I found this museum worth the tickets to purchase which cost under £10 per adult. Although small it is unique holding an exhibition of the titanic and true tales of survivors as well as activities for all ages to participate in. In addition to this there are also vintage game machines which was am additional wow! Leaving you not only with a one of a kind souvenir compared to other museums but also a fun element that makes the trip round the museum one of learning, application of that knowledge and sheer joy.

This was a fascinating museum to visit, telling stories about the history of the Titanic and its sailing! Artefacts are shown, insight is given into what the people would have eaten and rooms small or large depict the setting on the ferry. The works of art are glorious, allusions are created by images like the replica stairs on the wall that look real and a simulator for the engine is amazing! A large room has interesting video presentations, replicas of the boat are incredible and amusements are not only historic but also available now for some here.

Attending as a parent helper for my son and his class on their school trip, I was blown away by the quality of the exhibitions at this wonderful museum. The staff were exceptional, and went above and beyond to make sure we were all well looked after, and had what we needed. Shortly after we arrived I started feeling unwell, but without a second though a staff member found me a quite place to sit and offered me a drink, coming to check on me regularly until I began to feel better. If you get a chance to visit I can't recommend this museum enough, there are brilliant interactive displays as well as traditional treasures with information boards. Brilliant for all ages!

Amazing and interesting displays of both facts and tributes to the Titanic incident which set sail from Southampton. I especially liked the use of multimedia displays to tell the stories of survivors, and in remembrance of those fallen at sea, more vividly. Apart from the Titanic zone, the Southampton history zone was also interesting. We can see how history has left its mark on a dynamic port town like Southampton. The adult tickets were at £10 and there is a student price. You can also book online or buy a ticket directly at the museum. Recommended for a visit!

I think this museum is absolutely wonderful. I think one thing to be aware of is they don't have anything from the crash (which is respectful so we can't be disappointed) it is belongings from the survivors of Southampton (some of which were on the Titanic but brought back with the survivors). They're a particularly stunning part of the museum where the floor is a map of the city, and every red dot represents a person who died and their address. I was in awe of how almost every street had lost at least one person. You really get to see how the story of the Titanic and Southampton are inextricably linked. In that sense it was very powerful. It's also very interactive and even though I am in university I had fun doing the activities meant for kids 🤫. Wish I took more photos.

It was truly an immersive and a wonderful experience. Plan ahead and spend an entire day wandering the walls of the rich Southampton history which includes - The titanic experience, History of early settlers in Southampton and Southampton’s contribution to some of the greatest historical events. You will definitely not regret this experience. There are also fun games you can indulge in and even get your fortune read by a gypsy! It’s super fun!!

We’ll worth the money. This museum is amazing for children and there are plenty of interactive exhibitions and installations to tell the stories of Southampton as an important maritime city and the story of the local workers of Titanic. We’ll worth the money. Staff were very friendly and there was locker rooms, clean bathrooms and beautiful spacious building with natural light.

Weekdays is perfect time to visit as you will get best opportunity to see evey nook and corner without being in queue everywhere. It has a lots of details about Titanic, Birtanic and Queen Marry ships in detail and a lot of others. A huge hall in the form of courtroom with constant video playing with people in question. The place can be covered within 60-90 minutes followed by a nice lunch/food at ground floor and a souvenir shop as other museum. Staffs are happy to help. There is an educational site for students mostly busy during term time. Other times, there are colouring pages for kids. Its a good informative place if you are enthusiastic about #Titanic. Tha parking is not at sight, only one is next to Southampton council next to museum but its paid 2 hours only. Another car par is West Park with is 3 minutes walking distance. Enjoy!

Although expensive, the museum justifies the price - luckily i got through with a student deal. Titanic section is brilliantly laid out and offered some details, photos and facts that I, as an enthusiast of the Olympic Class Liners, didn’t know. Museum is clean, well lit and nicely laid out. Staff are friendly. Shop is mint but just a tad expensive. Didn’t pick up the light up model of RMS Titanic due to its price, but if someone lets me know the name and company, I’ll be sure to pick it up in the future. Such a great visit.

Absolutely incredible and a must see. I enjoyed every minute spent at this museum. Please allow two to three hours to tour this museum to truly appreciate the history and story of the Titanic. This is a must see museum if you're anywhere near South Hampton.

This is a great museum in the heart of Southampton. It has multiple exhibitions which include - the history of Southampton, the Titanic history and its link to Southampton and the role of Southampton in Britain's history. Very well maintained. Staff are helpful and friendly. They have a cafe as well, and it even has little corners in the museum with activities for children to play.

The place is good with lot of Southampton history. It has a huge and informative section for the Titanic story. The coal game and navigating the titanic from behind the ship wheel was good. My 4 yr old got bored though as he didn't know much about the titanic. He wanted to see more boats are ships.

Visited with my wife and little boy, mainly for the Titanic exhibition, but thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the museum as well. We got there early which meant we could go round all the rooms with plenty of space and in whatever order we pleased. We had coffee and cake, played on the excellent vintage fairground games consoles things which was cool, and generally had a great time. Price seemed good, accessibility was excellent throughout, we'd definitely consider going again in a while once the exhibition changes.

What a spectacular Titanic history experience! Learned so much and its made so well, especially court room, and exhibition is full of interaction pieces, for example you can rule the ship or put coil in stoves to keep engines working. Loved the old playing machines from 1930s

Great place. You can learn about Titanic, which is probably the biggest attraction. There are 3 museums in. Overall, friendly staff, the museum is clean, great for both adults and kids and a lot of stuff to interact with. Price is reasonable and car park is available just behind the museum.

Southampton has been essential due to the strategic positions of their harbour. Titanic is an integral part of Southampton history. I think this museum is interesting and tells the story of White Star, the company that owned and got the Titanic built, and about important figures on the boat and the less important. The Museum is very small, though.

Tickets in my opinion are a bit too expensive for the content. It s true they offer also access to other museum but content of the titanic itself are a bit lacking. Fun , relaxing, not too crowded but nothing really mind blowing. Few hidden gems but in you go there and you haven't seen the Spielberg movie you won't realise how big actually this event has been. A lot of pictures material though and merchandise is OK, not t shirt or such:) just few caps. Coffe place was messy, disorganised, tables dirty, I had the feeling they were short of staff. The Manager, young smiley woman was nice but place itself was chaotic :) It was peak time though, 13 pm so is very understanding. I asked wipes and she actually came to clean the table herself. Very nice.. Enjoy some pictures

A small museum, where you can spend a few hours learning about the Titanic mainly and then some things about the people who have inhabited the area, through the ages. Left me wanting more but I take that as a good sign. The Titanic exhibit is quite interactive and entertaining. Loved the gym they had onboard. Amazing for 100 ago! Fun facts and curiosities are always good and I think it was good for older kids too, to excite their imagination and get them involved. Four stars because I wish it was better signaled and organized and have a few more objects or replicas.

Good few hours learning about the Titanic and the history of Southampton. Interactive sections were not working on the day of our visit which was a shame.

Slightly disappointing museum regarding the titanic expedition, it’s in no way terrible or awful but on the same hand it’s at best a slow 30-45min look around very few items, considering the ‘maiden voyage’ set sail from Southampton, I expected more. £10.50 is about the maximum I’d pay, however it’s not a place I’d be visiting again sadly. The museum dedicated to titanic in Liverpool is amazing and had far more articles and treasures so if you’re a titanic fan then that’s the place to visit in the uk.

Great experience learning about the history of Southampton, and the tragedy of Titanic. Well worth the admission. Plenty of details and activities for the whole family.

The Sea City Museum in Southampton, Hampshire is OK. It offers a decent glimpse into the maritime history of the city, but some exhibits felt a bit dated. The staff is friendly, and the location is convenient, making it an OK choice for a casual visit. However, if you're a history enthusiast, you might find it somewhat lacking in depth. Overall, an OK experience.

Very interesting place to visit. The stories and displays are well done. Was expecting more items that were actually from Titanic, alot seemed to be from Olympic, but similar to or like what would be on Titanic. Nice little gift shop.

A really well put together Museum, especially the part of the Musuem dedicated to Titanic. Lots of lovely exhibits showcasing the life in Southampton in that period, about Titanic and the impact the disaster had on Southampton. Has letters, news paper front pages and many other audio visual exhibits which give you a very good idea about what happened on that fateful day.

Re-live the memories. The detailed description of incident which took place more than 100 years in 1912 & probably the worst thing which happened in shipping industry. The incident brought many safety regulations related carriage & transportation of passenger & merchant ships around the world. The commentary, audibles from crew is eye opening. Overall a learning experience.

An amazing little nugget well worth a visit to learn the importance of the Titantic disaster and Southampton’s maritime historical importance over time. Definitely something you should do if you live in the city or are coming in as a tourist.

Awsome museum! 3 main museum to see: submarine / aquarium / titanic. All of them are fantastic but if u dont have time just view the submarin such as the aquarium

  • 5/5 Wesley M. 2 years ago on Google
Very good value for money. The museum was very informative and gave an extremely personal feel to the tragedy of the Titanic. Most notably were the several personal effects found on the body of one of the poor souls who was found dead in the water; his pocket watch in particular was on display by itself in a darkened room which added to the poignancy. Over all a very moving experience which showed a great deal of respect for the victims of the disaster. Staff were very friendly and informative too.

Very interesting and informative with lots of info on the behind the scenes of the people who worked on the Titanic and their lives during and after the voyage. It would be great to get some subtitles on the videos for better accessibility. The café and gift shop were also great. Highly recommend a visit.

We had a brilliant afternoon. Our children ages 9, 10, 14 & 17 all had something to do and interact with. It was very well laid out. I am a wheelchair user and I had no problems getting around and joining in. We highly recommend 👌

Very informative and interesting although not many exhibits, focuses on the lives of the people who worked on the Titanic rather than the ship itself. we spent 3 hours looking around. There is also a good very reasonably priced cafe on site which does Gluten free bread.

A lovely museum with good displays of the history of Southampton and its relationship with the Titanic

  • 5/5 Damien V. 1 year ago on Google
The highlight of this museum is their Titanic exhibition. It’s done in a playful and interactive way. You learn a lot about what the boat meant to Southampton, the daily life on the boat and the accident. They do not talk about the building of the boat, but probably because it was in Belfast. They also have 2 others exhibitions about Southampton, but I found them less interesting.

  • 5/5 Helen D. 2 years ago on Google
Very insightful Titanic section with good exhibits. The children were very much engaged with this section too. We loved listening to the court hearing at the end. The other two exhibits were interesting, particularly seeing how Southampton was expanded by the use of floating pontoon and later filling in with land. The cafe food was very tasty. Overall an interesting few hours spent here with the three generations of family.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Titanic experience but felt there were parts of the story missing and the sinking happened quite suddenly. That said, the various interactive experiences were good fun.

This place shows a lot of history about Southampton since the Roman came (48AD), they tell story before and after the Titanic sank, if you love history, this is a must place to visit while you're in Southampton!

My 2yr old loved it. It is interesting and has some interactive parts for kids. Lovely cafe and a small EXPENSIVE gift shop. I would recommend bringing some 20ps as they have some game machines too.

Last entry is 3:30pm although it closes at 5pm. There are 3 exhibitions and one of it is Titanic. It is an immersive experience with recordings of the saved passengers and details from the inquisition after the shocking accident. I know more about the lives of the crew and the conditions and living area of passengers from different classes then on board. I would definitely visit again to see other exhibitions.

  • 5/5 Pier R. 2 years ago on Google
2/3 was about Titanic and 1/3 was about Southampton history. Both are amazing, but if you won't like Titanic history's (really hard to think of) you would feel like price was too high. Not at all, and that's the only worst case scenario. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely time over there, discovering a lot of things we didn't know about Titanic. Would suggest 100% to go👍
