To celebrate a birthday, eight of us enjoyed fabulous food and service at Elachi Orpington. This was our first visit and we were made welcome by friendly staff who looked after us through the whole evening. Between us we had a variety of dishes from the extensive menu and everyone agreed the food was excellent. The restaurant is very comfortable with ample seating and attractive lighting. We all had a lovely time, topped off with complimentary drinks before we left.

Had my Christmas Day meal here with family. It was excellent service and food from walking through the door right up till we left, would recommend spending Christmas here to anyone, special thanks to the chef and the waiter Mir Raju, excellent spread that had been set up for us.

The food here is great, full of flavour! My lamb samosa starter was very tasty and the pastry nice and thin. My main course Dum Chicken had been marinated and you could tell by the flavours. Excellent food and service, I shall definitely be returning.

Had an excellent experience when ordering a takeaway from here. Very tasty food. Only slight downside was other half having to de-shell prawns in her dish but still warrants the 5 star rating. Simply put this was one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve ever had.

We always go for the £12.95 deal between 5pm & 7pm You can stay beyond 7pm.The food is fantastic and the staff very courteous

Had a birthday meal here last week. Did the special offer for early eaters but also the staff were very helpful regarding time as we couldn't all get there early but the staff were very accommodating.

What a great experience trying out this new Indian restaurant in Orpington. Just incredible food and amazing hospitality. Special thank you to Shan and Robin (our waiters) and the chefs and BOH for a lovely evening. Food was incredible, just delicious I highly recommend you try this new, affordable and friendly place. There were 10 of us dining, our food arrived at the same time and we could only recommend!

Ordered via just eat ,have eaten in this restaurant before was very good ,however tonight ,swimming in oill ,salad served with chicken Tikka ,rancid and inedible ,and very small portion , actually smelt sour and off ,had to throw away and in addition on the Sunday was sick all day ,and had acute diarrhoea ,so never again will I order from here

Lovely food at this restaurant, staff were friendly, but took almost an hour before the food was served.

Really lovely food, extremely kind service, definitely a place to go again! And was perfect for valentines date, no loud music just the right volume of peaceful songs so you can still have conversation.

Simla pink, as it used to be called was always superb and when it changed hands went there before Christmas and it was still good. Four of us went on Saturday for my husbands birthday he was the only one to order a started and he was asked if he wanted bought out with the main to which he said no. 1st mistake it was delivered with the main. Ok I thought mistakes can be made. My daughter ordered butter chicken and it came out really heavy with coconut which she does not like (think it was a korma). Complained so she ordered a chicken tikka masala and again it was thick with coconut so she just had rice. My prawn madras, although was nice did not have the heat of a madras. The manager came over and asked us if we wanted a doggy bag so we just said no we want the bill to which they bought the dessert menu. My husband was getting quite annoyed at that point so I paid the bill which included the food that we did not want or ask for because I just wanted to get out of there before my husband blew his top. No apology was given and won’t be going back.

Very taste food at good value. Good wine last too. Recommended.

Very limited choice for Sunday buffet. Had to order rice (although it was included). Disappointing as takeaways are nice.

Disappointing takeaway. Just had a delivery from Elachi restaurant for the first time. We ordered from their summer meal deal. Delivery was fast with no delay, price was excellent for the quantity we got. However, some flavours and recipes were disappointing; Beetrooty and artificially red Chicken Tikka Masala, same sauce used for their Chana side dish, both taste sweet and artificial. My children commented it looked like blood and were very hesitant to eat both dishes. Tarka Dahl was very plain and more like a lentil soup with very little spicing. The curry chicken and madras were OK. Generally, we were not blown away by the flavours and most likely will not order from this place again.

Eaten here for Sunday lunch three times now and on each occasion the food was superb. Self-serve buffet and eat as much as you want, with good choice of dishes. Very friendly staff and clean and upmarket surroundings. Very good value for money too. A new treasure for our High Street!

AMAZING!!! It was my sons birthday and we’d booked a table for 6, we were 10 minutes late, but this wasn’t a problem to them, great service, all staff there were friendly, on the ball, attentive, just brilliant!!! They even brought out my son a cake and sang him happy birthday (we didn’t ask for this!). Highly recommended 😊

No sauces with my takeaway delivery. When I called Elachi, the person I spoke to was very condescending as he explained that these sauces no longer come with starters and that now you have to pay extra for these. When I offered to pay to bring these round (I live less than a mile from the restaurant) he said it would be an hour, which he knew would be no good to me. I’ve been a customer at this restaurant for over 20 years (it’s changed name and hands many times over that period) but it was quite clear that they did not value my custom or me as a person, needless to say they have lost my custom.

Extremely disappointing experience. Got delivered wrong order and manager said they can’t do anything. Didn’t see any help to solve the problem.

Had such a great experience eating here from the moment we walked in to the food to the service! We wanted to try something new and Roni happily recommended various dishes on the menu and kindly answered our thousands of questions about Indian food. The recommendations were delicious and I found a new favourite! My friend and I left extremely happy and full, will definitely be visiting again! Thank you Elachi Team :)

Great food and attentive waiters. New items on the menu which look good so we will be back to try. Popular with our friends who travel from outside of Orpington to enjoy. Only slight comment is about the lighting, please please change ‘bright’ light bulbs for ‘soft’ light bulbs to make a better ambience. Just turning them down doesn’t really work as they are too harsh but everything else Amazing.

I am regular customer and on Friday, ordered my regular food. When the food arrived was stone cold and items missing. I spoke to the Manager on the day and he promised me £25 off next time I arrive. I made a call to order and then he lied to me saying “I can’t do that”. Refused to refund me money after the cold food. Then lied saying he’d give me discount! A disgrace of a shop! Will never return
