Clayhill Medical Practice

Medical center

😠 If this review even puts one patient of joining this practice then I’m happy with that. Honestly the most horrendous person I’ve ever spoken to is the Female GP here. After having my baby 3 months early and finally getting her home from hospital, my little girl became increasingly upset and unhappy.... People often mention appointment, time, told, call, appointments, called, doctor, waiting, minutes, phone,

If this review even puts one patient of joining this practice then I’m happy with that. Honestly the most horrendous person I’ve ever spoken to is the Female GP here. After having my baby 3 months early and finally getting her home from hospital, my little girl became increasingly upset and unhappy. We rang to speak to the GP twice and I was told “you chose to have a baby, it’s your problem when she cries” and she also laughed at me when I told her I thought something was wrong, also had no idea that my baby was premature until I asked “are you even looking at her notes?” when she then proceed to loudly sigh at me and asked why. After this I paid privately to get the problem looked into and my little girl had several things going on. I’ve asked the practice multiple times for details on how to make a formal complaint and have been ignored. If you can move practice, please do. Fryerns Medical Centre is wonderful and the doctors there are lovely. Just do not join this practice whatever you do! If I could give this 0 stars I would!

Shocked to say the least I will be going to PALS once full investigation is done. I will start with the receptionists sat there for over an hour having been booked in for a full medical with 2 appointments made . Turns out the 2nd appointment needed to be made some time after due to results needing to be analysed. I wasn't made aware until sitting for over an hour in the reception, I made 3 attempts to suggest I was still waiting after 30 minutes to the receptionist who failed until I just walked into the nurses room to ask what was going on and it was made clear that the 2nd appointment wasn't needed on that day and in fact it was to review my bloods . Having spoken to my neighbour who's been going here for 30+ years he also stated that its gone to a real bad place, which in turn made me and my family seek a proper practice with a GP as this one has the bedside manner of a hyena . After a full investigation has been made as to my possible slack diagnosis I will endeavour to add more after . And in addition my families notes also.

This surgery is going down hill you can never get appointment with the doctor they always say doctor will phone so you are waiting for a call with no time frame just sometime today. And when you do get a face to face appointment they have taken all of the chairs out off the waiting room so you could be standing around for a bit there excuse is because off covid 19 that's not a good enough reason to make you stand around. Some of the reception staff have no clue on what they are doing or talking about and a few others are good at what they do and really polite. We are now in June 2023 and they are still trying to enforce mask wearing where no where else does even the hospital you don't wear masks anymore.

Clay hill medical centre is the worst medical centre I have ever known The receptionists are so heartless I came in there for my appointment on time, but they kept me waiting on cue while they were having an irrelevant discussion with another lady that came in to book an appointment for herself and her daughter. After the discussion, has taken about 20 mins of my time waiting, they turned to me and said, you're late for your appointment. How annoying but most time, I protest. This should please stop. They said to me severally that I couldn't come in and book for appointment. I should call to book an appointment, but I still see them happily booking appointments for others on the desk. I feel it's because of my colour, which I consider racist behaviour. I have also called in severally to book or ask questions, but they will keep me on call for more than an hour without answering the calls, even when it's saying I am number one on the cue. Most times, I get off the phone. I don't know why heartless people are allowed to work in the healthcare system I have other friends that have got the same problem, and they have changed their Gp.from Yahoo Mail to iPhone

I have been going to this practice for 8 years now and I am so happy to be finally leaving. If it wasn't for the nurses I would have left sooner. In my years coming here I have seen more nurses go than should be normal, they either left due to the previous doctors Franks antics, poor pay, or poor treatment from the current doctor O. Frank was thankfully never my doctor, but he threw out an issue I raised with a nurse for no reason, saying I was either lying or over exaggerating. The practice opens at 8:30, I often see doctor O strolling in at past 11. They are never on time. As time progressed they kept getting nurses fresh out of school with little experience or knowledge of bedside manor, but they would improve (and then promptly leave). Doctor O often defers appointments she feels are beneath her without warning, I have seen her twice in all my years because of this and frankly I'm glad and those two times she was cold and dismissive, making me feel like a waste of her time. Some of the receptionists are nice, but others I have heard openly mocking patients that call after their call has ended which is highly unprofessional, especially within earshot of the waiting room. Not to mention that since covid happened, they forced people to wait outside in freezing or boiling temps and then when we were permitted back inside, there are about three chairs to fight between. Don't come here if you can help it.

Taking samples back and being asked did we request a sample? No just a random thought I had to take urine samples to a random surgery , Mis-diagnosis of an infection, stuck on unnecessary antibiotics now, panicked as told it was serious over phone, on hold at number 5 in queue for 8 minutes suggest any looking should find a different surgery.

This is without doubt the worst surgery I have ever been under. Rude staff, nurses don't listen and are completely disinterested in what you are saying and even if you ask to see a doctor you get sent to a nurse

If I could get them less than 1 star I would. I arrived 3 minutes late as there was an accident on the a13, I phoned them to let them know I would be slightly late and that I would try my best to arrive on time, I then arrived 3 minutes late to which I was told I would need to rebook for 2 weeks time. The worst part was that they even mentioned that the doctor was running behind.. so I would have had to wait for the doctor regardless which would have 100% been longer than 3 minutes. There has been times that I have waited over 40 minutes to be seen.

Ridiculous. My partner had a phone call appt booked, was never notified of the time and then they never called? Was able to check the appt time on the NHS app and it had been and gone. He called the following morning at 8am to rebook the appt and was number 1 for 30 mins, I then called using my phone and my number in the queue went down while he was still stuck at 1.... How are they able to ignore number 1 and answer other calls?? Makes no sense and is absolutely unfair.

They don't even deserve one star. Don't bother signing up to this GP. Receptionists are lazy and make any excuse not to sign you up. No one seems to be welcoming and they find it hard to crack a smile. Their systems need updating anyway as they still operate admin work like it is the 70s with paper forms. Why isn't there an online form to make things simpler? They should close down and make way for Knights Surgery who are superb!

I've called up to see a doctor was told no appointments was told to call 111 which I did they told me the practise has a duty of care to see me but they still refused call back 111 the lady said again to call them back and ask to speak to the manager or make a formal complaint I did this and then all of a sudden I had a nurses appointment available which I accepted it was checked out but then the pain still didn't go I was in agony called up again was given an appointment with the GP he but not in the morning at to wait until the afternoon so the GP she told me that I should have been seen straight away because it could have been appendicitis luckily the pills she gave me worked then my son called up and ask for an appointment he was refused an appointment because the pain he had wasn't there at the time I'm but he said that the pain comes and goes and he has an upset stomach and really need to see the GP as it's been going on for a 7-days he was refused an appointment because the receptionist said a that the pain wasn't there so there was no reason for him to see the GP who made it law that the receptionist has the decisions to give appointments to patients this is ridiculous I have nothing good to say about this practise is always been the same they always refuse appointments or they say they've never got an appointments it is not down to the receptionist to decide whether you need an appointment or not

Constantly misplacing our children's information, always giving conflicting information. Sent prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy if it was sent at all. Absolutely shocking

Just gone really down hill over the years at its worse now since Dr Frank left struggled to get appointments too many phone appointments that miss vital things, long cues on phones to be told you can't be heard no matter what phone provider you call from. Not being able to find my daughter on their records when called for a appointment. Referals for other kids just never going anywhere, follow up appointments you have to chase to getting appointments made that no one understands why they have been made calling for advice these days is pointless there is only one receptionist that seems to be able to do her job. I understand covid changed everything but this seems to have all gone crazy there's 6 chairs in the waiting room it's always very hot and your always waiting ages. Please don't go off to A and E on their say so with no paper work in hand we were told they had updated the system online once arrived at hospital they couldn't access anything said we should have been given a letter to explain 4 to 5 hours wasted at the hospital. If you have just moved to the area look around properly at other places there must be better out there.
