We were in Oschatz at the weekend and actually just wanted to look at the church. We were warmly welcomed there and asked if we had already visited the tower. Although it was already around 3/4 five and the tower was actually only open until 5 p.m., we were able to visit everything in peace and were told a lot about the history. Wonderful piece of history to visit. Although there were lots of stairs to climb up, there were pictures placed along the walls to look at as you passed them going up to the next set of stairs. We were greeted by a tour guide who knew exactly what he was doing and told us the story of the church and made it very interesting. The view of everything around the church was fantastic too. We were offered cake and a drink in exchange for a donation which was lovely. All the people working there were very friendly and knew what to do and how to make the story interesting. A great visit and would highly recommend.
