Avoid this shop. Be careful if you go to Boots Opticians in Bexleyheath. They are franchised. They do not provide the same service as other Boots Opticians will. They may mislead you to get you booked in but fail to provide the service as agreed. I booked an appointment with a SMART EMPLOYEE EYE CARE (SEE) voucher which entitles me a free eye test and a free pair of VDU glasses. After they done the eye test and then told me I would not have a free pair of VDU glasses. They tried to persuade me to buy one from one of their expensive ranges. After a lengthy conversation, the manager told me their SEE contract had been terminated. If they had told me when I booked the appointment l would have gone somewhere else. They wasted my time and money. Be careful, they may trick you for the sake of selling you some expensive glasses. Avoid them.

Fantastic service at Boots Opticians Bexleyheath. Testing and fitting services all really efficient and helped me get a new type of glasses to help with laptop/computer use better, was getting lots of headaches but not since I got new glasses. All staff were really friendly and helpful. High recommend.

Not a great experience. Boots Bexleyheath. Polish woman rushed me to choosing my new glasses. My eyes don't like the prescription with bowl effect and poor closeup vision. Went back for second option but older English woman not interested just fobbed me off. Since been to specsavers Crayford. they understood my problems without any complications and issued me a new prescription for half the cost too.

Avoid if at all possible. Very aggressive upselling, and after spending Ā£535 on one pare of glasses. Expensive frames, compressed lenses, blue light protection, etc. These fell apart in only four months, I had to go to Vision Express, to get assistance. They fixed the glasses, free of charge, in spite of the fact that I hadnā€™t bought the glasses from them.

I took my son for myopia spectacles and contact lenses fitting. Wendy was amazing with my 8 year old son. She was very patient and thorough. Mehul our optician on the day was also very professional, made my son and I feel at ease and cracked a few jokes. Overall a very good visit with all of the rest of the staff being very friendly and smiles all round! Excellent customer service! We will be back soon, Thank you!

Came in to collect my prescription sunglasses and was helped by Linda. Linda was extremely helpful and attentive. I wasnā€™t 100% on the lenses of sunglasses due to the thickness of my prescription. However, Linda took us through the different options of what could be done and was really helpful. I decided to stick with the original lenses due to Lindaā€™s advice. So lovely and helpful and we left happy after being so uncertain. Thank youšŸ˜Š

I booked an appointment an hour before arrival. The lady who fitted my glasses was a trainee but was amazing. She showed me the product, explained why glasses were re-adjusted and helpful overall. Definitely a pass!!

After the eye examination, be careful not to fall into the trap they sell. They just want you to pay for something at an expensive price and will not help you choose something that is suitable for you. When you pay the bill, you will find that you are not in opticians , they just want to sell you expensive things.

Friendly, welcoming and really helpful. Myself and my husband had a routine eye exam provided by Diana, she took care to ensure she triple checked my eye test. Everything went smoothly from arrival to registration and testing. The optician we saw, Dr Mehul could not have been more pleasant, patient, helpful and informative.I felt he went past the call of duty to explain things to us, and was exceedingly generous with the time allocated. They also have been very helpful in finding the right choice for my husband glasses, and lenses! We came away with a really good feeling, and we truly recommend this place!

The worst opticians I've ever been to! They got the prescription really, really wrong and then tried to fob me off and gaslight me, saying it was my imagination and that I just needed to get used to it, and refused another eye test to check the prescription. Got a second eye test at another opticians (which was much more thorough) that confirmed boots had got it wrong. Went back to boots with the result from the other optician, and only then would they do another test and change the lenses in the glasses! Absolutely disgusting customer service! Not even the offer to reimburse me for the wasted time, wasted money on the eye test at another opticians, nothing. Additionally, the optician I went to the get the second opinion said he didn't even think I needed glasses yet, and that boots obviously just wanted to sell me a Ā£200 pair of unnecessary glasses, and I agree with him.

Your customer service is neither personal or professional. Patients records aren't checked for simple information. An appointment check phone call is good until it is used as a sales pitch for a better eye test and being asked if I had used the Bexleyheath store before, when I have used it for over 5 years, is very Impersonal. I was asked if I has glaucoma by 3 staff. Nice to check, but irritating. Finally I should not been asked to pay for my eye test, but I was. I have been on your contract lense scheme for years. This must be on my record. Your staff should have checked. I've been happier.

The eye test was very professional with some explanation given about the reason for various tests. When it came to choosing new frames the range of prices and type of frames was fully discussed and the final price explained. All staff were very pleasant ad helpful

My Wife had an eye test in October and ordered 2 pairs of glasses that were measured by Amrinder, when she went to collect them she ordered a third pair (3rd pair same as a pair previously owned glasses). the two original ordered pair were fitted and seemed a perfect fit. after wearing them for a day she could not see out of the left lens. She went back to Boots Bexleyheath and spoke to Jason, after checking he confirmed that the measurements were wrong, the glasses were then adjusted by bending the left side of the frame out, again She wore them for a day and this time one pair was so bad it was marking her right cheek (the adjustment had pushed the left side lens out and the right lens in toward her cheek) and the other pair had the same problem. She again went back to boots and was offered to pick two different pairs and exchange them but was advised that she should pick a plastic frame as her prescription shouldn't be in a metal frame. (which she did) and waited until they arrived to collect them. Both new pairs arrived and were fitted by Rosemary, Again another problem (they kept raising\pushing toward the right), after numerous visits the problem didn't get resolved and at one stage my wife's vision was so bad that she was in tears and unable to wear her new glasses at all. the 3rd pair had been fitted so bad that it was marking the back of her ear (rub mark on back of right ear was weeping). we again went back to boots and the 3rd pair were adjusted (their fine now) but after explaining the problem with the other two (both still pushing to the right and one temple arm cracked from previous adjustment) was told nothing can be done with them and offered a choice to pick new glasses "AGAIN" but only one pair at a time (so almost a month to get both pairs). my wife chose to ask for a refund (and was told perhaps that's best due to the continuing issues and then you'll have the money to get your glasses somewhere else and we can't be blamed for damaging anymore) (which is surprising as the 3rd pair are fine) so why couldn't they fit the new glasses!!. I would say that Jason bent over backwards to try help and bears no blame. on average my wife and myself spend around Ā£1500.00 on glasses every 2 years don't think Bexleyheath will be getting our business anymore.

I live in Thurrock Essex but I went to this opticians in lock down as I couldnā€™t get an appointment at my local opticians in Lakeside, I just found I preferred it at the Bexleyheath branch to where I had been going before as I found that my old opticians were always changing my prescription every visit so I had to always buy glasses every year & was always getting me to buy expensive products for my eyes that didnā€™t work & there were times they changed my prescription where my eyes felt strained but they do not do that in this branch they only change your prescription if you need it, I would rather drive there which doesnā€™t take long but is worth it & my parents live near there so I can pop in & see them as well so to me itā€™s not a problem coming here, I would recommend this opticians as they are very helpful & professional.

I don't even want to give them 1 star. I wish I didnā€™t choose Boots Opticians Bexleyheath. I booked an appointment for free contact lenses and assessment. Here is my awful experiences in there; - I was asked to come 10 mins before the actual appointment, which was no problem, but waited for 15mins to start (why I needed to come early?) - All the assessment was OK, when I met optician, he said " I need to buy a glasses today because my current glasses isn't good enough to use". I didnā€™t really think I need to buy a glasses, so I said " understand that, but no intension to buy a glasses today". A few times back in forth, finally he said OK, but strongly recommended which is fine, but I started to feel uncomfortable as they pushed me to buy a glasses at the "free" contact lenses assessment. - After with the optician, a lady who is probably in 60s, again said to me "you need to buy a glasses today". I said " no, I have no intention to buy today, I didnā€™t plan to buy a glasses, just wanted to try contact lenses". Her attitude was horrible looked at me and my husband very bad, basically said because I am not a first-time customer to use contact lenses (I haven't been used it over 25 years, only tried few times in my home country, not even in this country!) if you won't buy a glasses, and not a "first-time" customer, they will charge me Ā£50 the next time appointment (when I have to pick up my trial contact lenses). Never mentioned anywhere about Ā£50 charge when I booked the assessment via Online. - I really felt uncomfortable, again said No, I won't pay, and never been mentioned about cost even they called me the day before my booking to make sure my attendance. I said I cancel my free trial for contact lenses if you will force me to pay Ā£50 at next appointment. Then she said, if I cancel this process, they will charge Ā£50 today (really?) - I firmly refused to pay Ā£50, she went to backside (I guess spoke to her manager?) and come back "OK we won't charge Ā£50 but will charge Ā£29.50 for eye test" I didnā€™t understand why they charge Ā£29.50 for eye test instead, I came for FREE assessment & contact lenses trial. Absolutely ridiculous, she wasn't happy about my claim, ironically said "Nothing is free!!". terrible attitude, actually very sad as I feel they initially try to catch people for misleading "FREE" advert, then try to grab money as much as possible. I didnā€™t agree with her at all but wanted to leave the store as soon as possible, so agree to pay Ā£29.50. but requested to provide all my eye test results. She brought my test results, I asked where is my contact lenses assessment? She said ā€œwe canā€™t provide you the contact lenses assessment as you stop the subscription process. Only the eye test for glassesā€ They were supposed to assessed my eyes for contact lenses, I didnā€™t ask them to assess for glasses, why they canā€™t provide the right data for me? Probably because they wanted me to buy a glasses in the first place! I never ever step into Boots opticians never again.

Visited Boots Opticians last week and received excellent customer service by Jason He took the time to listen to my problem. We discussed the option available to myself and the steps that needed to be organised to resolve my issue. Thanks again for excellent customer Jason. I will definitely be using Bexleyheath Branch again.

I have been to Bexleyheath branch for two years running now and the owner, Mehul, is rude and not friendly at all. He rushes through the examinations and even started texting on his phone and taking calls whilst completing the eye test. Last year, I chose my glasses, ordered them and booked an appointment to collect them a week later. When I then turned up at the given appointment I was told that the glasses were not there and also that they were no longer sold! I had no phone call to tell me this. The ladies on the shopfloor were very helpful and sorted this all for me. This year for my eye test, I tried again and was met with the same issues! Mehul was again very rude and appointment was rushed again. I chose my new glasses and came to collect them a week or so later. When I arrived, the glasses they gave me were not the ones I had ordered! The lady helping me was very apologetic and gave me the frames from the shelf for now with my lenses in and she said she would order me the correct ones. I noticed that my lenses had quite a bad crack in them, Pprobably due to them swapping the frames. When I came back to collect my correct pair of glasses, I made them aware of the crack and the man at the desk said he would sort this. After waiting for him to swap the frames, I took the glasses home only to notice that the crack is still there and he didn't even mention anything about not being able to fix it or my options for what can be done, didnt say anything at all! I am so dissapointed with the service, having been a customer with boots for years and also being on their contact lens reward scheme, the service is appalling! I will not be going back to this branch.

I am mostly very pleased with the quick and friendly service I received in this store. This is not my usual opticians but they were very helpful in getting me a next day appointment. The trainee gentleman at the till was very friendly and helpful but I have to say the senior (as it said on her badge) lady standing next to him was so terribly rude to her colleague in front of me. She spoke to this man like a bit of rubbish and was very condescending all over some screwed up receipts; it left me feeling very uncomfortable and sorry for the man. She totally could have waited until I had left to have a chat about the ā€œimportanceā€ of these receipts rather than reprimand him in front of customers. She was very unpleasant so would just like to say thank you to the gent that served me.

Very pleasant experience at the Boots Bexleyheath branch today. Staff were so friendly and helpful and did not have to wait. The staff took time to explain everything fully and had great all-around customer service. I bought a blue Gucci frame.

We visited this practise, especially from Croydon, for my sons eye test and health check. Very professionally operated optician service to our satisfaction. Amazingly talented and brilliant Optometrist Mr. Mehul Patel, such a knowledgeable person who gave us enough time and advise for vision correction. They have all high standard equipments and offer a wide range of services.

My whole family have been using Boots opticians for many years and we always have first class service from Mr Patel and all his staff. They have the most up to date equipment to ensure you eye tests pick up any issues. The staff always remember us and offer a very personal service, nothing is too much trouble. They offer a wide variety of frames in varying budgets. They keep you up to date as to when your glasses will be arriving and ensure they are the perfect fit and everything is well before you leave. I wouldnā€™t go anywhere else and would recommend to anyone.

Not always had the best customer experience with this branch but after some deterioration in my vision I had to go back for a follow up appointment (1st appointment left me very confused and scared) The second appointment was with Daksha and Rosemary and couldnā€™t have been better, Daksha is amazing, reassuring and really took a lot of time to explain everything to me, I left feeling very looked after and will always ask for my appointments to be with this amazing lady. Rosemary was so knowledgeable (& honest!) with my choice of glasses and wasnā€™t in the business of encouraging me to buy the most expensive frames ! I know have full confidence that my eye care is good - thank you so much Daksha and Rosemary for your patience and reassurance xx

This opticians came highly recommended for Myopic conditions in young children. We experienced some questionable experiences from other well knowns tried in the past. The recommendation did not disappoint. The booking process was simple, efficient & accompanied with excellent pre-appointment communication. The location was excellent. easy to find with ample parking - very convenient! We found the entire team extremely professional, knowledgeable and ready to help with any question, regardless of complexity. We found them extremely thorough & patient with our little one ensuring a comfortable and a stress free environment for the test for maximum accuracy. Mehul was fantastic, thank you. The time you spent explaining all the technicals was greatly appreciated. Thank you Wendy for going the extra mile and spending the time & sharing your wealth of experience, greatly appreciated. A very friendly and professional team at Bexleyheath Boots Opticians. Our regular, thanks to Mehul and his team.

My whole family have been going to Boots Opticians in Bexleyheath for a good few years now. They have always delivered, from great customer care and professionalism to carrying out thorough checks using the latest technology. It inspires confidence in me to know that Mehul and his team of optometrists and staff have special training and qualifications to recognise, treat and know when to refer conditions picked from scans and examinations. I highly recommend this opticians as your eyesight is one thing that cannot be replaced!

Nice and patient optometrist but very rude sales man. The sales man will push you to buy expensive glasses by ā€œhidingā€ the other available and cheaper options to you. Be careful when you go there.

My experience at Boots opticians in Bexleyheath shopping Center could not have been better. From the moment I arrived for my appointment the process was smooth and professional. Mehul has built a good team within the store. The reason for my review today is due to the exceptional service I received from the very knowledgable Linda. Linda is not only what is expected of a member of staff in such as being happy and polite but her professionalism went way beyond that. Lindaā€™s expert advice assisted me in selecting the correct style of frame and Lenā€™s protection to suit my requirements and provided me with valuable information of other glasses on the market that can assist with my sporting activities. Linda is a valuable asset to Mehul and the team, keep up the great service.

Been going to boots opticians for years all over the country as Iā€™ve moved a lot. I booked an appointment here at bexley about a week ago expecting the same service. Firstly they called me 3 different times to ask the same pre screening questions. Once is enough, no? Then when I got there I followed google maps which took me to Barclays Bank. You may think this is a google mistake but as I later found out this is a franchise so they can create a google account and correct this. Also, if you know the map is wrong after someone telling you they are new to the area surely youā€™d give directions? Needless to say I was 20 mins late after walking in circles. They had a sign outside with 6 different times that were currently free for eye tests but when I went in and explained the situation they said simply I had to rebook. I asked if I could do that there and they said yes (reluctantly). I asked for the next available appointment which they told me was on the 20th. Again I was asked the same pre screening questions, my name, DOB etc - surely the system should know Iā€™ve been through this 3 times!?! Iā€™ve just left and gone online and found an appointment for the 15th. I asked why it said there were free spaces outside and the lady just said ā€˜no you canā€™t book thatā€™ ā€¦ weird. She saw my broken glasses in my hand and asked if she could help to fix them. She took them and tried to force the arm back on upside down before saying ā€˜nope theyā€™re brokenā€™ - at this point I wondered if I was being pranked. My final ask was to buy some all in one lens solution as the bottle I had with me was low and they tried to sell me the Seline one and assured me itā€™s the same one and only relented when I said Iā€™ve been using this solution since I was 12. Iā€™m 28 now - I know what solution I use, and itā€™s also in your hand right now. Spot the difference. Needless to say Iā€™m dissatisfied.

As always professional, pleasant and polite, as always my only gripe is the same as other opticians too many designer frames that cost way too much rather than home brand designs for reasonable prices. This however has become industry standard and does not impact on the brilliant and essential service boots continue to provide even out pacing Specsavers for customer care and interaction.
