Superb, we'll worth a visit in Drammen. Great views and lot of nice foot paths. Stop by at the museum in weekends for a sweet treat and coffee, or visit Klopptjern for a swim.

Perfect place for nature lovers. Drammen Spiral is an unusual helix-shaped tunnel. Opened for traffic in 1961, the tunnel is 1,650 mt long and in the shape of a helix, with six rising circles, in the same style as a multi-storey parking lot. Each rotation of the helix rises 22 m, with a diameter of 70 m. The tunnel emerges at a summit 180 m above the town on Skansen Ridge, where there are parking facilities and a cafe.

Spiralen is an Interesting spiral tunnel road that leads to the top of the mountain in Drammen. Amazing view of Drammensdalen from the top. There is a road toll fee which is paid as a parking fee. The tunnel is not to be used by pedestrians. You have to be inside a vehicle to pass through the tunnel. There is a cafe/restaurant there on the top

Really nice view on the Drammen city ad River. 1.6 km walk from the city center (going towards the cathedal). The walk is not really hard, can be done also by bike, on the summit there is some hospitality but non always open (i found It closed)

İt was a great experience that İ was not expecting this type of a road. Just if you have a problem with your stomach be careful that you have to turn for 1,6 km. At the end of the road you will reach to great view

Pää meinasi seosta spiraali tunnelissa. Kierroksia oli monta. Näköala Drammeniin mahtava. Helikopteri lensi alapuolella, kun ihailin maisemia. Pysäköinti huipulla maksullista, mutta ei kallista: 4,19 € / 16 h. En tiedä kuinka tarkkaan valvottu.

A very out of the ordinary spiral tunnel. There's nothing exceptional to see inside, however the sheer fact that you're climbing up the road going spirally up is interesting indeed. At the end of your journey there are quite the views down from the mountain.

Great experience, amazing view, a lot of benches and tables to have a lunch or coffee. There also a restaurant on top.

There is a fancy lited spiral road that leads to the top of Spiralen. The panoramic view from the summit is captivating, showcasing Drammen's cityscape, the Drammenselva River, and the surrounding forest. Highly recommended place for tourists and families, especially during the summer months.

Beautiful view, especially if you climb without car, along the tourist path.

Fascinating to drive through the spiral tunnel. Great view on top, and a nice café. Unfortunately, there is nothing for the youngest visitors: playground or somewhere to climb. That would increase the number of visitors significantly!

The Norwegians love to build tunnels so much that they went for a spiral just for the fun of it! Nice views from the top, a cafe, and many trails in the forest.

If you are in Drammen this is a MOST visit place. A perfect hike to witness the view of the city from the top. + Full view of Drammen city + You can see the starting point of the Northern mountains. + A peaceful place to be during the afternoon + A nice cafe/restaurant at the top - The only negative was that the Google map showed a lengthy way from the forest which took us a lot more time to reach there. There is a short hiking trail near the Kirke which is not in Google maps.

So I am biased… I live in this city and Spiralen is the ONLY tourist attraction we got! It’s a tunnel that in the shape of a spiral takes you from downtown to the top of the hill in six (or seven??) revolutions. Once up there you are in the wilderness, dress accordingly! An open air museum well worth the visit, a set of forest tracks and a reasonable restaurant. And most importantly; when you meet people trekking in the forest you must say hi (this is a norm here in Norway) and it’s like 90% sure you will engage in a conversation, in the city there’s a 100% guarrantee nobody will ever speak with you (this is on us, it’s not you), so go here if you’re bored of speaking with your family- and want some fresh input.

Interesting drive up to the top, the view is great - lots of well maintained paths in the forest for walking, and the restrooms were clean. The cafe/restaurant at the top wa salso a nice place to sit with a coffee after walking around. They also brought out water for our dog, very kind.

I was a bit anxious driving throughout the tunnel but everything seems to be very well organized. The view is gorgeous! We were during the winter time. The place is just perfect for a picnic! Ar the restaurant we order a pizza for kids - expensive and not so great. I recommend some snacks from home.

Nice place with fine view on Drammen

Its beautiful! I liked the drive in the spiral tunnel. The troll footprints and the scary dolls in the middle of the tunnel is a woww moment! Restaurant and parking is available on the top. First time visitors, Dont forget to pull on a thin jacket if you are going in August. Careful if you are going with kids, Parents must be little attentive! Overall, a spectacular view ❤️❤️
