This is a big green space, popular with dog walkers. There are two enclosed playgrounds, the bigger of which is next to the car park (usually plenty of space but can get very busy when there is football/rugby). The playgrounds are almost connected by a paved path which is reasonable for learning to ride a bike, although there is a bit of an incline which might be an issue for those just beginning. There are a number of football pitches and a cricket pitch, with rugby pitches in the area beyond. There’s also plenty of room for a picnic out in the open or in the shade of one of the many trees. October 2021 - at the bigger playground, the zip line, tyre swing and seesaw are all currently out of use.

Pitch wasn't great but considering recent weather it's not bad either. No indication at the beginning of the road that leads to the pitches. A nice sign would be appreciated. Parking is free and abundant. Toilets and bar are also by the pitch.

Doddington Park has few football fields, children play parks, area for basketball and tennis. Good walking trails and onto Lilly's Wood. Parking via Goddington Lane.

We where here to watch a football ⚽️ game against the Orpington FC was a good game. The park is really big and nice, well maintain and clean. Nice space for the young ones to play too.

This park is great for a run or walk as you can also explore other areas around by navigating through woods. The only downside is that it gets muddy when it rains on those paths, so be prepared.

Great park. Nice playground area for the children. Shame there was some dog poo but you can only blame the dog owners for that, and it wasn't a lot. Would recommend the park and will definitely be back.

Downside is, there's not toilet facilitie, in case you plan for a family day out there. Not water fountain as well. You will have to bring with you enough beverage for a day. The only close shopping area is at the petrol station M&S and a Coop a few good minutes walking from the carpark area.

Plenty of free parking available and a vast area to walk your dog and take a stroll. There's a children's play area near the car park but no toilets or café.

Huge park on the outskirts of Orpington. Plenty of room for sports, good play equipment for the youngsters. Watch out that the car park on Goddington Lane closes at dusk and is locked until the next morning.

Nice mid-sized park with tennis courts and playground. Also has basketball facilities but they are not the best (e.g. no chains on baskets despite requests of the council) and the court doubles up as a small 5-a side football pitch so there is often competing usage and waiting around.

The best thing about Goddington Park is that it stretches from Court Road through 4 fields with goal posts, runs along farmer’s fallow land one side and on to Chelsfield Lane, an impressive stretch. What’s its downside? A lack of parking with the overflow relegated to what feels like a pebble quarry under my wheels. All that space is at it’s best when walking your dog. Lots of nose postcard patches for our pooches yet most people are considerate in scooping, bagging and dumping all the “barker’s eggs” that usually foul most parks. BTW, can anyone tell me what the walking path tile with a ghostly figure leading away a small child means? Alien pick up point or worse?

I haven't been around the parkland area yet so will update my review once I have (June 2021). I can say that there is a large free car park, always a bonus, and plenty of bins for dog waste. Looked popular with dog walkers and young children on my visit. There are hard paths for accessibility leading from the car park. Didn't see any amenities like toilets or kiosk though.

Great massive park. It has a car park, 2 playgrounds and many football pitches. And local shops about a 10min walk away.
