. Won't be rushing back. Much better options locally but good good for that occasional pint and bar snack just not for special occasions.

Lovely pub which decades ago was a bit run down, & now has been spruced up & is slightly upmarket. Pub with bar, restaurant area & private function room. Friendly helpful barmaids too.

Quieter than expected for lunch this close to Christmas, but it was lovely to find a place that wasn't rammed to the rafters. The service was excellent, the food was tasty and filling, and we had a fantastic time. Thank you!

Never been here before and the circumstances was a funeral wake but the place is nicely decorated and had a good feel about it. The real fire was on but in the part where I was it was chilly. Service was good, good we had was good too so I will try the food in different circumstances next time. Parking seems to be ok too.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere. We had a Sunday roast which was gorgeous. Very friendly young waiter. Didn't have to wait long after ordering which was impressive as it was very busy πŸ‘

Had a lovely lunch after a nearby round of golf, there were 9 of us including two kids and the service was excellent, particularly Toby who was very friendly and helpful and is clearly a bit of a legend
