Be aware that any reviews over 6 mo old are for the previous ownership/dentist who is no longer there. It’s really shady that Google is keeping all reviews from Dr Macks up when this is not the same practice- very misleading would’ve given Dr Macks 10/5 stars. The hygienists are still great (though Sandy retired and she was AWESOME), front desk are still polite and helpful. Dr Winthrop? Northrop? is okay but the avoid the red haired dentist at all costs. He definitely does not have the same vibe as Dr Macks- doesn’t listen, impatient, zero bedside manner, made zero effort to introduce himself or listen to me and my concerns. Dr Macks knew all of his patients and always took a moment to talk and make you feel welcome. Those days are gone. I still remember my first appointment with Dr Macks 10 years ago- he introduced himself and asked questions and helped me feel more relaxed- and then he continued that at every appointment. This guy who doesn’t even show up as a provider on the website and can’t be bothered to tell you his name has one goal- flipping rooms (how quickly can he finish with you and move on to the next).

Dr.Macks and the team are really amazing with me and my kids, they treat them wonderfully. They have warm water in their chair which is SO great for sensitive teeth. Dr. Macks gives a really great shot. I hate getting them, but if I have to he’s the one I want doing it. They are Trans and LGBTQ friendly, their use of pronouns was perfection. The staff is happy, they like where they work and it shows. I recommend this practice to everyone I know. If you don’t live close, it’s worth the drive.

The thought of a dental visit often sends my nerves into overdrive, yet the team at Dr. Northrup's office manages to ease that tension. At the reception, Sabrina and Deb always greet you with warmth and friendliness. In the care of Dr. Northrup, Belinda, and Kelly, patience, kindness, and compassion are always part of the treatment plan, making accommodations for even the most anxious patients like myself. Despite a recent snag with a crown that necessitated four additional visits, their professional handling of the situation ensured my return each time. While my dental anxieties persist, my endorsements for Dr. Northrup and his team do as well — wholeheartedly.

I’ve been going to Dr.Macks since 1985 and he has always been a wonderful dentist who really cares about his patients. Recently he’s changed the name of his business and has added new dentists, office staff and assistants yet the utmost care and and excellent service has remained the best. I would highly recommend One Dental Tacoma.

All about the money now not the patience. After over twenty years of going there my family is finding a new dentist office. Dr. Mack’s was the best, the people taking over his practice are not.

Brought both my kiddos in for cleanings and exams. I had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The staff was very timely and attentive to my children’s needs. Top-notch cleanliness and technology. I met several of the dentists and they all seemed very genuine and friendly!

We have been coming to this dentist office since 2003 and have always received great care. The staff are always professional and compassionate. We travel 20 miles each way but it is well worth the drive.

I have a special spot for the staff at One Dental. I came to them with fear and anxiety, but each member of the team took time to listen and learn where that came from.. I have had the misfortune of a broken tooth, the need for multiple cleanings and a crown however I felt cared for, heard and understood the entire way! I have a better understanding of how important overall mouth hygiene can be! Patient care and good customer service will keep me coming back!
