A perfect place to come for a walk or a picnic, with scenic views and plenty of open space. There is a cafe that serves good, fresh food, and has good outdoor views. There's plenty of free parking available as well. There are a number of other areas of interest in the vicinity as well, so will come again to explore them in future!

A truly vast open space that provides ample opportunity to enjoy nature with family and friends. It is a short distance from the busy Bexleyheath shopping centre and provides a peaceful contrast. There is beautiful landscaping and features surrounding the main plain grass fields. The animal-cut hedges provide a sense of wonder. There are water features with gentle streams. There is a cafe and steakhouse restaurant near for refreshments. A great place to visit on a sunny day for enjoying nature.

Very nice green areas, lots of space for kids to run around in. There's a cafe which looked very popular, we didn't eat there as we took our own picnic.

Great day out to be had by all. Model railway and owl centre were the only costs involved. Plenty to see in the gardens and lots of open space for the children to run around. Parking can get quite busy when the sun comes out.

Lovely walk around the gardens after tea and cake in the tea room, followed by a pre-booked guided tour of the house. A very enjoyable few hours.

Lovely place! Really pretty and worth a walk round. Could be a free trip out. We bought ice creams and visited the owls both of which were on the expensive side but much enjoyed.

Beautiful grounds, massive and quite an impressive place with a history behind! We spend 2 hours walking around, enjoying the beautiful gardens on such a lovely sunny Saturday! 🌞🤩♥️ We start with Jambs Owls experience, amazing little friends 🧡 followed by a great breakfast at the Caffè, tasty food and friendly atmosphere 🤩♥️ walking the grounds for 2 hours after that, was such an relaxing day out! Great place to visit! 👍👏 ♥️

Came here first time with a few family, been past hall place so many times but never got around to explore it. I mainly wanted to come here to take some nice photos of the gardens & building. It also has ducks by the lake, very nice place on a warm day or just somewhere to relax & sit down. It’s free to visit but does close up in the late evenings. The building is inaccessible to the public but I think you can book to visit inside that I’m not sure. Great gem to visit 💎📍

Wonderful grounds full of stunning planting. As good as many NT gardens I've paid entry to and entry is free to all. Good firm pathways and level ground make it accessible for people with mobility issues. Jambs Owls within the grounds are also worth a visit.

Hall Place is quite beautiful. The grounds are an oasis of peace while the A2 traffic busily hums pass nearby. Guided tours of the grand house are available or you can simply buy a ticket and wander round by yourself. The Visitor's Centre, overlooking the river, offers a varied menu to suit all tastes plus all the usual facilities. Ducks and geese compete for attention. The large car park is free. It is well worth a visit.

Lovely garden space, very clean and well landscaped. Great for a picnic and time with the family. Has a cafe (food smelled nice), a gallery, owl barn, a small ride on rail system which isn't very expensive (kids under 2 is free).

Beautiful place to visit. Kids can run around for hours. We loved the owl experience too. The cafe is good too. They have a choice of hot food, snacks, coffee and ice cream.

Peaceful place, beautiful, well-maintained gardens. One can easily walk around and spend a couple of hours (or more) exploring the beauty of this place. Car parking is free, but please be mindful Of the closing hours- as the gates are locked at its closing time. There are ducks (you can feed them responsibly), but no kids playarea/rides. But the Hall Place often has something or the other ongoing for kids- eap their trails (last month Superhero trail was ongoing)- for a basic fee of 2.5£ (please remember to carry your own pen/pencil- as that costs extra pound). :) There is a cafe -called Riverside Cafe- serving freah, delicious meals at nominal price. The soups and coffees are amazing, and we visit them over and over again. Moreso, it is run by women- who are always welcoming and cheerful. In summer, train rides are on for kids for a nominal fees- and it is quiet and experience. Definitely recommend Hall Place to one and all- this gem of a place is one of its kind. ❤️

There is a beautiful garden in Bexley. There are parks, streams, birds, and many open spaces in both houses and gardens that are well worth seeing. You can find a cafe that serves good, fresh food in a park. I was there for a walk, but it would be an excellent spot for a picnic with the family. The park provides majestic views and plenty of open space to spend a whole day there. There are many more areas of interest, so I will return to explore them. Parking is widely available for free. The entrance is free as well. So take advantage of your free time. Worth visiting!

Big open spaces to have picnic or play games. Beautiful formal garden with nicely done hedges in different animal figures. Lovely old Tudor house, which unfortunately is not open to the public except for functions or guide tours ( please see more information on their website). There is a miniature railway there which costs £1 per person and a short ride, but will be a pleasant experience for a child. Stables Art Gallery and Shop, which unfortunately was closed when we were visiting, so we will be back to explore that too! There are also: Bexley Butterfly House and Plant Centre, Jambs Owls Experience and of course the Riverside Café with hot or cold food, drinks and ice cream cons! Very specious car park with free parking.

Easy parking. The gardens were obviously not at their best due to time of year. I assume more blooms in the spring summer. Butterfly experience ok but think overpriced for the size of room. Takes 2 minutes to walk round. Farmers marker was an added extra. Nice produce.

A beautiful place to visit and to just walk around the gardens. Unfortunately the house is not open still due to Covid but a lovely little cafe for coffee and cakes after a long walk. Never even knew this was on my doorstep, definitely returning just to see the changing of the seasons! 👍

Very nice gardens. Unfortunately, there are some parts that are a little neglected. But it's a truly good place for having a picnic on a nice day.

Lovely place for families. There is a selection of owls that you can see. £4 adults and £3 children. Nice cafe and prices are very affordable. Little river between the park and gardens with wild life.b

We visit Hall Place many times during the year the children love the themed activity trails, the butterfly garden and the owl enclosure. Last week we took the children on the Halloween Trail the children loved it and playing and feeding the ducks.

Had a lovely walk around Hall Place, went to the owlery and butterfly house, before walking around to see the beautiful flowers and wildlife. Son took the camera so he could add to his gcse photography portfolio. Definitely a great place for clearing your mind. 💙

Exquisite gardens and a even a bird hide where it's possible to see Kingfishers and Woodpeckers at times. The gardens are beautiful with beautiful plants and flowers that are a credit to the maintenance staff who look after them. There's also a small gallery with some great artwork that's for sale and a nice Cafe by the side of a stream with indoor and outdoor seating. Reasonably priced food and drinks and friendly staff. Really enjoyed our visit to Hall Place.

Visited the park on Monday afternoon. Space itself is nice and very well maintained. The only minus is the noise coming off the motorway which is very distracting and spoils the experience a bit.

Hall place is great for the whole family. Whether you want to go out on your bike, walk the dog, go for a jog or visit the gardens and house. Perfect all round must.

Had a nice day. Visited the paid butterfly park which was nice but is very small. Saw new miniature railway tracks being made and laid by a railway club. Once ready, they plan to run steam trains on it for passengers. Look forward to that, hope their prices will be reasonable. There are free toilet facilities and a restaurant and a large free car park. There are geese under the bridge near where the gallery and toilets are. There is also a covered viewing area from where we were able to watch 3 small kingfishers darting across the stream perhaps looking for a nesting area. There is a extensive park if you like to walk . Definitely worth a visit .

Easy to find with free parking. Very pleasant walks around the gardens and park. Nice visitor Centre and Cafe. Plant Centre a bit pricy for me , £77-00 for a Hibiscus! But does have plants specially imported or grown for them. Enjoyed the Art Display by Local Artists. A New feature will hopefully soon be opened to the Public, a passenger carrying Miniature Railway which has been re located from Falcon Wood where it was extremely popular. Run by the Members of Welling Model Engineering Society, there will also be a Scenic Gauge 1 Railway. They have excellent facilities on site with a new Club room and workshop. Always welcoming to new members and visitors alike. Well worth a visit and I will certainly go there again.
