Furthermore the mocktail and cocktail menu is very extensive. The place is a bit hard to find, but go there via the waterfront walkway or walk to the busy bee cafe and just before you walk in turn right down an alley. Big graffiti signs show you the way.

Fantastic food and beautiful surroundings! You can find Utopia down a little alleyway and once you enter, you feel like you’re at home. Lush gardens and the friendliest owner and service. Everything we had was pure and flavorful: the tandoori chicken, chicken thali, yum! You get popcorn as a snack when you sit down with a mint sauce which is delightful. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and kind. Even making makeshift rain ponchos for us to get home during a rainstorm! I highly recommend Utopia not only for the great food, but also for the relaxing atmosphere and the warmest souls.

What a great dining experience. The location is tucked away near the lake and away from the busy main street, so it's very quiet and idyllic. The service is excellent, and the food is incredibly tasty. I had the veg thali and it's a really big plate--maybe it's big enough to share but I definitely ate all of it on my own. The chapati bread is freshly cooked. I'm so glad this was my last meal in Pokhara/Nepal.

Ingredients are fresh and they use mineral water to cook. Lovely garden with fountain and rooftop, so even with some rain you can sit outside. The owner is very involved to keep quality high, even made a fire for us so we enjoy the garden when it got colder. Highly recommend going here!

I’m a big fun of Indian cuisine. Any country I travel, I always look for where to sit for a good Indian meal. Utopia Garden has the best Indian kitchen I’ve had for quite some time. We went back eating there on consecutive days and anything we’ve tried was fabulous. The service of the owner and his team is outstanding. Certainly one of the best restaurants in Pokhara and one you should not miss while in town.

Hate to be that guy - but found this place to be okay at best. We came here twice while we were in Pokhara because our first experience was not good, but we really liked the owner so wanted to give them a second chance. The first time we came was at dinner time - we called ahead with our reservation of 18 - the people were fully aware we were coming, and when we arrived they then told us their Tandoor operator was there so no naan or anything that could come from their Tandoor menu (half the menu). Honestly, at that point it was too late to go somewhere else, but we should have, but mostly I was annoyed they didn't tell us that when we called. Half your menu is unavailable including ALL your breads -that is just unacceptable to not tell people. When we did eat, many of the dishes simply did not come, the service was sporadic, and they were overcrowded. They accepted many large groups after we were sat and they did not have the staff in the kitchen nor for service to adequately handle the amount of people there. Spice - zero. We asked for extra spice in everything - there was no spice flavor at all. The best dish was the Honey Chili Potatoes, which were actually fantastic and the Paneer Patiala and Paneer Angara. The second time we went - we told them about our poor first experience, especially, the fact that we didn't get half the food we ordered. We came for lunch this time, and while the service was much, much better, I think the food was again just okay. If you are making indian food it NEEDS to have a level of spice, it can't just be creamy - all the food was just cream and butter. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it wasn't indian food. The vibe and decor is nice, the owner is wonderful, but the food itself is okay at best. There are 2 floors, an indoors and outdoors - the place has terrific potential, just needs to actually make Indian food the way it should be instead of a blandish version.

Wonderful place and the owner is lovely. Food is fabulous and the restaurant has a very peaceful atmosphere. We ended up eating here twice in our week visit as just loved it. We visited back in May and only just remembered to review now after promising we would. Sorry about that but better late then never. Hope to eat here again one day

One of the best places I have eaten at in Nepal. The food was really good (for the meat eaters, try the lamb sizzler and ask for the mint sauce to go with it) and the portions were proper.
