Friendly atmosphere with great service. Food prices are reasonable. We went with the kid roast meal, cheese burger and 3 small plates. Squid could be a little bit crispier, burger could be grilled a bit less but in overall it was a good meal.

Around 35 years ago, a gang of my mates used to go down there drinking. It’s when Frank used to own the pub He was a big Arsenal supporter with his son . Has changed so much I can see the photographs.

Couldn’t ask for a more helpful manager, he went above and beyond to make our Sunday lunch one of the best ever. He was attentive and accommodating and we are very grateful. We will be returning. Thank you to Marc and his team for a great family afternoon

Excellent staff! Was delightedly with the service just received, all staff where really friendly, engages and clearly had a rapport with the rest of the punters. Went for the curry as our main, which was equally as good for the price range.

Is this place under new management? Came here a month ago and it was great. Now it’s pretty awful. Service was absolutely terrible. Shame as it was a weekly visit for the family but might need to rethink that.

My friend and I had an awful meal here yesterday. I had fish and chips and the fish was very overdone to the extent of being dark brown and dry. My friend had a pie which looked nice but the pastry was rock hard. Won't be going there again.

We waited about 40mins for scampi and chips. When it arrived they were soggy and not crispy like they should be. We used to eat there all the time, we won't be going back again. Pity the food used to be good

Simply the Best Local Pub in Orpington. Food, Drinks, Sports, etc. Good Ambience, Spacious for Family and Kids, ample Parking space and friendly Staff..

Have visited the pub a couple times and have no complaints! Great service, nice staff and a decent atmosphere! Will be back!

Popped in on the way back from a hospital visit & my word the food was delicious place looked so pretty full of Christmas spirit Had mango chilli chicken tacos just so tasty & hubby had the blue cheese burger equally delicious well worth trying the chocolate mocha brownie with coconut ice cream. Spotless glasses & really friendly staff look forward to our next visit

Popped in here for a pint. Pint of Old Speckled hen. Sorry only got IPA we don’t have Old Speckled hen or Abbot. Thought this was a greene king pub??? Had a pint of IPA, drinkable just. Did taste a bit on the soapy side. Not the crisp taste of Greene King IPA. Packet of pork scratching? Sorry run out of pork scratching. Well soapy beer no pork scratchings …… Atmosphere seemed good all watching and cheering football. As for staff wearing a cask craft t-shirt? What craft cask ale?

A home from home. I always feel very welcome here. The staff are friendly, polite, happy and eager to ensure every visit is enjoyable. The pub has a real local feel with a vast mix of customers all engaging with eachother - it's a true community pub. The food is great value and delicious, and I have always enjoyed my meals and have no complaints.

I came in today on my lunch break and had a cracking lunch at such good value. A super tasty Steak and Cheese Sandwich with chips and a pint for just £8.99. The bar made Kelly was brilliant she made my visit very enjoyable. I will be definitely be returning soon

Came in last Friday and it was very busy. Nearly every table was full in the restaurant area and bar however Leanne kindly asked a table of 2 to slide across to another table so our table of 4 could be seated together. Kelly was extremely attentive and between them both they made sure the restaurant area was kept clean and tidy after every customer and that everyone was being looked after. Credit to them both for working well as a team on what was clearly a very busy evening.

The buff is a great place to come for all the family! I had my 18th birthday here where I was served by friendly staff such as Ben

Love this family pub. Always take care of me and my family and friends. Yummy food, spacious and sports saavy. Easy parking and good transportation links. Worth a visit.

Very untidy,plus no signs on the door to say the kitchen was closed on the door waited a good 10 mins before someone told us that,the kitchen was closed and may not be open adter that,had my disabled stepmother with me,will not be back

Just heard there’s new management so came in to see what’s new. The new manager Mark seems to be turning the pub around again. Nice to see the staff smiling for once, Rachael was especially friendly and had me laughing the whole time.

We went into this pub as a family of 4 and all I can say what a warm welcome we received by a loverly young girl named Laura throughout our visit she went above and beyond to help with any issues we had (food) as an ex publican I know she will be an asset to any pub she works in and future her own place

Great place to watch footy and get a tasty plate of nachos and a pint. Friendly staff. Well kept local boozer.

Very nice food and definitely worth the visit. Have been here a few times now. Sometimes service can be slow but we'll worth the wait. Never been disappointed with the food so far. Will be back soon.

Manager Marc is lovely and always friendly. Lillie, one of the bar staff is also lovely, quick service and always helpful!

Had a lovely meal tonight, the best Hunters chicken I've had in a while ! Hot and tasty and arrived in good time. Friendly staff especially Rachel and Lily! Will definitely be returning!.

Had a very enjoyable and relaxed first lunch of the year today. The food was delicious and felt very comfortable.

On Saturday I came in to experience the England football game, The staff there treated me all so amazing, the atmosphere was amazing too. The music kept me staying there till close. Kenzie for me stood out on that night worked extra hard and always kept a smile on her face even though it was very busy.

Went to the buff for some lunch last week. I had a very nice signature fish and chips and my partner had the katsu curry. Both meals looked great and tasted even better. Compliments to the chef!!!

Came in for a few drinks and decided to eat, food was outstanding had the beef and ale pie and just wow I will be returning very soon

Average priced pints, decent location, usually great company but on this night my girlfriend and I had an arguement so struggle to give five stars. Didnt get to finish my blinking pint ! All good in the hood now though thanks for asking, cant wait to return !

What a turn around! I’ve seen so many old faces back in the pub. These people vowed never to return…Mark whom i’ve know since he ran the Queens head locally is back in the area and has made a difference already in so little time. New staff behind the bar that actually want to serve you. Long it may continue

I celebrated my 50th birthday at the buff and hired a dj for the night. The manager Mark and his staff were friendly professional helpful and accommodating! I would highly recommend this pub for a warm welcoming atmosphere! I would like to go back to try the food and watch some sport!

Food was amazing, and so were the drinks. I highly recommend the bbq chicken burger with the onion rings and a diet coke with rum. The bartenders and the waiting staff are very friendly and lots of fun to be around. Was there last Friday night, was able to play darts with my friends. The staff were able to help us with the darts. Overall lots of fun, had a great time, with good food and amazing drinks.

Myself and my husband visited on Sunday and I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection (I had the roast dinner and roast potatoes was as good as your own so v happy!). The bar staff was really friendly and a lovely atmosphere in the pub. Place was also spotless. Can’t wait to go back, taking the family next time. 10/10.

My experience at the buff was superb. Food was really good and came very quickly. All the staff were really lovely and helpful. My friends ordered the three plates which was a fantastic deal and I loved the beef burger. Desserts were even better!

I visited with my Mum on Christmas Day for dinner for the first time and I was impressed with the quality and speed of service and the food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I would recommend the Buff to anyone looking for a new location or change of scenery.

Had a great time in the buff last week, food was delicious and served quickly too. Staff really friendly and I even bought my non verbal autistic son for lunch. Everyone was so accommodating and understanding of his needs. Went above and beyond for us. Lovely place highly recommend

I came in last night for the first time in a while and there's a whole new roster of staff! the 2 young girls behind the bar Lilv and Rachel were lovely and kept everyone entertained with their energy. They provided a fantastic service while the pub was a little bit chaotic. I saw another woman behind the bar when i came in who seemed nice but didn't catch her name as I didn't see her again while I was there.
