We had great roast/ Sunday afternoon here. Great old English country pub. Nice set up and there is nice fireplace. It would be Cosy in the cold winter night having a drink there. Friendly landlords and service is really good. The locals in the pub are really friendly, which make other customs welcomed. The view outside the pub is great. Free parking. There are nearby parks and forest.

Quaint, old-fashioned country pub. Dog friendly with a resident staffie. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Parking is a bit difficult as the lane is narrow. Damaged my paintwork trying to get tight to edge of the road. Sunday roast was a bit disappointing. Choice of pork or beef. Both quite tough but might have been kept warm as we were a late sitting. Potatoes and yorkshires were Aunt Bessie but the vegetables were fresh, especially the runner beans.

Considering our first time here. We felt very welcomed, especially by the landlady, whom we had a lovely chat with. Lovely to see traditional pub qualities remain firm. We will be back

The Rising Sun is a fantastic little pub in a beautiful location. Chris and Jude are doing a brilliant job behind the bar and in the kitchen. It's what a pub is supposed to be. Always there for regulars and always welcoming for visitors.

Love this hidden gem, easy to get to via car, bike or walking across the fields. New owners are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely large garden with stunning views away from the road - great for kids to play whilst you relax. So pleased to be within walking distance 😃

Great little pub. Landlady and the general clientele were so accommodating to our family for last NYE. Would highly recommend dropping in to have a pint and a bite to eat!

Great little local pub, like they use to be. Good local beers simple food well cooked, very pleasant hosts. Frankly what more could you ask for. If you like a good old pub then well worth a visit.

A hidden gem nestling at the end of the Darenth Valley. Now under new management, but even better!

Very friendly, both other patrons and those working here. Hadn't realised but there is a car park a few yards along the lane that has a gate leading into the pub garden-useful to avoid parking on the road. Beer was well kept.

Great traditional pub with a great selection of real ale and Hoffmeister lager. Large beer garden out back and parking.

Delicious seasonal menu, great selection of drinks, both reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and attentive. Cosy inside, although a little dated in terms of decor, and a generous outdoor area with beautiful views. A really fantastic place to start or end a walk in the countryside. I will definitely be returning!
