Overall this center is amazing. After a bike accident not sure how bad things were, and referred to a specialist. One half is walk ins and after an informative appointment, was scheduled with Dr Brandon L Barnds. Excellent services, compassion in consult and giving the news. He and his team are super with helping me navigate my surgery, options, and questions. Big thanks to them on my recovery!

I am frustrated by Bone and Joint’s staff. I paid for services in cash, and when requesting the order for my MRI, I was told it can take 7-10 days for an order to be sent to imaging!? I am sorry, is it really that difficult to fax/email an MRI request! And it may take weeks!! The staff said process time may be needed for processing my insurance; however, I paid with cash in full on the day of my visit. Debbie asked me if I was telling her how to do her job, and said I hadn't paid for an MRI. What she was failing to understand is that I had paid for services in full plus extra, and the imaging was being sent to a different business. Very incompetent and unhelpful! I suppose efficiency and timeliness are not a priority with this business for people with possibly torn ligaments! At my daughter’s health provider, they send the order with you the day of services rendered. I am certain pony express would be faster. This establishment seems to be operating in medieval times. Surprisingly, they did not recommend amputation.

Mr. Saunders was very attentive to my concerns and needs. I was referred due to my left foot being slightly sprained. I am glad he didn’t push for additional x-rays or surgery but to provide comfort and minimal alternative next steps. He educated me thoroughly as it pertained to my x-ray and options for physical therapy. What I appreciated the most is that he allowed me to advocate my desires and respected my request. I would recommend him to anyone I come in contact with for bone or fracture concerns. Thank you for your kindness.

I was really impressed with the experience I had at Kansas City Bone & Joint. The ladies at the front desk were very inviting, helping me along the way for my first visit. Registering online before my appointment was convenient, quick, and easy. The MS PA-C (Brandon Saunders) I had was very knowledgeable about my condition and didn't mind taking his time answering my questions. I left feeling like I recieved all the information I was looking for and needed in order to make a life altering decision without feeling rushed.

My son was in an accident and needed surgery. We had insurance problems so we were referred here from children’s mercy(I was NOT happy about) but after his appointment I feel like a million pounds of pressure is off my chest. I fully feel 100% comfortable letting him operate on my son. Dr Barnds hands down made this whole situation easier for us by breaking everything down and explaining exactly what was going to happen.

I arrived a little early and was seen right away. I appreciate how well Dr. Maier explains everything so we can make a good plan of action. I have been here multiple times and have been really pleased each time. I’m a very happy customer and highly recommend Kansas Bone and Joint!

We saw Brandon Saunders and were very pleased at his knowledge and confidence in helping us. He provided recommendations, and a new prescription. Today was the first time without pain in months. We couldn’t be more pleased.

BEWARE..If you are a VETERAN do not believe them when they say they've been contacted by your VA doctor and everythings a go. It had already been 2 weeks since his VA approved urgent care visit ,So he believed them when they said the the referral was coming . Make sure you have a VA referral # IN YOUR HAND. FYI The VA will not backdate this either ..Our family is now out $500 for 1 office visit. We are on very limited income and this is truly a hard pill to swallow. My husband has decided to live with the intense pain and hope and pray it resolves on it's own. I am leaving this review so I may help another veteran new to the system learn from this mistake..

I called yesterday and was able to get in yesterday. A pleasant surprise. Abby entered the room on time, had a warm demeanor, quickly and efficiently examine my hand and the carefully and clearly explained my condition and her recommendations. I had only a few questions and she scheduled my nerve scan appointment. I respect and appreciate her calmness, courtesy, efficiency and great recommendation.

My overall experience was amazing!! Then there was one lady who came in my room. While my splint was off, I asked her "If someone or if I could have my foot to my knee washed beforethey put my new splint on, since it hasn't been washed since the morning before my accident?" Instead of asking the doctor or someone if it was possible, this chick threw 4 alcohol wipes at me and said "here you go."

Took them 5 hours to respond to message. Then won’t make an appointment unless another doctor refers you. Then said he won’t see you otherwise…. Implying one doctor which they clearly have more them one. Waste of time. Why are you advertised if only some one can refer you. They don’t except cash up front patients. Sounds like insurance fraud to me

Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. From the lady at the front desk to the X-ray technician. They were so easy to talk to. I was having pain in my elbow and had had a previous injury to it, so I wanted to get it checked out. I saw Abby about it. She was very caring, a good listener, and very helpful.

I had an outstanding experience with this office. From Carrie at the front Desk to my radiology techs and my nurse practitioner Mikayla Strief, I have never received such efficient care before. The compassion, the energy, I didn’t sit in my room for over 5 minutes without someone coming in and either talking to me or taking me for imaging. It was so fast but she listened to me and needless to say I’m positive I have found the right care for my injury. I just wish I would’ve known about them sooner. I highly recommend this office. They’ve taken care of this flat footed woman!

What I especially appreciated was the friendliest staff, I was welcomed at reception I didn't have to wait long for my appointment and then the professional staff behind the scenes was amazing. The Dr was so nice and was accommodating to my needs. I left there thinking that was by far the best experience I've ever had at a medical appointment. They just really have a wonderful system in place that works with getting people in and out quickly and it's so nice. Highly recommend this place

All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. They made every effort to accommodate me through the process of diagnosis and scheduling for surgery. Dr. Hiatt was very informative and honest in describing my condition and the possible courses of treatment. A very positive experience.

Top notch all the way! Everyone from the sweet lady that checked me in to the two very kind nurses; Jenna and Allie to the very warm and supportive anesthesiologist (just to name a few…) to one extremely professional Dr. Barnds… all provided great comfort and care! Thank you one and all. PS - it appears that the follow up will be good too… :-)

Super friendly staff, very respectful and courteous. If you need a Dr that makes you feel at ease and comfortable, Dr Barnes is the guy. He gave me a couple of options on top of surgery and there was no pressure.

I saw Aaron Smith because of a scheduling conflict. I was very comfortable with Aaron and he was very informative and helpful. He answered all my questions and put me at ease about my concerns. Brandon does amazing at explaining and answering all the questions I have. Karson is the go to when I was concerned of infection as she connected with the specialists right away. Only concern is that my specialist, not Brandon, did not explain anything to my family after my surgery. I was not healing correct and this is where Karson and Brandon supported me.

Very friendly staff and doctors. Not looking to make a quick buck, but truly interested in helping the patient. They have the patience to try less expensive options first. My pocketbook really appreates that.

Aaron Smith, PA-C was so great to work with. He took his time to walk through my x-rays and explain the results and his recommendations. He is the best. KC Bone & Joint runs like a well oiled machine. I was in and out in less than an hour with minimal wait time.

I was seen quickly and very happy with Brandon’s ability to identify the cause of my foot pain. He recommended a place to get over the counter shoe inserts. I went there and was very happy with the service I got, especially the great fit the store employee achieved by trying on several options. The inserts are very comfortable. Brandon also gave me a list of exercises to do. They are easy to do and don’t take a lot of time, even though it’s recommended to do them 3 X’s a day. This is 3rd day using inserts and doing exercise & I already feel a difference! In a good way. He also set me up for re-evaluation in 3 months, with the option to cancel if I continue to have problems. Love this path, as opposed to surgery or something more invasive.

I have always had fantastic service at KC Bone & Joint. Dr. Bruce and his staff has always taken great care of me over the years in cases of emergency and elective procedures. I take comfort in knowing that any doctor that is assisting Dr Bruce is highly qualified. Dr Josef was polite, easy to talk to and very informative about my condition and my future options. A great bedside manner and his techniques were pain free!

My initial experience at KC Bone and Joint was EXCELLENT! Brandon was extremely thorough in diagnosing the medical issue and explaining the timeline of what to expect over the next 6 months. I was put at ease with his explanations as well as his listening skills. Great first visit, THANKS!

This was the second time in last 6 years I went in KCBJ for the similar diagnosis and I was out within 40 minutes with a satisfactory treatment. I would highly recommend this clinic and the helpful staff.

I'm a bit confused. The injection my husband received was to tell us if it's his hip that needs replaced or it's his back that needs fixed. We were given no follow up appointment and the Dr we saw the first visit has left the practice. So we are in limbo.

It took longer than I would have liked to get an initial appointment (10 days). But once in the office, everyone, from the front desk workers to the P.A., was super friendly and helpful. They did a quick XRAY, then the P.A. attended to me promptly. He was professional and seemed genuinely interested in helping me resolve my joint issue. He gave me good care guidance and offered several practical options. A follow-up was promptly scheduled and prescription was sent to my pharmacy right away. The entire visit was very efficient. My issue was a relatively small one, but they had me in and out in about 30 minutes, and I definitely felt like my problem was addressed. And I was told they would see me right away if I needed anything before my scheduled follow-up. I would definitely recommend this clinic and Josef Maier, the P.A. who attended to me during my visit.

Aaron Smith is wonderful to work with. He has been doing my knee injection for about a year. When I set up my appointments, I always ensure he is the one who is treating me. He is very easy to talk to and I recommend him.

Dr.Barnes top tier knowledge in soft tissue, bone, and sports medicine is phenomenal! I have had hip, and arm pain and compromised full motion. I walked out with a plan for motion recovery and zero pain after one visit. It was the first time to sleep through the night in several years. My appreciation to him, Jordan, his X-ray technician , and team! Deborah Alagna

I was listened to and got all my questions answered by Aaron Smith, the Physiians Assistant. X-rays were done right there and I got the full results. I felt I was in such confident hands and received a treatment that very day. I'm very happy that my friend referred me to this office.

I thought I had broken a bone in my hand. Nurse practitioner, Abbey, Filled me in on the good news that it was not broken after a quick X-ray. She's very pleasant and professional and Knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and the male nurses who 1st saw me into the room were very pleasant and very informative as to what was going to go on with the x-rays. I have used KCB J in the past for arthritis on a knee and for carpel tunnel surgery And have been very pleased with their service.

Dr, Aaron Smith is a greater doctor that listened to my concerns. He was able to aspirate my knee the day I called. He has a very professional bedside manner. I have complete faith in him, and would go back without question if needed.

Had hip surgery in February on my left hip. Great experience but knew I needed to have my right hip replaced as well. In the meantime my right knee was hurting so I wanted to make sure I was not doing any damage to my knee. Saw Dr. Saline's assistant Aaron Smith. He was wonderful. Took x-rays and assured me my right knee was fine (not so much my hip though!). He spent time with me and relieved my fear of knee damage. Definitely recommend KCBJ and Aaron! Barb

Should be able to give a 10. I needed a hip replacement and consulted 3 different doctors. Dr Michael Latteier was actually the third. I had chosen a doctor between the first two. My wife had a gentleman come in her office who had had a replacement and he highly recommended Dr Latteier so I thought why not. Soooo glad I chose to go see him. The consultation was amazing. His demeanor was amazing! He was so thorough in explaining and he had even made his own personal video about what to expect. I was sold and it even got better. His assistant Jen ended up amazing as well. I bugged her quite and she either answered the phone or called me back very promptly, always had an answer or found one, and was as nice as can be. That just isn’t the way it usually is or has been in the past for me. Thank you Jen. The day of my surgery ended up one of the best days I could imagine. I went into surgery at 7:30, in the car by 12:35, walked up my stairs when I got home, never took a pain med, and am so grateful for what he did. His surgical center staff was as amazing as he and Jen were. The whole experience was a 10. I highly recommend he and his staff to everyone. If you would like to talk about it, tell them to contact me with your number and I will gladly talk with you.

I will give this place five stars. After my doctor retired at this facility I was a little bit nervous starting over with somebody new. I was able to see one of the PAs for issues with my hips that hurt pretty bad most of the time especially since I travel a lot and walk through a lot of airports. He brought in another PA with him to the room and they both were extremely nice. Taking his recommendation I am setting myself up for physical therapy and we will see how that goes. Nick was my intake nurse and there was a longer hair gentleman in radiology that was also extremely nice. My family comes to this facility and we have never had a bad experience. I will continue to support Kansas City bone and joint and I know age should not have anything to do with it but I am glad that I got paired with a younger PA because I’ve had too many doctors retire over the years and I always seem to have to restart from scratch and this time I did not feel like I had to

I have a great team working on my injury. I wanted to single out an outstanding, P.A., Brandon Saunders.,MS.,PA. C. His professionalism and knowledge, are always impressive , but the way he interacts with his patients, is his finest quality. I have never left an appointment feeling rushed or not heard or unsure. Brandon goes out of his way to make patients know they are important to him. I have had a long road with a catastrophic, injury of my ankle and leg. I am fortunate and blessed to have him included in my recovery. I have had such great support and medical attention for over a year now. I'm grateful, for medical professionals like Brandon, who actually care about patients.
