Delicious food (when the order was correct) The salad my date ordered was missing ingredients mentioned on the menu. The staff was really friendly but really inattentive. Not a good first impression for this establishment.

Came as a walk in for an outside table with our 6 week old baby and they explained there were no tables available but some should be available in an hour and they agreed to reserve a table. We said we are happy to wait as we would walk around the park for the next hour and they offered to take our number to call if a table became free earlier. Half an hour later we had a call that there was a table free for us so we made our way back. Once settled at the table, we were asked to move to another one by staff to accommodate another couple and swap with with them and once sat down on the second table, we were asked to move to a bench where we could not get our pram to. We explained that the third table option would not allow the pram through and we were told that it is the only option as we are walk ins and their priority is the reservations ignoring the fact they took a reservation for us. We explained that they called us saying there was a table knowing we had a pram so if this wasn’t an option why did we get a call to come back. The staff member again said that their priority is the booked reservations and that’s the only table they can offer outside implying it’s not his problem that we can’t get our pram to the table. We were offered a table inside but we were very clear from our initial conversation (before when they offered to take our number and call back) that we would like a table outside. Ended up being a complete waste of our time and we left. The staff member made us feel really unwelcome and couldn’t care less. We don’t understand why they called us to say a table was available when there wasn’t. Won’t be going back again, clearly don’t cater for people with young children.

A big thank you to everyone at The Stables for such a wonderful lunch at our wedding celebration! The staff were very attentive and accommodating, especially Jo Jo who was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Despite the pub being quite busy on a hot Friday, our lunch was served fast and to all guests at once. The Stables is definitely a place I would recommend if you are planning to get married at Danson House! Whether you choose one of the private rooms or the public area, the charm of the pub makes it an ideal spot to celebrate your big day with good food!

Dog friendly. Perfect place to grab food after taking the dogs to danson park. Food is decent, nothing special. a bit expensive.

Food: 1 star terrible! Oil has not been changed for a while! Very dry overcooked food. Waiting time for 1 cocktail 40min. Toilets filthy! One of the worst pubs unfortunately! 1 star for the setting and smile on waiters face! Thank you

Pretty expensive for the food they serve. I’ve ordered a tomato, mozzarella, avocado with dill mayo sandwich + a salad as a side. The food was very basic, the most low cost ingredients you could get from the shop. No dill mayo in the sandwich, half of a red onions not entirely sliced in the salad. It is a shame because the location is really nice. Should definitely put more effort in the food. Best to avoid and bring your own food when visiting the park.

We hosted our wedding reception at Danson Stables back in November and had a great time. We had the full menu available to us if we wished but made the decision to select 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts for guests to choose from. Not many people have Burgers or Fish and Chips on their wedding menu but we love to be different. All our guests were extremely complimentary of the food on offer and portions were very generous so everyone left very happy. With 45 Guests we had just enough space for everyone and even had a make shift dance floor. he use of the speaker system was complimentary enabling us to have music throughout and we had both confetti and sparklers in the carpark. Lovely place to visit, when the sun is out. The food is what you expect for a pub. Worth a little pit stop when in the park. Pleasant service.

The atmosphere was chilled, and the young ladies behind the till were also lovely. However, when I ordered cocktails, the lady who made my cocktails used her unwatched hands with pretty acrylic nails 💅 ,to pick the fruits from jars. I mean, I'm sure there's a specific tool used to pick the fruit slices or even a fork, but her fingers, nah, i wasn't happy with that. But overall, they were lovely they just need more food and hygiene training .

Went for an afternoon tea today with a friend for a catch up. It was great, superb service from our waitress, very attentive and kept making sure we had everything we needed. Very enjoyable would definitely recommend.

I haven't been in this place for at least 20+ years because they didn't have half the food on the menu. Sunday 28th Jan 2024 I gave it another go for a roast dinner, service good, portion good but food wasn't hot at all. I should have complained but quite honestly I couldn't be bothered because would have had to wait for it all over again. Won't be going back for another 20+ years...........

Lovely and friendly staff, nice venue within the park, we celebrated my sisters engagement here with an afternoon tea. Staff looked after us well and ate lots of lovely sandwiches and cakes!

We had an absolutely brilliant time at our event on Saturday. Thank you to the whole team for such a great experience. Special Mentions to Jake for taking care of the bar and Sam for being such a great host and manager. We were so impressed. The pub in general is a great place to go all year round and we love to visit. A good selection of beers and lovely staff.

Incredibly dog friendly although it can get caught off guard on random sunny term time afternoons for business so we were warned there would be a wait for food. The wait was nowhere near what they warned and the food was really nice. Also so nice to have the choice of rice rather than just chips/potato for the children's menu. Have recommended it to my parents to come for lunch.

Decided to try somewhere different for a meal & drink. Walked through Danson Park to get there. Beautiful place. No beer pumps working. Ordered bottles. Very shocked to spend nearly £13 for half a lager, & bottle of cider. Cannot post on food, as left after our drink. Thank you

Tasty steak , chicken , linguine & cocktails served in a clean environment by friendly staff . Though ran out of beef pie. Need to hang on & be steady while climbing up the steep stairs for relief! Parking available & located in a beautiful garden & park setting .

Just had a birthday lunch with my dad and was lovely. Food was really well cooked and fresh. Staff were lovely and welcoming - Rachel, Jess, Sam and Sylvia. The kitchen team clearly know what they are doing. Also the table next to us had a pie with the most amazing puff pastry top. Absolutely love and appreciate you can take dogs there as well as so much easier for us to have them with us. Thank you Danson Stables team for a delicious lovely lunch 😍

With a short wait they had a table ready for me mum and the dog. Food was amazing pork loin and the hunter chicken were great. Nice place to eat

Good collection of food and space, serving is fast if you order by APP, no need to wait for the queue at the till. Also good to bring your hairy friend, they are allowed in.

A beautiful, and not expensive, venue for our wedding reception, very well catered on-site, and with staff always happy to assist, and help clear up the next day 😄😄

Just had Sunday lunch there, they coped really well with an extremely hot day. We were given a huge jug of iced water, our drinks came promptly, the roast pork and turkey were delicious, so too the lamb shank and chips. We got an apology for the desserts visibly melting in the heat but they were superb nonetheless. Delightful staff too. Highly recommended

We had our wedding reception in the function room at Danson Stables. The staff were really lovely and helpful. The room was perfect for our wedding and we had lots of areas to personalise. The food was excellent and well presented. All in all, a great experience and recommended.

Nice place to find a pub. Made to feel a little less than welcome because we weren't eating. Charged £9.60 for a cranberry juice and a 440ml can of Guinness 0.0. Expect the bigger cans from a pub, especially when it costs that amount

I came here after a long day at work and cannot express my gratitude enough for the staff in this pub. Especially Jordan, Amy and Jake! They all were so nice and welcoming it really added to my experience. Would recommend to anyone, 10/10 hospitality excellence.

Love this place, it is a great place to grab a bite to eat with your dog before a nice stroll around danson park itself, the staff are welcoming and friendly , they even have a dog food menu and doggie cocktails, well worth a visit with your pooch

It's a lovely location, but the service and staff aren't so lovely.. tables not cleared only two staff on duty so the wait just to be served drinks was long.. also not cheapest place. 2 coffees 2 fruit juice and 3 cokes over £25.. a smile goes a long way.. hopefully the staff will remember that. Such a shame because it has the potential to be a lovely meeting point..

Have been here several times. We come normally for large family gatherings, we never feel rushed, the staff are great with any children we bring which is brilliant. Food is always yummy and it's priced really well

Atmosphere was great, food and service were good. We enjoyed our lunch here. What is the most annoying for me in many places I go it's a not-properly cleaned table, which was the case here in Danson Stables, as well as sticky menus.

I recently visited the stables and had a very nice experience, food and drink very good along with a comfortable atmosphere I would definitely return and recommend a visit.

Went here for Sunday Roast. Food was tasty but they had run out of Yorkshire Pudding and the only thing that was hot was pigs in blanket & gravy. The rest was warm. Deserts took so long to come out that it was melted and the Erin Mess smelt gone off so we didn’t eat it and requested to get it taken off the bill which they did but brought the wrong bill in the end. Despite the chaos and long waiting times, the waiters were friendly and food was good.

Had Sunday lunch here to celebrate daughters’s birthday, lovely location, great food and service and good value!

This park is Lovely! There is a big green area to walk through as well as some trails. The playground is really nice an it has aquatoys in it. For the ones who wants to spend the day, you can find nice meals and beer on the Pub which is inside the park. The lake is beautiful and my favourite part was the old English garden, just beautiful!

Nice little bar tucked out the way of the park. Weddings are going on. Seemed like a nice atmosphere. We were served quickly, although the bar staff didn't seem too interested, but we weren't that worried by that.

We visited on Wednesday the 27th of December. When we tried to order food we was told the kitchen had run out if a few things to accompany meals like mash potatoes. We was asked if we wanted chips or roast potatoes my wife was very happy she could have roast potatoes, The food came out in a reasonable time and it was really nice. The place is really nice. Would if been nice if the young lady serving us was smiling though. We will be back

Very disappointing. My fishcake was stone cold. Was served a hotter one but very small for £9.50 plus salad. Was more potato than anything else, not really a hint of the smoked haddock......suggest you buy in your fishcakes from Morrisons, they are much better. Only plus was our waitress who was very nice & attentive.

Family friendly with great atmosphere We love coming here after a long walk around the lake and a play in the park Dogs are welcome which is a bonus as we can wear both the dog and kids out! Food is of a good standard with a varied kids menu This is definitely a monthly staple for us!

We waited more than an hour for 2 kids menu and a starter. No attention from the staff. Then we asked for the kids pudding which never arrived, so we left and they didn’t notice at all. The puddings that I ordered probably they ate them. Hope they enjoy at least. NEVER AGAIN!!
