The surgery is overcrowded with elderly, whenever everyone to make an appointment is almost impossible. When I see any doctor for my kids. Majority are in experience and asking me for advice and almost every time. No diagnosis no proper treatment in this scenario telling me to go and drink water. This has been a few time for the Miss diagnosis to put my five years old and life-threatening. That’s why I am changing my GP

I have just recieved a text inviting me to a health and well-being event TOMORROW!!!!!! Most people plan their lives and can’t drop everything to attend such an event. I find it really upsetting that your doctors are not there anymore to help when needed but can’t spare an afternoon to lecture us on things we probably already know. Not only that but you are not organised enough to tell us in advance so we can attend should we want to. Please get your priorities right. We need to be able to get a doctors appointment easily, without waiting on the phone for 20 minutes and having to re- dial many times before getting through. We need you to follow up after operations etc, not make the patient do all the work when they are Ill. we’d like a personal service where you can talk to a doctor who knows you. Highview surgery used to be an efficient caring immediate service. Now you are never there for us, yet think you have time to run health and well-being afternoons. I am disgusted. Angela Samways

if i could give zero i gladly would, this surgery has gone down hill in recent years, since dr ritchie and some of the doctors on her watch either retired or moved on the doctors now have no understanding of patient needs and are more interested in telling you oh theres a shortage in antibiotics, penicillen, go home take paracetamol and keep warm, i came out of my warm home to attend appointment which was a waste of time with my mother in law, kept pleading how unwell she was, on deaf ears, 2 days later she was in hospital, what can i say, welcome to 21st century britain, as for the locoms please do not get me started, have now moved to another practice, come on highview you were once the pride of our local area, shame

Been with the surgery for years and it was great but now it’s a joke. There’s never any appointments even when you call up at 8am, I couldn’t even get a telephone consultation with a doctor and I’ve been ill for over a week. When I did eventually get to see the in house paramedic in person I was told I couldn’t be given anything and to continue taking pain killers though I had made it clear I had been doing that all week. It’s so ridiculous to the point where my own work don’t even believe that the practice would not have prescribed me anti biotic at this point. When you do go there you can’t book an appointment for the future, they tell you to just come up at 8am and wait in the surgery. Now having to go to a walk in centre in hope that somebody can help me

I rarely visit surgery. Feeling unwell last few days I checked my blood pressure at home and the NHS site said it was high and I should get it checked by doctor asap. Phoned surgery who said I must ring 8am to get appt. I explained I was worried as I live alone and was due to go on holiday Saturday. But told nothing they could do. I already take BP meds so should I just increase them? Never left bad feedback before but shocked at the poor service I got today.

I have been with this surgery for over 6 years and I have never had any issues. Whenever I need an appointment I have been able to get one for that day or in the next few days. They are also prompt with blood tests and referrals.

I have been suffering with a skin condition. Doctor advised using Aveno. I kept going back, even went to an emergency out of hours doctor as my skin was getting worse and peeling off my face. I was given courses of steroids. Not one doctor thought to say I may be having an allergic reaction to aveno cream. It’s taken me hundreds of pounds to go privately to get the help I needed. Please question the doctors as they don’t always know what they are advising is the best for you. Shortness of breath and an anaphylactic episode and months of suffering all because my gp told me he couldn’t help me and to use aveno cream brought from a supermarket. I hope the doctor who told me to use this realises that some people can’t use it and is careful the advise he gives to others.

I was seen recently and was very happy with the surgery overall. Got an appointment on the day which I booked online and was impressed with the doctors care in taking the time to listen to me.

I am grateful i was able to be seen. I’m a young man and been suffering with constipation for most of my life. Which has resulted in some complications. It wasn’t easy and quite embarrassing to see a dr about this however I had to man up. I wasn’t made to feel at ease to comfortable, if I knew I would of felt how I did after coming out, I would of probably not gone to see the dr. Atleast I kind of have a rough idea of how severe my situation is however the experience wasn’t very pleasant unfortunately.

Physicians assistant was rude and dismissive. Didn't even bother to look me in the eye, didn't explain what he was doing at all, told me to leave the room because he had other patients even though he hadnt addressed the problems I came in for. Useless.

Receptionists can be very rude. Depends on who answers the phone. Some of them are nice, some are nasty
