Poor customer service, 'Bums on Seats' more important than important details. I also note that you only respond to positive comments, and have avoided interacting with the negative contributors. I have spoken to a member of staff, and informed them of my negative feelings, advising them that negative, but truthful feedback was forthcoming. I recently attended a consultation, which was booked via a call centre. Sadly the only thing missing from the consultation was the actual consultant, he was away on paternity leave, which is fine, but pointless being given a date to attend, when the consultant was not there! The offices (They call it a hospital) are plush 'Harley Street' premises, (Adjacent anyway) the staff were friendly and obliging, I was there about 2 hours in total, after being passed to several staff members, who conduct various tests. Finally you see an admin person who discusses price. It wasn't till I met the admin person that I learnt that I would have to return to actually see the surgeon for my true consultation. It had taken me 2 hours each way to get to the offices and back, and I was asked to do it all again. Not good enough sorry! In fact a real waste of my time, as I had taken a day off work to attend the first one. The experience was to have cost me in excess of £7000, which I was happy to pay. I will now take my business elsewhere, hopefully we can get everything agreed in one visit. Nice premises, nice staff, nice coffee, but lousy administration. You have been advised. I am over the moon by the results of my surgery. My vision is now perfect and the heeling process is going well. All the staff at the hospital were fantastic from the receptionist to the surgeon. They made me feel at ease and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend getting laser eye surgery done here. My only issue is when you want to speak to them on the phone it goes through to a central call centre who look after all the hospitals. I must have spoken to about 4/5 different people over my time and they were all bizarrely rude, not particularly helpful and had poor phone manners. If I could have just spoken directly to the Queen Anne Street hospital staff I would have had no issues as they were fantastic.

Amazing experience with Dr Mughal at Optical Express- I was not as happy with the Shaftesbury Avenue branch but thankfully had my procedure at Harley Street branch instead. He was really lovely, very well mannered and kept me at ease, went above and beyond being a surgeon when he salamed me and started my procedure with a quick prayer as he saw I was Muslim too! Really could not be happier with his work, still recovering from LASEK after having it done 7 days ago (pretty normal as it takes longer to heal than LASIK). Thank you so much!

I had a cyst cut out of my eye and a conjunctional fold and the nurses at Optegra in London were absolutely amazing they made me feel very relaxed and Alex Short did my operation, I didn’t feel a thing and now I feel 100% the after-care is amazing. I thought the service adn expertise was amazing UNTIL I have started getting migranes. I called the "help" line and they maintain it is not their problem. Not here for me now. Shame as up until I paid my money they were so nice! Ha!

Just arrived at the reception at 25 Queen anne St London and it looks like the guy who create my booking, booked me for BIRMINGHAM today! Unbelievable! They sent me away as did not have any space for the rest of the day for the consultation and couldn't fix the mistake. Do not want to imagine what could happen with the actual surgery.

Professional, clean and safe from the get go. Dr Hamid is very efficient and trust worthy. His skills in Eye care and surgery and the way he comes across is top of the line. Very enjoyable experience with Optegra... no issues. Would recommend. Don’t bother going anywhere else. This is a decision you won’t regret. I also walk past my opticians and laugh :D ShoutOut to Dr Hamid and his team for a life changing experience.

I have recently had LASIK treatment at Optegra. I was extremely nervous about the whole procedure but the staff there were so reassuring and one of the nurses even held my hand during the surgery. Dr Alex Shortt was brilliant, talking me through each stage to keep me calm. Super quick procedure and my eyes are healing up so nicely with almost all discomfort cleared up by the second day. Would definitely recommend!

Not great there are 100s of these individuals and companies that do this surgery both in the UK and globally - next! I'm going abroad to get it done definitely would get a better customer service experience. Glad I did not pay anything.

4 years ago, I came for a laser eye surgery consultation and then bottled - 12 months ago I made the decision to get it done, getting the procedure completed 3 months later. All the staff are very professional, diligent and not pushy, they answer questions and are really open. I couldn’t be happier with my vision - I would recommend Optegra to my nearest and dearest. From the moment I arrived, I was looked after in a friendly and professional manner. Naturally I was nervous as most are. I’m normally a good patient having undergone knee replacement surgery under a spinal block. But eyes are sinething rise. I had not need to worry, the surgery was quick and totally painless. Today, through my right eye the World looks different, it’s in Technicolor. I never realised how much my sight had been affected by a cataract. I can’t wait to have my left eye done too. Very professional and friendly. From the moment I arrived I was looked after very well. Had lens exchange surgery which took about 20 minutes. Had blurry eyes after surgery, but after having a nap when I got home my eyes were 50% better. 2 days later they were back to normal. Just the drops to do now for 4 weeks.

Had LASIK eye surgery last week with Amir Hamid and honestly could not recommend him more as a surgeon. Such a lovely man and so reassuring throughout all of the procedure! Have been contemplating laser for so long and am so glad I chose to have it done at Optegra! All of the staff are brilliant

I did my smile surgery here on 22nd June 2023 and couldn’t be happier. A little bit about my experience: I arrived for my appointment and, after being welcomed and directed downstairs by a receptionist, a nurse gave me the after care drops and explained me how to use them. She also offered me a pill of Valium to relax(optional). After that, a nice nurse walked me to a little room where I waited for the surgery to start. The smiley surgeon (Amir Hamid) came briefly to meet me and ask if I had questions. Once in the operation room, the surgery was super fast (probably 10 minutes) and absolutely pain free. As soon as I opened my eyes, my vision was very blurred, which is completely normal. Straight after that, I called an Uber home as I didn’t have to wait there any longer. During my journey home, my eyes felt dry and burning and vision was still blurred. Once home, I had a nap and when I woke up my vision was already better and the blurry halved. The day after, I could see almost perfectly and I went for my check up. Everything was going well a part from my eyes being a bit dry - I have been recommend to use my lubricant drops more often. After three weeks I can see almost perfectly and I don’t have any side effects or complications. I highly recommend this clinic and Amir Hamid as a surgeon.

I had LASIK eye surgery here 12 months ago. I initially went in thinking I had to pay more because of my stigmatism. However they were not shy of telling me that it was not needed and so I ended up paying lower than I had planned. The surgery was very swift and the after care is also very good. I’m pleased to say that I now have better than 20:20 vision and have since been discharged. I strongly recommend Dr. Short.
