This is the place to go! The vibe, the food, the staff, the decor everything is to die for. Would highly recommend to anyone going in for a coffee or for a vibrant breakfast or lunch! Best Indian food I have ever eaten!

Lovely vegan/ vegetarian cafe in Bakewell. I am not a vegetarian but I left feeling satisfied. The customer service was excellent, the staff were very friendly. The cafe was much larger than I thought, with seating at various levels and the interior was very pretty. The cafe was packed for a Sunday, and no wonder with such a great selection of food, which is presented beautifully and such friendly staff on hand. I will definitely be returning when I'm next in the area.

We visited last weekend and fell in love with this place! Top of the list is the food, which was absolutely delicious, blending hearty meals with nourishing ingredients. The interior is really fun and tranquil, with the focus clearly being on 'togetherness' as there are books and board games scattered around for customer use. The staff were superb, friendly and welcoming. It's super family friendly. Will definitely be coming back to Bakewell (or Buxton) just to eat here.

We chose 'If Indians did it' breakfast and a dirty chai. Nicely presented and extremely tasty and filling. Nice cheerful staff and decent music. Really enjoyed our visit.

One of the best coffee lounges I’ve visited, great black coffee of good quality. A good selection of light bites in a very clean environment. There was additional seating upstairs. Lastly the staff were welcoming friendly and accommodating.

Delicious food and friendly welcoming staff. I had the indian bratwurst which was tasty but proved messy to eat. There looked to be a selection of board games if you're so inclined. My only quibble would be they didn't look to serve lassis to accompany the food.

By far the most amazing indian fusion vegetarian vegan place I’ve tried. Samosa chat is a must try. Indian rice bowl was also scrumptious. Reasonably priced and worth every penny.

Do not miss this place! 3 visits in less than 24hrs - twice for takeaway coffee (and some delectable cakes) and once for a brilliant brunch (Dishoom who?! That Indian breakfast was another level!), bursting with flavour. The staff are nothing short of outstanding, too, bringing treats over for our pooch! Dog friendly, vegan friendly, and friendly overall! This place was a lovely change-up from the usual pub grub in Bakewell which made for a lovely change when staying here over a few days! We’ll be singing your praises to anyone that mentions visiting Bakewell.

We had the most amazing brunch here today. My husband and I are both vegan and this place really impressed. The food was delicious and the team were very welcoming. It’s a must stop for anyone visiting the area looking for extremely tasty food, very good portions at a very reasonable price.

This was my first time back in Bakewell for six months and I was delighted to discover a new place. It is honestly so lovely, the decor is beautiful, the food is unique and tasty and the range of drinks is great. I really enjoyed everything I tried and the staff were accommodating for food intolerances and adapted the drinks to our taste too.

Amazing zen atmosphere! Great alternative to usual cafe’s around Bakewell. Coffee menu is exquisite and extremely varied. Food was fresh, fragrant and fantastic! And the best part? It’s very affordable and generous in good portions! I loved it so much I went back twice!

Dog friendly and people friendly place! We had such a lovely time here, there were so many vegan options for cakes, breakfasts and general dishes. Also our dog was treated with some biscuits! Will be recommending this place, thanks to the staff for being so welcoming!

Must go to! Absolute gem! Amazing food and drinks really well priced. Such a nice atmosphere! Aircon, games, outside seats and all the extra touches. Community feel and generosity of all The Chakra Lounge restaurants is unmatched ❤️ And the food really is phenomenal 😋

I was a little apprehensive at first as I was unsure of the menu, however I needn't have been worried. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly and the whole place was lovely. Definitely decorated for 'the Gram' but I'm ok with that! Thank you for an enjoyable breakfast (and some fab photos)

Calm atmosphere. There was a long wait for food but the hope was it would be fresh and when it did come it certainly was. I had the Desi Indian Bowl with Bombay nachos. The perfect mixture of spices and both were extremely tasty. Bowl was filling. Lovely view out into Bakewell town when sitting downstairs. Answered my dietary questions online which was helpful and encouraging.

Great venue in a lovely location, very comfortable and inviting. The vegan food is extremely tasty, freshly prepared, imaginative and well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very competitively priced. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Thank you!

My experience at Charka Lounge was exceptional! We tried the Desi Indian bowl and the vegan pulled pork open sandwich, and they were both incredibly delicious and full of flavor. It's not often you find such unique and mouthwatering dishes in Bakewell. Beyond the scrumptious food, the restaurant itself is impressively clean and well-maintained. Charka Lounge offers a refreshing and distinct dining experience that sets it apart from the rest. If you're looking for something different and delightful in Bakewell, I highly recommend giving Charka Lounge a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Lovely friendly staff, who were happy to help and accommodate dietary requirements. Great vibe and decor was fab! Comfy, cosy and delicious food. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, one of the best vegan ones I’ve had! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Bakewell

Very welcoming! The menu looked great and they had a great selection of vegan cakes. We got the nachos and hot dog and they were just what we needed after a long walk! Perfectly on route on our Mensal Trail loop too! Great to have so many vegan options in Bakewell!
