    Always nice, good selection available. No pork crackling though, so only gave them 4 stars. Poor lady working our area was rushed off of her feet. Very busy for a Monday, used a groupon with no issues

    Had a great carvery meal here. Service was very good, plates were hot and the people in the restaurant all seamed to be very happy with there food. A good mix of a age groups and I ran into a friend out for a meal with his family. He said to me later that he often eats here. Location made it a great place to eat at this time of year.

    Very busy so slow service. All tables running 20mins late but lovely weather so sat on patio with drink. Food was nice, fresh and hot. Puddings were well presented

    Went for buffet breakfast! First time at a Toby Carvery! Have to say the food is quite nice for a buffet, and the price is great value for money. We paid £5.99 each for the unlimited breakfast and £2.49 for unlimited tea/coffee. You cannot fault the price. You could have egg, bacon, sausage, beans, tinned tomatoes (shame that there wasn't any fresh tomatoes), potato, cheese +onion hash, hash browns, mushrooms, Yorkshire puddings and gravy and toast or bread!! Will definitely come again and will tell friends and family!!

    I do love Toby's carvery, I do understand that they are busy I've been trying for the last 3 days to get hold of the restaurant. I've called at all different times in the day and nothing, I'm ringing up for enquire about gluten & dairy information i know they have it in their web but doesn't really give you much about the roast so instead of me going all the way their its easier to call up! Well you would have thought so I understand you're busy but it takes 2 seconds to answer a phone I hope I don't waste money getting down their to then be told I can't have the roast because they can't pick up the phone!

    The venue was tired with torn carpets in the Ladies that are a trip hazard. The barman was lack lustre and not engaged in customer service and couldn’t be bothered Our meal was nice and was served efficiently but without much engagement or smiles. Our table waitress however was smiley bright and a redeeming moment of our visit. She engaged with us and upsold the desert menu well. The only reason I left a tip was this aspect of our visit. We would not visit this site again and would not recommend

    Beef was gristly, so bad in fact that one elderly guest failed to cut up and choked very scarily on it. Veg were lukewarm and gravy even though it had just come out of kitchen. Staff were overworked so much that we waited 10 minutes to make a booking for a party of 20. Staff were attentive to choking member of party. Puddings were faultless.

    Toby can be a bit hit and miss, but we enjoyed this branch, the staff reasonably the ones cutting the meat were really friendly and polite. Everything was very efficient and the food was really nice, even went up for seconds as the kids insisted. Great selection and everything kept fully stocked.

    I'm giving this 5 stars as the staff were fantastic and the carvery was lovely. My only down point is that the chain owners have removed all the vegan puddings so there was nothing on the menu for me as I am dairy and gluten intolerant. However the lovely staff managed to find some sorbet and let me have that so 5 stars for the staff but 0 stars for the chain owners. I have left a very negative on Google to reflect the chain's decision.

    Our party of 12 had our Boxing Day lunch here. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait long to be served. The carvery was lovely as always. The staff were lovely even tho they were very busy. Couldn’t fault our visit there.

    Very friendly & Helpful Staff👍 Loads of food selection for 'Vegans'.. Moderate size Restaurant with a large Bar, where Staff is very accommodating. Over all my husband & I had a nice experience 🙂 (although we ate I the overflow area in Bar - The Staff checked in on us often - Stars 🌟)

    We've patronised this branch of the Toby regularly for several years, and today we attended as a party of seven, including three kids. We were seated in the bar area as we had were unable to book seven in advance, so booked separately and asked to be seated together on the day on the off chance it could be done- that's fine, they've accommodated us and we were grateful, but I'll come back to this later. The place was absolutely heaving with customers, owing to a half price offer, and as a result staff were rushed off their feet, to the point of being snappy with customers - again, fine, we're all human beings and we all get stressed. When we asked the kitchen staff if we could have a side plate for some cauliflower cheese, we were abruptly told to ask our waitress, which we didn't have as we were seated in the bar area. This lead to quite a bit of back and forth as my wife went off to find a waitress and ask for a side plate, and I kept our meals moving along so the queue wasn't held up. Towards the end of our meal, I went to the bar (as bar staff take care of orders from people eating in the bar area) to let them know we were ready for the kid's deserts, already paid for as part of their meals. As soon as I mentioned deserts, I was told the bar staff were not doing deserts as they were too busy; it was only when we explained we'd already paid for these that we got them. We were intending to order deserts for the adults of the party, too, but didn't as the bar staff weren't doing deserts. I have no problem with the staff here - they were rushed off their feet and reacting in a perfectly natural way to an overload of work, however when staff are stretched so thin they are coming across as rude and snappy, it makes them unapproachable. At one point, my wife explicitly said to my son said she didn't want to ask the staff the answer to a question he had about his food, and she found the answer online rather than bother the staff. Clearly there are not enough staff being laid on during busy periods, or Corporate isn't giving the branch enough labour hours to cover these periods effectively. Ultimately, while we will get over this bad experience, some customers may not and it will lose the company sales as people will either be put off or will be unable to buy everything they want to (see above re deserts!) To any manager or member of corporate reading this, I would ask as a customer that you DO NOT take this review as a reason to discipline or otherwise pressure your staff - they are pressured enough! Just please make sure that during busy periods the store is appropriately staffed!

    Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly face , our table wasn’t ready yet as we were early but we weren’t made to feel like it was an issue. We were Sent to the bar to wait, the girls at the bar were not friendly at all, but I put it down to them being a little over whelmed. We were seated promptly which was great didn’t even have time to sip my drink which I was happy about as I wouldn’t have wanted to be waiting at the bar for much longer. Got to our table, it was set up lovely And our waitress was an absolute dream so helpful and friendly, she really made our Christmas enjoyable. Food was delicious price was great and it was a good first time experience. Thanks Bexley Heath Decor/windows could do with a little maintenance but overall enjoyable

    Managed to get a same day booking for four people so was pleased with that. We got lost and was 10 minutes late but the front of house hostess was kind and still sat us at our table she even changed our table as I was more comfortable in the booth with the baby. The staff seemed overly busy with what looked like an old peoples home day out so service was slightly slow but all staff members were very friendly and made us feel comfortable the food was great and all the food serving area was clean and tidy so no hygiene issues. Here comes the bad part 🤦🏼‍♀️ the actual location is a very nice place but the restaurant its self is very dingy and poorly lit I sort of felt like I was walking into a 90s pub scene right down to the carpet it was all very prehistoric with every table literally backing on to the other it was just a bit much for me to handle I can’t say I will ever go back there as it’s just a very old fashioned setting a very THIS IS ENGLAND kind of setting and the customers not the staff the staff were lovely but the customers all traditional brits literally made me uncomfortable and I could not wait to get out of there maybe it’s just me I’m not a people person but our table was getting a lot of looks maybe because we are not regulars I don’t know but I know it was like the twilight zone in there and it definitely needs an upgrade once again the food was delicious and the staff lovely so if your looking for an old east end boozer with a Sunday roast this is the place for you lol

    The service is lovely and everything else but I think it’s really annoying because of the queue system you could get the end of the meat before they bring out a fresh one so the quality isn’t as good. I had to wait 5 mins for the new Mac and cheese because it hadn’t been replaced in the whole time I was queuing up. The beef was then inedible because it was too chewy and not the prime part of the beef my partner couldn’t eat his turkey because it was bloody veiny. Overall it was okay just a shame for the meat and the lack of replenishments.

    Food is amazing and service was brilliant. We thought we had found our new to go. Unfortunately as soon as we left my husband got severe food poisoning. The only thing different he had eaten was stuffing and turkey. Such a shame. I have tried to find contact details to email direct and haven't been able to find. I am afraid this has put us off returning.

    Our experience yesterday was by far the best one we have had.. myself and my family are regular visitors.. we brought my nan with us yesterday to let her know the gender of our baby and she unfortunately has cancer so hasn't got much of an appetite the manager yesterday was very understanding of this when we asked if we could get her a children's carvery due to this.. this made us all as a family feel very appreciative of his understanding towards our situation and the food was amazing

    Excellent value. And really great quality. This isn’t a case of quantity over quality either the food is really nice, saturday 2 meals 2 drinks £30 and fill your plate with a nice selection of veg and potatoes choice of meats etc. you can have gammon, pork, turkey or beef or any combination apparently.

    Food was great and but the decor is shabby and in desperate need of a makeover. Paint and plaster peeling off walls and windows and it needed a good clean. Shame as it's a bit off-putting. You don't need to shut it down completely for a re-dec but could easily close half the venue at a time as it's big enough, say in the new year. Please consider! 🙏

    Great food! Great service from Chefs! Reserved table ready upon arrival. Quick seating. Just a poor service once your ready to leave. Waited nearly 15 minutes watching 3 staff members laugh amd joke around at the front desk while my table and the table next to me were wating for a waiter. I needed my bill and the other table wanted desserts. Got up to ask for my bill and was told the waiter will be with me in a moment. Continued to wait another 5-10 minutes, while the same 3 staff members continued. One of which looked more senior. Should know better. Overall it took longer waiting for my bill than it did to park and eat my entire meal.

    Food was good although some items could have been hotter. Our waitress Becky was brilliant. She was attentive without being in our faces. She is the best waitress that we’ve had despite some of the others being lovely and efficient.

    The meal was very good and our waitress was nice and pleasant. Chef was extremely miserable and had no personality skills so quite off putting. The food was only warm not hot as it needs to be but still tasty. Pudding was excellent crumble and custard.

    I had a birthday lunch there. The service from the staff was top notch; I was very glad to leave them a tip. The food was very good. I had a turkey and beef with a roasted potatoes. The gravy was flavoursome. The family loved it and said that they would like to visit again; job done.

    Shown to table straight away. Drinks order taken very quickly. Carvery was very nice and good choice of vegetables. Unfortunately children's menu left a lot to be desired as on first visit no chicken nuggets or chicken burger and that beef burger would be a slice of beef from the carvery joint so granddaughter had nothing. Second visit was the same but I bought food for her with me just in case and she had that.

    I want to share my total appreciation and thanks to the manager Kelly, who went above and beyond. She was very understanding and helpful in providing exceptional service on the day of my brother’s funeral at very short notice. Being a funeral we asked mainly for sandwiches, which for her being short staffed and a large group at the last minute was challenging but she was amazing and offered us other food as well. The group complimented the food and service on the day. This was at the Bexleyheath branch, Crook log. Thank you from all the funeral group!

    We had a very pleasant time, the food was great and the service was perfect. Our waitress was very polite and attentive even though it was very busy. The only thing I think you could improve on is having lamb more often as it was delicious

    Everything was good from start to finish, there were 6 ladies and as I far as im aware they all enjoyed it The things I feel could be improved would be that; as 3 of us were sharing a bottle of wine it would have been better that the glasses were 1) all the same size or 2) had measuring marks on them Finally, having to work out each persons bill was a dampener on the afternoon, perhaps software to work this out for each guest would be fantastic!

    Staff were so helpful considering it was father's day and quickly resolved my incorrect booking. Given our seats quickly and service was attentive and excellent. Food was all good. Great meal.

    My favourite Toby carvery to go too. I’ve been to others such as Eden park but would say that bexleyheaths branch is the best. I didn’t book a table and was very busy but they was still able to seat us very quickly. I was served pretty much straight away. The food quality was lovely, could not fault a thing. The staff is very helpful and friendly, just overall a lovely experience so will be visiting again, thank you!

    I went to the Toby Carvery with my elderly father who is registered blind. We were made to feel very welcome when we first arrived at the desk and then shown to our seat near the window which I asked for when booking it. Our waitresses Becky, Amanda and Katie made us feel so very special, they were very attentive towards us both but paid particular care for my father when speaking to him and placing drinks and the plates on the table. Becky offered to help with carrying my father's plate from the servery to the table, which I much appreciated. My father did need the toilet and asked Katie who was very helpful towards to him, she explained to him where they were and offered to show him. We don't always experience such care and attention and thought that these wonderful ladies who are a valuable asset to your team need a big shout out and thank you.

    Everything was good apart from the guy changing the veg the cauliflower cheese on display had gone dry with no cheese we used the one behind as this was fresher When he saw us do this he snatched the serving spoon from my daughter giving a very grumpy look not saying a word. As we were paying and it wasn’t a freebie I felt I was justified not using the dried out veg but he clearly felt we should not Very bad customer service. Other than that all was good

    Everything was good front of house was welcoming and quick, waitress was friendly and was happy to help every time we needed something. Food was brilliant as per usual and warm! The only thing I could say is even though the staff are great they should smile a bit more especially the chef carving the meat sometimes they don’t look happy!

    19.50 for two standard carveries on a weekday. Considering the price of ubereats and all that, you can't go wrong. The veg, stuffing and mac and cheese were refilled just as we got there so great selection and all warm and tasty. Staff were lovely. Parking is a bit tight though so if you've got a big car you might have a hard job.

    Loved the visit as always, staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent, except no Lamb on offer (Again). Premises due to weather was unbearably hot, no air conditioning, so we were unable to finish our lovable meal in comfort and had to leave. Will visit again, when it is cooler.

    Food was nice, but it was very messy around the dishes. There was Mac + cheese in the carrots, stuffing in the peas! Gravy everywhere too. The staff were friendly though and service was quick. Decent prices for what you get seeing as you help yourself (except for the meat)

    Quick and friendly service. Meat, Yorkshire puddings, potatoes, and gravy on point. Other vegetables a quite plain - in particular the cauliflower cheese. Good overall value for money.

    It was much busier than I expected for a Monday night, so I was pleased I had booked! Despite this, we didn't have long to wait in the queue for the carvery and the selection was as good as a Sunday. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely my favourite Toby!

    Nice atmosphere. Went for all you can eat breakfast. Was pretty decent, very nice bacon. Shame they didn't have the Yorkshire puddings 😔 Tea coffee you can help yourself too along with the toaster for...toast! Entrance is in the back of building which confused me 🤔😄 Remember to add car registration number when you enter pub via a screen.

    Was 20 minutes late getting our table. Even though we arrived on time. When we arrived there was no seats available for us to sit at. The person with me has mobility issues. The food generally was good. And the staff were working hard. There was only one bitter on London pride that was flat

    We were welcomed warmly and seated at our set time. The food was delicious. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness. We were sat next to a vent that was full of dust and there were wires covered with electrical tape. But other than that, the experience was great.
