It had been a long time since we had seen some of the family, so we decided to spend Easter Sunday having a family meal at The Bulls Head. It was our first time visiting this place, but what a warm welcome. The staff are all so nice and welcoming, the food which is home made was delicious. I would 100% recommend this pub restaurant. We will definitely be coming back, even though it is a 2.5 hour drive to get there. Thanks to all the staff and chefs who made our visit so enjoyable!!!

We rented out one of their pods and had an amazing little date. My wife was very pregnant and we reached out to them before hand to share our concerns with contact (covid) and they were so accommodating. We’ve been trying our best to keep baby safe before he’s born and we couldn’t have felt safer there. Great service and amazing food!

Only dropped in for a pint so was unable to appraise the food. The pub is situated in a charming village with adequate parking and has spacious cosy bars with a Victorian country feel, wooden beams and timber floors. I and was greeted with a nice smile and a welcome pint of Fosters. Dogs and walkers are welcome and the menu looked comprehensive

Lovely pub, offering fantastic Sunday roasts! The lamb was beautifully cooked to perfection, with a very impressive giant yorkie!! The lovely, friendly staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, with latecomers, additional members of the group and also when dealing with a minor issue with the fish. Kids were well catered for too, from the menu, through to the collection of toys, games and books. I'm really looking forward to visiting again!

First time we visited and we will definitely return. Lovely setting and the kids loved the garden, it was great having the canopy for shade on a hot day. The food was delicious and very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful, great experience all round.

We arrived as two on a long local walk. Inside this pub is like a Tardis, absolutely huge. And the rear garden is huge as well with plenty of seating. There's a decent selection of ales including one of my favourites Doombar. The menu offers a good selection including smaller bites and sandwiches. The facilities are very clean and modern, with the pub itself offering a hard wooden floor maintaining that lovely cosy traditional feel. We did have to wait a long time for our meals, however it was definitely worth it. Our plates were nicely presented, with notable above average quality in terms of ingredients and taste. We would definitely like to return on a Saturday afternoon, as we did on this day. I recommend the Turkey Roast with all the trimmings or the Fried Red Snapper fish. I would hope that on a Sunday Lunchtime they'd have more staff. To cater for the likely high foot fall. A very nice traditional pub, with high quality meals.

Hired out one of the pods on Saturday 23rd October and what a shambles!!! The pod itself was beautiful, had a Bluetooth speaker and a heater and was very pretty couldn't fault the pod itself. The service! Well what can I say the waitresses didn't have a clue what she was doing had to keep repeating what we wanted, bearing in mind there was only 4 of us. Waited 45 mins for two bread board starters when it eventually came we only got one and then it took them another 15 mins to bring the second. Then waited another 35 mins for mains and they only brought 3 out of 4 out and forgotten an extra portion of chips we had ordered, when I asked where the 4th main was they was shocked like I hadn't ordered it then had to wait for another 20 mins for them todo it by then all the others had HALF finished there meal. All the food was rubbish and most of it left the last meal they brought out was mine and I didnt eat any as it tasted terrible. Ended up not paying for any food just our drinks. In all we was there 2 hours and 20 mins and most of us walked out hungry as we hadn't eaten. Will never go back...looks pretty but is terrible!!! And im not just one of those moaners that finds faults with anything when I go out.

The Manager and the Staff of this pub are excellent and saved out friends baby shower. We booked one of the dining pods at the Bulls Head (managed by an outside company) but the company failed to tell us that the pubs kitchen would be closed due to a summer fete until 2 days before our booking. They moved us to another venue, but it wasn't really our scene much further out and the menu wasn't to our liking. We accepted because we didn't have an alternative with two days to spare there was no way we had time to source another venue. Whilst on route to the new venue the Manager of the Bulls Head called to make sure we were aware of the fete (seems the company had failed to mention to the pub that our booking had been cancelled). We explained the situation, said we were all unhappy with where they'd sent us and was there any chance we could still come but order a takeaway and eat it in the dining pod? The Manager was happy to help and literally saved the day with 30 mins to spare. Customer service at its best! The staff were excellent, kept checking on us and recommended a local Indian (which was also really tasty). I can't thank the pub enough for coming to our rescue. We will definitely be back.

The staff were all very friendly and the service was great. All the food we had was extremely good and to top it off they have Neck Oil on draft 👍

Lunch with a friend here. Excellent salmon with a lobster mash. Beautifully cooked and presented. Staff friendly and efficient. Took long time to arrive and apologies were given. Felt was partly due to them having to cater for a huge funeral party who arrived just after us. We hadn't booked going on spec. Will definitely return. But nicer than usual pub offerings.

We went to this pub a few weeks ago with friends to have dinner in one of those pods. Despite a problem with the booking (nothing to do with the management) the lady in charge went over and beyond to help get the pod ready. It was one of the coldest nights of the year and she let us see the pod beforehand and judge whether it was too cold for us or not. We decided to sit inside & she got our table ready in no time, gave us recommendations on what to order and even included our kids in the conversation. Speaking with her was like talking to an old friend! The food was exceptional (we had chicken wings, squid, chicken skewers for starters, I had the roast lamb for mains, hubby had the burger & we had rice pudding & crumble for dessert). The log fire was on, the pub was lovely and cosy. All the staff members, including the chef were super friendly. Really enjoyed the evening there. Thank you very much

Had a meal in one of the outdoor pods and really couldn't fault it! The pods are stunning, every meal came out perfect and the staff were very friendly and attentive! Couldn't really speak more highly of it! will definitely be returning.

I had a lovely meal in there for my Birthday. The food was delicious. They accommodated us a table of 10 so I could celebrate with my family. Food was very nice and staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I was disappointed with, we preordered our meals and wanted prawn cocktail. And when we arrived they informed us they had run out. They offered us king prawns as an alternative which I thought it would still come as a prawn cocktail but it didn't.

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast. One of the best I've tried. Really large portions, tasty crunchy vegetables and well cooked meat.

Lovely pub with a variety of food options that cater for everyone. I had the chicken burger which was homemade and soo succulent. My mum said here hake was nice and fresh too. However the thing that made me give it 5 stars was the staff. They were very accomodating towards my elderly relatives who suffer from a few health issues. They couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. I unfortunately didn't catch their names because they deserve recognition.

First time visit. Excellent staff service. We went as a family 8. Desserts were ace. My roast was good but not a 5 - enjoyable venue- would go again. Would’ve been nice to see lamb on menu.

We had a 'pod' for six at the top of the beer garden, and had a three course evening dinner with drinks. Service was friendly but seemed rather haphazard. The food was good, but arrived cool having been run across the garden, two servings at a time. I think the whole 'pod' idea is bit of fun, and we had a very pleasant evening, but I feel more thought is needed to make it really work.

Nice country pub in lovely location. Quite large but with many quiet alcoves. Good menu with gluten free, veg and vegan options but no gluten free bread. Nice, friendly staff. Quiet in afternoons - busier as day goes on. But plenty of space and garden available too.

I was expecting a normal menu consisting of burgers, mixed grills and traditional pub food, but found a menu consisting of roast dinners, sausage n mash. I had the mixed roast and naan bread, houmous and Olive's starter! The food was amazing, it tasted really nice and it was a refreshing change from your normal average Pub menu. 👍
