I have been in many cafe's in the high st but never been in the br6 cafe i went in there the other day for coffee and cake i must say one off the best cafe's i have been in c very clean staff were lovely food looked realy nice will use that cafe / restaurant all the time .

The first time we went to br6, it was amazing, 5/5, excellent, delicious, well presented for and crazy cheap. We couldn't believe it. This time it was obviously 3/5. Simply put, the food was not great. There was a soup which way literally the worst soup we had ever been served, it tasted of nothing. I'm not exaggerating. And the were medicore, not as tasty as what we would make at home, but thankfully still edible. I guess it's reasonable to get such a mixed set of experiences, given it's a training restaurant. One thing which is consistent, the service is always very endearing.

Extremely slow service. Have been waiting for 45min for three sandwiches and still no sign of our food. Only 5-6 tables here so definitely not busy. Won't be coming here again.

Lovely place run by the college and the students great food and amazing service and all very affordable, would recommend to everyone

Absolutely quality service! Myself and my brothers came for the carvery (as pictured) and we got the homemade potato and leek soup to start, steak with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and mixed greens with a chocolate deluce to round it off. Harry was exceptionally professional above and beyond service, coming back to check everything was okay and ensuring that we had plenty of refreshments to go alongside our meals, he even held the door open for us as we left. I would highly recommend eating here at £25.95 for a three course meal that's a bargain and a half!

I know it's a trainings place but I'm afraid it's just not working, I live locally, the restaurant you don't know if it will be OK, have had cold food and poor quality too often recently in cafe and restaurant.

I booked for Thursday 7pm and turned up only to find the restaurant was closed "due to circumstances outside our control". After checking their website I found they had decided to close the restaurant for the rest of the week on Tuesday (i.e. 2 days before). Not only had I not been contacted to be informed the restaurant was closed, I had even received a reminder text on Wednesday (the day after they had decided to close) telling me they were expecting me at 7pm. Very very poor from BR6.

Staff were lovely & it's a very child friendly place but overall wasn't impressed with the food unfortunately. Had a set meal in the restuarant, chicken parfait to start was nice, just far too much of it and only 1 tiny slice of toast to spread it on. Main was roast beef, potatoes were nice but the yoirkshire was hard, beef was dry & tasted like a cheap cut & no horseradish. Gravy was amazing. Sadly the veg was a bit tasteless. I had the cheese for dessert which was lovely. All in all a nice looking place & really lovely staff but I think the food quality let it down. Wasn't keen on all the TV screens showing the kitchen with but that's just personal opinion.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent hard working staff and fantastic value, why can't more places be like this?

Lovely afternoon tea. Fresh sandwiches with lovely fillings, smoked salmon delicious. Scones and cakes all plentiful.Lacks the finess of a dainty tea, however great tuck in tea. Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle cake went down well. Excellent value for money.

Attended a business event with a guest, where the Restaurant had been booked out specifically for the evening and we had all chosen our menu in advance from a varied set menu. The food was wonderful, the event itself excellent and the front of house very helpful. Not everything ran smoothly in the service, however, with it being a Student Led restaurant, this was not expected and things were corrected swiftly when required. Our 3 course dinner with wine was £45 per head, but that included some money towards the Charity hosting the event, so is not indicitive of their typical prices, but even at that price it represents great value. Marking it fairly, I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars. If you allow for the fact that it's a Student led restaurant, it is of course 5 stars. Great work all involved, keep it up.

The space was super clean and the food was lovely (with a few vegan options!) but the staff got our drinks and food order a little wrong. All was adjusted but it just took a little longer than planned.

BR6 in Orpington Walnuts zone, is probably the best eatery I have ever visited. Good value, top quality food, and top notch service.

Popped in here for a light lunch. Delicious carrot and coriander soup with toasted bread, great coffee. Very welcoming and attentive staff.

Really good value for money! I cannot understand why this isn’t busier! Staff were lovely and food was really nice!
