The staff that showed us to our table and took our orders were absolutely fantastic. Very polite and professional and done a fantastic job. The Chef that served us at the carvery was the stingiest man I have met in a while. I actually didn’t think it was possible to slice a piece of meat that thin. I asked for some turkey first and when I then also asked for some beef, he put a piece of the turkey back. I don’t think a meal that consists of 90% vegetables can honestly be called a carvery.

All good restaurant wise, parking was not, the parking spaces are far too close together. If you are going, I'd advise parking elsewhere My car was damaged due to the tight spaces. Which ruined what was a pleasant afternoon out.

Kathy or Cathy… what a LEGEND! She was so polite and friendly. Quick to get the drinks, the dessert order, the bill. And have a nice chat, whilst juggling looking after other tables. She has been there a couple times when I have gone. And you know what’s super about this lady… she is consistent. Amazing service. And the food was very nice too. The chef carving the meats also very friendly! Well done team Toby. You guys have got the service right. Keep doing what you are doing, it doesn’t go unnoticed!

shocking food even more shocking customer service . mate is vegan and had a mushroom pie that was obviously just chucked in the oven then couldn’t have any potato’s so had to pay 12.50 for some pie and a few carrots and peas then when we asked if she could get a discount as there was no other vegan options and they said they couldn’t do anything . we booked for 6.35 got there at around 6.25 and we were seated about 20 minutes later . waited ages for some mint sauce and it was basically water with a bit of mint . gravy was lumpy as well . turkey was dry and yorkshire’s were doughy basically raw . everyone come to mine i make a banging roast dinner and you won’t have to queue for 20 minutes . they also didn’t have any take away boxes … the star was for the lady who served us with rainbow bow and cute cat mask she was very lovely . other than that won’t be coming back again

Table was booked for 8pm when we got there we were very disappointed at the fact there was only 2 meets to choose from neither of us eat Turkey so was left with Lamb which was fine buy there was very little left the server was literally scraping it off the bone , next to no Mac n Cheese , No Yorkshire puddings , no mash , serving spoons were hot to touch , sausages were dry you could tell they had been there for hours !! Very very disappointed!! We were also left waiting to be served for at least 5 mins at the carvery they guy that eventually came out was nice but the manager then started moaning at him as he wasn't a server but was just trying to get us served

The Table Service is Fantastic but I was let down by the Quality of the Food. The Carvery meats are Dry, Roasted Vegetables are hard and normal Menu food is not up to the mark. The Roasted Potatoes and Vegetables were as hard as stones may be due to high temperature in the post cooking storage unit. Starters and Afters are Good. Good Parking space. Clean setting and Festive Ambience. Customer Service is Top class.

The restaurant is lovely and the service is very good. The food was bland, had no flavour, and was tasteless. The beef was not pink and the gammon was nothing special. The pork and lamb were not great - according to my friend. Bland veggies frozen-boiled. Cauliflower without cheese. We did enjoy the desserts. Shall I come back one day? I don't think so.

There’s one waitress in particular and I wish I knew her name but she is the best! She gets five stars for service! Always happy, smiling and helpful. The servers behind the food counter on the other hand my goodness - slow and miserable. The time it takes for them to carve those measly slivers of meat.we waited at the front of the queue for 10 mins before someone came out of the kitchen to carve. Eventually when they did come out one of the guys behind the food counter, young lad , came out to check the pot of sausages knocked a bowl off the top as it went hurtling towards one of my kids! Luckily my friend had quick fingers and caught it before anyone was hurt but the guy behind the counter said nothing. No sorry, no thanks - just stared like a buffoon. Food was great for 50% off but the gravy is tasteless and the yorkies were flaccid - they knew that though and placed three onto each plate instead of the usual amount. Lazy. Bottles of water at £3.30 a go is pretty steep. Wouldn’t come back unless there was another offer.

The food has completely fell off since lockdown, no flavour in the food, the drinks dispenser was horrible every option tasted like soda water, We did ask if this can be cleaned and just got told to go to the bar and get a drink instead. Which helps us but what about everyone else? The gravy was like water so 5 of us had to wait 10minutes before they could just add gravy granules to make it thicker. The service was great but i would not be rushing to come back here.

I was extremely disappointed with the service when I visited. I booked the breakfast with Santa for my children. There was hardly any food and Santa was nowhere to be seen whilst we were eating breakfast. He was in a separate back room. When we went in there, he was drinking a cup of coffee he had no energy to him or excitement. There was nothing really to be pleased with even the children were upset by Santa. It’s supposed to be magical but he was far from exciting. There was practically no food available. Everybody in the restaurant was complaining we was there before the close of breakfast, Multiple items were missing and the Yorkshire puddings were so flat there was no bread. There was no mushrooms. The beans were called the bacon was under cooked. I’ve never had such a terrible experience

Lovely service. Waitresses are lovely and friendly. Perfect roast! Manager in the place is approachable and greets with a smile.

Food is good and affordable. We have been there couple of times, the only issue is some staff are not polite when approaching the customers especially the old ones. These member of staff need further training on customer service on how to talk nicely when asking questions. Very disappointing.

We were able to sit at our pre-booked table within a few minutes of arriving, But had to wait until our waitress said it was our turn to queue for the carvery, It was very busy but didn't have to wait for long. All of the members of staff we spoke to were friendly & did everything they could to ensure we had a lovely meal.

Huge props to Sue, who made our (first ever) visit to Toby Carvery a memorable one. At first I thought they were skimping on the meat but the portion was perfect when we dug into it. We didn't come here expecting a fine dining experience but the horseradish sauce just about brought it there.

Toby Carvery The Crown 👑. Plenty of free onsite parking. Register your vehicle at the entrance. Bar area and separate restaurant, wheelchair access available. Very affordable and great food. We opted for the carvery, great selection of meats lamb pork gammon turkey and beef. Tonnes of vegetables and gravy and sauces etc. All drinks available at your table. The staff are 5 star. Very tentative and very polite. Great selection of deserts too. Can’t wait to visit again.

A very friendly welcome and had excellent service throughout. Darren was excellent. Very attentive without being intimidating. He was new to the Restaurant but we felt very special. The carvery was super excellent and very good value for the money. Will definitely book again. Thank you.

The welcome is great, I like the servers who have a smile and are ready to find a table for us. The staff are friendly. The wine is good and we enjoy the carvery. The restaurant gets hot even when it’s not full, and it would be nice to open a window. I do agree that it is hard to satisfy everyone as we prefer different temperatures.

Me and my Wife LOVE Toby's. The price to food quality plus nice surroundings and polite waitresses makes it the winning factor. The Toby's App rewards: "loyalty"..... a great incentive to return again and again! Prime time, queues can be long - not a surprise. Twice this has happened, when I ordered the Salmon Wellington @£9.49 the bill shows an additional vegetable carvery being added, the Salmon Wellington comes included with a carvery - this needs to be tweaked.

Cathy your employee was superb and immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable and we built up a great rapport with her. You need people like her to calm customers. The queues were horrendous with 1 chef serving management please take note.

Had a good first time at a Carvery. Served by an amazing waitress. Only downside was the heating was way too hot and my baby wasn't comfortable because of it.

I'm a big lover of pot roast food and this place really ticked all the boxes for affordable, group-centric dining, with a warm atmosphere and welcoming service. The food was satisfying and once again, very wallet-friendly, but definitely leaning towards the quantity side of the "quality vs. quantity" ratio. If you're looking for as much good food as you can eat however, then I definitely recommend this carvery.

Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious Roast Dinner at a very good price my friend was particularly impressed by the roast pork, I enjoyed the turkey and gammon loved the roast potatoes and parsnips the broccoli and the cauliflower cheese were good too.The peas and carrots were nice and fresh too. I had not visited this branch before and all the staff were very kind and helpful which is the reason I will go back to this branch when I am in this area which is not local to me. I will definitely try the Northfleet branch I liked the friendly relaxed family atmosphere.

Average restaurant food, although the turkey 🦃 was lovely 👌 (only meat with the red tractor 🚜 symbol) but the veg was questionable, some being undercooked, only in our opinion, but a good service from the staff👏. Atmosphere is a matter of taste really, it was lunchtime so reasonably quiet and relaxed. Overall, 3 and a half stars ⭐ is fair.

Staff are really nice, super friendly and good servers. Food always looks a bit dry under the heat lamps and buffet style always gets messy and slightly unappealing but as I said when I ate it. It tastes better than it looks and no need to get the king size, there is so much food and it's good value for money.

First time at Bromley Toby Carvery! Lovely looking pub! Very polite and accommodating staff! Hubby enjoyed the food and if he does it show how good the food was! Lovely atmosphere and def thumbs up from us both 👍

No riff-raffs - Pub is separate from the dining. - Traditional Toby menu so food is as expected - I went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t noisy. - Host was accommodating as we didn’t book a table in advance but was allowed to take a table in the bar section.

I went to eat at Toby Carvery Crown today for lunch and I was served by one of the waitresses Caroline. Her service was outstanding, and she made me and my family feel very welcome. She gave very good recommendations of desserts I could choose from and was very nice to my younger brother. It was a great experience with good food. I recommend it! Many thanks to Caroline for her service.

We popped in for lunch ordered the roast beef Yorkshire pudding wrap and the roast pork with apple sauce Yorkshire pudding wrap. Both were served with roast potatoes and we had a side order of pigs in blankets. Both wraps were very large, filled to the brim with meat and tasted delicious, they were so filling we did not have room for the potatoes (which were offered to be wrapped for us to take home), a very reasonable price of £5:49 for each wrap, the pricing wasn’t on the menu and we had to ask, it’s definitely worth a visit to enjoy these wraps.

Our waitress Cathy was excellent today. Always has a smile and lovely service. Food was very good as always. Happy Christmas to all the staff!!!

Having not been to a Toby for many years I'd forgotten how nice they were. The food was hot and very tasty, there was plenty of variety of meat and veg and even a few vegan options. The staff were efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was calm. I was very pleasantly surprised with what we paid for how well we ate. Would defo visit again.

I really liked the food....fast and quick easy to get. We had the profiteroles for dessert and it came out so quick. Excellent presentation aswell, not just thrown out on the plate. Loved it 😃

We had such a lovely experience here today! The staff was amazing, the waitress made sure everything was okay with our meal and was so polite and lovely. The staff serving the carvery was really friendly and even made us laugh a few times! Food was amazing and it was deffo great value too! I'd really wished I got the staff members names as they were fantastic!

Went Sunday with my family found it really busy being fathers day. Staff were amazing even looking after my motorbike helmet for me. Food was fantastic as was the service 😋

I went with family, the food was delicious, could have done with someone topping up the veg though, sweetcorn etc n the stuffing was solid, couldn't scoop any out. Otherwise service was quick n food hot n tasty. Our waitress was so friendly. Will definitely return there. ❤❤

The staff are friendly and the venue has a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Our waitress was personable and attentive. The staff on the carvery were friendly too. The food was fresh and well cooked. We were just in time for fresh yorkies and veg...we visited later on a Sunday when it was less busy.

Good- Friendly staff, hot food, quite tidy considering that they were so busy. Only negatives were my drinks glass was very hot because just out of dish washer so maybe they need more glasses to avoid this during busy periods. The pasta on veg section is weird choice in my opinion. Pasta with a roast ? Also would like to see another veg option eg Cabbage/parsnips/swede all seasonal. We did had carrots, cauliflower, green beans, peas.

Amazing meal with my Mum and her friends for Christmas. Great service Stephanie is a fabulous waitress!!! Took good care of me and was on the ball with my nut allergy concern! Great communication and very friendly! Will come back next time I'm down from the North xx

It goes without saying that with the 50% off meals it does help a lot of people at the moment actually get out for a meal with family or friends and catch up the food is always excellent so much to choose from, and you can always go back for more vegetables staff are great although sometimes they are shortstaffed, but they still stop and answer your questions and help you out. That would be the only improvement I could think of.

The staff were fantastic. Our waitress in particular was amazing. She was careful checking my dietary needs and double checking. I felt really safe eating there. The place was very crowded which is why I marked down the atmosphere.

Gill was our waitress, she was lovely. 2 of our party had been held up, but we ordered drinks, we thought we may have to start before they arrived, but Gill said it was okay to wait. Carvery was excellent, nicely cooked meat. Range of veg was excellent, Mac and cheese too! Roast potatoes were perfect! Puddings were all tasty, I had the aero mint balls with ice-cream in a Yorkshire pudding 😲 - it was so nice! Will definitely have that again. Gill was amazing, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble - with 11 of us to deal with, she had the patience of a saint!

Had an amazing meal tonight as always. The staff go out of their way for you. Stephanie for all the years we've had the pleasure of you being there, and making our night extra special each time. If you ever go anywhere else we will follow. 😄

I would grade the overall experience a 3.5 out off 5, but had to go with 4 stars as i wpuld probably go back. Food was served at a good temperature, meats were cooked really well, having had the turkey and beef, the turkey was not dry at all, so kudos where it's deserved. Desert came piping hot and quick, was probably a microwave job but extremely tasty. Staff were helpful, and I'm sure if there was any issues it would have been dealt with appropriately. On the downside, the Yorkshires were more like pancakes 🤣🤣 and the roast potatoes looked a bit sad. I couldn't eat the Yorkshire pudding as it was nowhere near as good as you'd expect, and was just soggy, the potatoes were nice to be fair, just presented a bit blah. Very good pricing, considering we had king size plates, drinks and dessert. Not put off and would definitely go back.

Warm and welcoming on first contact. Breakfast was fresh and abundant. Service put the perfect breakfast to shame based on how refreshingly nice they were, honestly sweethearts. And my phone died and I left my charger and they let me get it powered up so I could use my Apple Pay for the bus ride out. Cant recommend enough.

Was nice and warm. Staff were welcoming. Gave us comfy seats as I had my two elderly parents with us. Waitress was helpful but not in your face.

It was quite cramped and they ran out of potatoes but we were served by maame and she was so helpful and lovely she even stayed by us for about 10 minutes trying to sort out a voucher code because we couldn’t get it to work. So friendly and hopefully this feedback can be reported back to her as she really made up for the rest of the visit.

Wonderful waitress (Sorry I didn’t get her name!), glad you can add a tip when paying by card, only complaint there was no Pepsi max in the refill machine. Other than that everything great!
