Well maintained recreational area. Frisbee golf, volleyball, kayaking, fishing, softball, baseball, hiking, biking, and much more. This is a great place to enjoy being outside. Take the family or get some alone time. Very easy to access for the Jefferson City population. Some of the best single track mountain bike trails I've ridden in the state. As a recent beginner in learning to sail this is a great place to try it out. The Capitol City Sailing Association has friendly and enthusiastic members to show you the ropes (lines).

I love Binder Park so much. The lake is pretty and there are a lot of sporting areas. They also have a good disc golf course. This downright magical picture of the swan family( look for the 2 babies!!) is OC that I shot with a filter(night mode) on my camera phone just off the bank. That is not the sun, it is the moon. Just a beautiful place to visit and spend time.

This place is ONLY 15 minutes from my home and such a tranquil place. It so reminds me of home TEXAS...But with its on Missouri style. Just an amazing place for a day long hime or just a 30 min lunch spot to defuse...

The crappie were biting the day we were there. Nice place to bank fish and picnic!

It's a decent large city "lake" near Jeff City, Mo for coming out to relax and look at some water and trees. For fishing, it's not really worth the effort. Over the last 10+ years I've visited and fished from the banks(fly, spinning rod and baitcaster from the docks) as well as kayak fishing. The lake itself has gotten more and more cluttered with trash (come on local fisherman!), snot and lilly's. Not to mention the abundance of geese (watch your step and carefull were you lay a blanket!). Its not like anything can be done about the geese but some better official and unofficial mgmt would help. It's a generally windy lake so sailboating is popular. Thats nice. I'm dismayed by the farm event cutting of a lot of large trees. I hope it was warranted for safety reasons. It certainly distracts from the scenery.

The fishing isn't too bad gets a little crowded because there are parts of the lake that are t accessable. The playground areas are a little out dated and small.

Nice quiet park and lake. My kids enjoy driving around it looking at the ducks, geese, and swans. I do not believe there are any playground areas which is the only negative.

Cool, well marked bike trails through the woods. Different levels of riding, good for kids and adults. A lot of spider webs in the early morning though!

We haven't camped there, but the RV spots look topnotch. The benefit for us is Blackwater dumping station. $10, bring a card, cash no longer accepted. And I have great admiration for the host there, awesome guy.

It’s ok. No swimming, from what I understand that was a condition when the land was donated. Lots of moss and I’ve never done that well fishing there, however that could just be me

We had a Family/Friends outdoor event. This was the only place Park and Rec had available, and let me tell you, it was the perfect place! We had over 50 people to show up, and everyone had a great time. There is plenty of room for the children to run around, nice size BBQ pit! Bathrooms right near the pavilion. Reasonably priced.

We had a good time on the hay ride. Hot dogs 🌭 and smores over the camp fire

Binder is a beautiful park that is spread over 644 acres. It has a large lake for fishing, sailing, and kayaking. In the fall, the park staff has hayrides where people can hire a tractor and flatbed trailer to take a trip thru the back woods and have a woodfire picnic. There are picnic areas and a playground, public restrooms, and a small store to buy or rent fishing gear and rent kayaks. There are numerous trails to hike, too, but use caution on them. Unsavory people have been known to frequent them as well. Hike as a group.

Nice, well shaded sites and very quiet while we were there. Close to places to eat, shop and gas. We enjoyed our time there and will go back.

The only thing that was annoying was the trail was not labeled very clearly.
